There are still a lot of issues to be solved. Slow DB. Slow scripts. Also faucets are currently not working.
The admin told it has to move and at that the site will sometimes be down for that.
If you get errors, come back in a few hours.

It's not down. I even tried to make an account and log in and it's working just fine. Are you getting any errors?

All my balances are as they were.  I didn't have much activity in the missing five days so no harm to me as far as I can tell.  Already had a few borrowers and bond issuers pay within a few hours of reopening.

Long time member, user number in the low 8000's.  I, too, was more-than-annoyed by the lack of public updates.  Should have sent out mass emails with updates and announcement that they were open again.  Users shouldn't have had to request updates individually.  A mass update would have been less work than responding to a tons of support tickets all asking the same question.

It would be nice to hear some feedback from people who had funds in the platform prior to the downtime since the team hasn't made any official statements yet.

Site is back up indeed, but there seems to be a lot of mess they have to deal with. Data was lost for about 5 days, so missing transactions, negative balances...
1 loan already got listed and filled (from longtime good borrower).
It seems they are doing transactions manually for now.

If they give another excuse on the next update, I'd be very concerned. It's already been a month since they shut down and told their users that it would only take 7-10 days.

Got this message back after I emailed support:

Update 1-28-2022 - We are still waiting for the HD to be returned, however in the meantime we are still preparing the backup with the missing 5 days of data to get BTCpop back online as soon as possible. Before this can be done there is a lot of work that will need to be completed due to the missing data. This will include adjusting every members balances as well as loans, bonds, instant loans etc. late fees and due dates and all staking assets will need to be re-evaluated and adjusted as well. Please remember a few things, first and most importantly...your crypto is safe second we are a small team and working to bring BTCpop back online however it will take some time to accomplish if the HD is not returned and we have to continue to recover and adjust the last backup with missing data.


Update 01-21-22 - Progress is slow, we are still trying to recover all the data, we do have most except for the last 5 days leading up to January 14th, we will continue the recovery process and have BTCpop back up as soon as possible.

As you have probably already noticed we are offline at the moment, just be be clear this was a rare multiple hardware failure problem with minor data loss. After a series of strange and unfortunate events ending with the database hard drive failing, we had to take BTCpop offline for a short time. We are working to recover the database and hope to be back online within 7-10 days or sooner.

Any loans, Bonds, Instant loans etc that were due or are overdue will be fixed to reflect the time of the outage, all late fees/penalties are suspended until further notice. Once BTCpop is back online all accounts should reflect the correct balances (your crypto is safe) as well as loans, bonds etc. should all be corrected or will be corrected shortly thereafter, should you find a problem once you can log in then we encourage you to contact us as soon as possible...don't let it linger!

In the meantime should you have any questions or concerns you can contact Customer Support here: [email protected] we will get back to you within 24 hours. We also encourage all members to check back daily as things may move quicker than expected.

Thank You for your understanding and support while we get this sorted, we will be back as quick as we can. Lastly, without all you wonderful BTCpop members we would not still be around, so a big Thanks to all of you and see you a soon as possible!

compleet correct. cas had the site to his users you can look at the progress for pop v2.
cas had take a loan off 5 Btc few weeks back. few days later it fill...   than he came with all sort off  police came all hardware gone enzzzzzz ,later pop goes down like now.


i think all costumers lost now, but i hope i am wrong

What is? This is a third-party website. Apparently, they made it so users can keep track of the development progress, but after checking some of the tasks it looks like they're no longer updating it, most of them are from 2018/2019.

ooo didn't know btcpop was still alive... Waiting for two weeks doesn't look good. I would prepare myself for the worst

Someone emailed the support asking for updates

Meanwhile I emailed support. I almost got an instant reply. I asked about the status and if there is another chatroom to catch up with other users. This is the reply:

I suggest doing the same thing. While getting a reply doesn't mean everything is going well, not getting a response from them would be without a doubt a red flag. Try to ask another least expected question as well to make sure it's not a case of automated reply.

I just found an alternative address from their fb page post and it worked fine. Are you also unable to login from their sub page? https://btcpop.co/home.php#/landing/home
If you notice, between the main page and sub pages have different tab icons. If you think it's fine, then give it a try. But I suggest you don't use the main account.

https://btcpop.co is down for almost 2 weeks now.

Except for the message on the home page, there is no more news...
Anyone has more news?
