Ok, I was thinking of getting a loan of 430USD in BTC from btcjam.

From what I see, seems like common sense, is that you give btcjam more accounts & passwords? Your loan limit increases? Is this how this works?

What is stopping btcjam from running with all info? Keeping the info and never disposing of it? How secure is the info? What happens if they have a breach?
Had a had time getting a loan there the verification process is quite risky you will have to expose everything about you and your business and this is online every body can see it ,it's far more better to get a loan here all you need is a good collateral used to promote btcjam to all my friends but stopped when I spot some of it's flaw not recommended to get one here

Yea i decided to go with loanbase. What is odd is my passport and address is still pending, took photos upright, took photo of me with my passport and my passport and a govt document with my street address. And like I said in another thread/post I am on SSI and loanbase does not have an unemployed selection.

I am getting a little worried now. I called loanbase without any answer, several times I called and contacted support by email without any replys.

Support finally got a hold of me. I have to show last three months of my bank statement of income But! My bank only supplies one bank statement to a page then there is a drop down menu for lasts months statement so on so forth. The picture insert for retirement only holds one picture on loanbase. So wth? what am I suppose to do. I emailed them about it after they contacted me. They need to redo their website for disabilities & do something about their support response time. I've been waiting some where around 17 hours. This is ridiculous.

Edit:
I guess multiple attachments are allowed, I got my bank statements in.  Grin

Just hope they approve now.

Sorry that lenders here lost out on my business. But no one replied to my loan thread.

We can handle disability / retirement pretty easily if you are still interested in a loan. What was said about the more accounts higher the score isnt true when it comes to our system, there are many, many variables that make up the rating. We also have some higher limits for first time borrowers incase you were looking to get a loan of more than $300 and not have to do a rep loan first as well.

PM me if you want more info. Good luck with your pursuit regardless.

PS: loans are funding in less than a day with us, many of which are going in under 2 hours. We're looking for quality borrowers so if you guys are looking to establish a credit line it's a great time. Thanks

Above, I meant only way to pay back is in BTC?
----------------

They do not have unemployed, while I collect SSI.
Yes, payments only in bitcoin, both ways. I edited my answer above and added more information Wink

About unemployed: Ask the support.
But without a good income/collateral, you won't get a good rating, which will result in ridicolus high rates... so do your math before proceeding.

Thanks a bunch.

Now I have proof of income. I can print and take a picture of my bank statement, I am guessing this is what they want you to do?

And also, if I add my ID as well, does this improve the % of getting the loan? Cuz I've already added my Passport.

Edit:
Yup, I contacted support about unemployment. We'll see what happens.

I wonder how long it takes to verify the passport part.

I will be mad if after I sent all these documents in, that they want more information to continue for a loan.

loanbase also collects info from social sites, but it is not mandatory. So loanbase would be the better choice.

I see that btcjam only accepts payments in BTC, what about loanbase? Is it BTC payment only?
The loan is handed out in bitcoin, yes. But you can choose to calculate in USD, which means if you request 500$ at a bitcoin price of 500$ you will get 1 Bitcoin. And when you have to repay the loan, but the btc price is 2000$, you only have to repay 0.25 BTC plus interest.

I will be mad if after I sent all these documents in, that they want more information to continue for a loan.
For loanbase you just need the normal verification stuff and an income proof.
Social accounts and so on are not mandatory, but could give you a better rating. (I added some accounts, but did not get a better rating... so I do not advice to add anything, cause there is no guarantee do get a better rating.

And also based on your rating, you have a fixed lending rate.
So if your Rating is C4, you have a "fixed rate" of 23.31% .  This is the interest you have to pay regardless of the timeframe. so if you borrow only for one month, you have a high interst per year. While if you borrow for 9 months, your interest per year is lower (with 9 months it is something around 30% per year).

They are doing that because information carries more power and are worth more than you can imagine. (Whole idea of Facebook is build on that principle)
If I were you I would never try to get loan from btcjam, and instead seek it in a different place. If you have valid collateral you could always ask for money in bitcointalk's lending section.

what you said is perfect, giving full details and then getting loan is just like getting loan from bank through fiat currency, here in the lending section their are so many users ready to give you loan if you have a good and correct collateral, with less interest.

Well, the price for shipping collateral breaks the deal. I went with loanbase, submitted passport, phone, addy document and signed in with my email account etc. We will see what loanbase can do.

I think the riskiest part there is to give loan rather than getting loan. I have heard from many about getting scammed by burrowerer and i have also experience scam when trying peer to peer loan feature on perfect money before. So i suggest not to give loan there.

Regarding your burrowing issue, giving online account details of multiple important sites to single company is not suggested only to get loan. Even multinational company like facebook can't keep all their database secure so don't think your info will be safe with btcjam database.

I suggest to get loan here in this forum in lending section with some valid collateral which value near to the loan amount best of luck.

I agree. To much at stake for a loan.

I'll just have to wait. I do have collateral, I even have it up for sale. 7 pounds, 60 bucks round trip for mail if used as collateral + the %interest then the amount owed.

Are there other ways without collateral within the forums?

And thank you for your advice, advice is taken.
