I have a hunch the market won't skip a beat and will shrug it off, I mean it's not like the coins are out of circulation but are more likely to be horded even, in theory supply wise it should increase the price!

And I'm sure a lot of bad people already own Bitcoin, now they own a few more.  Grin. Nothing to see.

You're being too optimistic.

The market won't wait with reaction until the actual BTC7k hits the exchanges. If traders expect the price to go down, the price will go down.

But in the long run, we'll be better off once all the incompetent exchanges die out.

i want to ask a question.  Bter doesnt use "two factor authentication" ? it s really basic security . it asks that 7170 btc will be sent from your address pls write here your authentication code or pls write here your password in the message on your phone. or it hacked completely??

Tomorrow morning all the newsmedia will be full of the hack details and the price will plummet. Again.

Lets hope that doesn't happen. A hack always does plummet the price unfortunately :/

I really wonder why this still happens.

One might think that exchanges have learned something form the previous incidents...

Maybe they have. Claim to be 'hacked' and get away with losing clients funds.

If that was proper cold wallet, then it's likely an inside job.

PICNIC! Shocked 0.05% of all bitcoin stolen!

Some damage was done to the charts today. Price may go down $30-$40 then it's business as usual I suppose.

When people are panicking, the smart investors are buying. Sounds like a buying opportunity to me.

Not cold enought. Or is it common cold wallets can be hacked  Huh

From what I've been told.

Computer with the cold wallet would need to have a virus or be accessed manually by someone inside. I'm no security expert though so some elaboration on this may be necessary

They are chinese...their idea of Cold Storage is putting the computer with the wallet on it in an air conditioned room.

Then you need a lesson on Chinese.
