I see they've been offline for a couple of weeks according to someone on Trustpilot.

They don't update the main page! No news ... is not a good news! I've seen the same story in bitgrail, coinsmarkets, cryptopia and altilly ... scam is arriving ?
@paramind22 you can also check the website yourself mate, it is not hard to do but out of curiosity I already checked it for you. There is a message written in the first page that says they are working things and they will be back. They leave their support's email address for their costumers to check if they have concerns, here it is > [email protected]

They say they will respond within 24 hrs. I also found their social media accounts except from telegram, I have found a few but they are inactive and I think it wasn't officially created by them. Just try to check the links I complied below for news and other information. Hope it helps Wink.

I got 2740 emails purporting to be from them 2 days ago informing me there had been an attempt to log in from a new IP address. Took a while to delete as I could only delete 50 at a time.

I have also received spam from this garbage website.

What kind of spam did you receive?
You could contact [email protected]
We don't send out spam and whe I took over the site the code was really bad, no bruteforce protection and stuff like that so it would've send out emails on every login attempt.
Now there is bruteforce protection and you can even set in your profile what kind of emails you want to receive.
Every newsletter only goes to members and they have an opt out link, once opted out you'll never receive Newsletters again.

There is still a lot work to do and we work hard to make it a great project and solve all the mess the founder created, and I think we do a pretty good job there.
I covered all user balances from my own money ( That time more than 1500 BTC + lot altcoins ).
I published a signed coldwallet that covers the user balances close to 4 times now and was never touched since I own the site and there was ~1200 BTC moved out since I own it. ( only moved for coin splits but every time new message signed after doing so ).

The only negative ratings you find since mid 2016 are from scammers who failed to run with a lot of coins or succeeded but failed to steal more.
Our support always answers within max 12 hours.
If there are any wallet issues or whatever they get fixed in short time ( few minutes to few hours ).

I still put a lot of my own money into this project as it isn't profitable yet so just wondering what it makes a garbage site?
Meanwhile lot other p2p lending sites are gone, one of them with the owner defaulted on loans.

The only way you could receive emails is by signing up on our site, if you never did then probably someone else did and in the past there was no working email confirmation ( that was also fixed pretty quick ).

If you send a support ticket to [email protected] I'll remove your account and or blacklist your email so there would be never mails going out to you again.

If they are a staking coin, all you have to do is deposit them.
No other work required.

Somewhere on the BTCPOP forums, somebody documented which ones all stake, but I don't know where off the top of my head.

Basically, just deposit, and you should start receiving rewards whenever they stake.

@MandyViki, the site is legit.

I trust the owner there more than any exchange, or platform out there. Never once worried about my coins.
(And I've withdrawn BTC, and my alt stash from there dozens of times for arbitrage, and stuff. No issues.)

If it would help, I'd advise you to sign up, and hit the chatbox. There's generally a goodly number of people on there, and they'll help you out.
2018 is going to be a big year for BTCPOP. They're working on a rewrite of the site, and have a ton of great features in the works.

If you have any more questions about the site, beam them my way. I'll be glad to help. Smiley

Hi, @NardoPolo.
Not sure what your Pop username is, but you should log in, and hit the forums there. There's a dedicated thread to adding coins.
I think they're waiting until after the recode is finished to add new coins, but I'm sure they'd do it then...

OK. Thanks for the info.
Hey guys, is there any support here, or can someone pass this on to support?

I'm "calhroub" on pop,

It seems like my IP is banned for some reason...

I have no idea why.
I can't sunmit a ticket since I dont have access to the site.
no access t blog either, since it's in same domain.
I am not using  VPN or anything. This is my IP: http://whatismyipaddress.com/ip/94.64.220.99

Thanks!
- calhroub

UPDATE: I was able to log-in from my mobile device using 4g cellular internet (different IP). Apparently the website suddenly stopped liking my IP  Tongue

EDIT: All I had to do was refresh IP address and log back in. My understanding is that unfortunate errors like these will not be on the recoded website or it will be easy to fix them  Wink

There has been talk about it, but there isn't currently enough Dash on Pop.
1000 dash at 280 bucks apiece required to set it up, so that's quite a bit of funds that need to be locked for it to work.

That said, if you can find (or are one yourself), some whales with a decent amount of Dash to invest, it would be great to get that going!

ETH doesn't currently stake, so I don't see how that would work currently, but if ETH goes POS, I'm sure it would get set up on Pop. Owner/admin are *really* good about getting stuff updated for coin forks, etc...

Will eth staking require a masternode? Because that would make it a little harder, maybe.

Thank you.

Btcpop.co has really made P2P Lending viable until proper online identity is established.

After 3 years in the P2P Bitcoin Lending space and watching Btcjam + BLC go down I'm excited at the progress Btcpop has been making!

There is always the Bitcoin address that has never seen a dime, maybe that is why you have no collateral or money and just beg for loans under six different accounts.

First things first, why is there a thread suddenly for a site that has been around for years? That is just about as asinine as possible. Then, joe? Oh, I mean airtimer, lol, I guess you aren't using your other account for this one. And what is up with the invalid BCN address? Who you advertsing for, trying to impress?

BTCpop is a great site.

I'm not a borrower, but I do hobby invest there. You guys should come check it out.
While it is hard to have p2p lending in a world full of thieves, the site has collateral loans, (backed by altcoins and shares).

Great staking pools, a (lowish volume) altcoin exchange are also there.

It's really a unique place.
Their blog: https://blog.btcpop.co/

My advice would be to go there, and hit the chatbox. Talk to some of the guys. Ask them any questions you want about the site. The owner (casimir1904), is a great German guy, and he's in there multiple times a day. As long as you don't say anything positive about liking taxes, he'll answer all your questions. Wink

Don't write it off because of the name. It's been around for a while, and will continue to be. Give it a shot.

Thanks, that's great insight. I've been watching this site for a while deciding whether to invest. Good to hear from someone who has.

Why would anyone lend you something without collateral? You want to remain ANONYMOUS, offer NOTHING to them, and everyone to blindly trust you? I'd have better luck giving random people on the street money and asking them to return that and extra in a month.

Can you give us some more info on what takes to be verified in your site to avail loans and what are the collateral you treat as acceptable ? What exactly do you mean by peer to peer, will the members be giving and taking loans directly or you will be managing to decide who is granted with the loan ?
I guess you never need to consider any of these as entire crypto based lending market is facing down trend hence I am doubting survival of any new sites in coming days. But lending on this forum seems reasonably growing everyday as people value their accounts and only with this kind of system or physically knowing a person alone will help a lending business to flourish.

All the features being mentioned for this services are nothing new for a lending business as peer to peer lending/collateral based instant loans are very common for any lending business still none of them finding survival ways.
