Can I get some feedback on how the trade platform is slow?

Is it the loading? Or is it the actual trade? Do they make you wait a long time for the orders to match?

I'm not sure whether to sell my litecoins there. Is there a minimum withdrawal for bitcoins?

Hi,

My 1st post here after lurking for a while Smiley

Yeah Bter is a piece of sxxt. haha.. i tested it for 1 day, trading is slow, no liquidity, trade interface is annoying. worried..next day decided to leave with my 0.8 ltc to find out min withdrawal is 1 ltc. so have to deposit another 0.3ltc just to withdraw straight out again. haha..
lucky the coin went thru without any problems. now in another exchange, so far so good. peace.

I haven't had any problems depositing, or making a withdrawal from bter. Actually, I'm very impressed with the speed on both ends. However, the log out issues are incredibly annoying. There was an update today, and I figured that it may address the issue. I have found that using Firefox over Chrome is better. Chrome takes about 30-60 seconds to log me out, even if I refresh the page. I get about 5-8 minutes with Firefox. I'm going to give Opera a shot, too.

Also, if you send coins to the wrong address, don't expect to get them back. You need to double, or triple check where you're sending coins, especially if you're dealing with a large sum of money.

always check for limits whenever you go to any kind of trading website or site that asks you to deposit money, you'll find some people always have a way to try and con you out of your money, sometimes they're totally honest though and they're just putting limits in because of their fees etc. so you don't make mistakes.
I'm looking at their site now and there's no mention of limits until you actually try to make the trade.  Not a well designed website at all.  I'll be sure to read up on the reputation of any other exchanges before signing up in future.  Seems to be the best way to avoid unwanted surprises.

welcome - BTER is crap!  I have a BTC stuck there in a withdrawal , i put the wrong address in, so it just sits there saying error, but will not refund to my account, 20 plus emails in english and Chinese , nothing, the worst exchange ive ever used, id recommend people stay well away, no mater how tempting the ARB.
Yep, will be telling people the same if I see the topic arise.

So I've happily been using BTC-e to trade small amounts of FTC and NMC, just the odd dollar's worth here and there to test the waters until I figure out what I'm doing.  Managed to buy FTC at 0.00076 BTC and sell a day later at 0.00132 BTC, so did pretty well there.   Then I saw someone mention Quarkcoin (QRK) and figured I'd give that a go, but they don't trade it on BTC-e, so I registered an account at Bter.

It's possibly one of the most infuriating websites I've ever had the misfortune of using.  It logs me out at least once a minute.  Every time I try to buy QRK it says it's failed because "your order size is too small" and it says "the minimum is 0.01".  0.01 what, exactly?  I'm trying to order 5 or 6 QRK and last time I checked, that's more than 0.01, so either whoever made this site is an idiot, or they mean to say that the value of the transaction has to be at least 0.01 BTC.  And then after that fails it usually logs me out again.

Nowhere during the registration process or in the act of funding the account does it mention that you have to put in at least 0.01 BTC to be able to make any trades.  I'd almost go as far as to call it fraud, only I think it's more likely due to incompetence than any willful act of trying to con people.

BTC-e lets me trade small amounts, why can't this site?

//EDIT:  Should I have gone to Cryptsy instead?  They trade QRK and what I've read so far seems positive.  Probably missed my chance to buy QRK cheap now anyway, though.
