I recently opened a couple of online bank accounts and the process is similar... They do NOT ask for the photo of you holding your ID though Roll Eyes

That being said, you only have to jump through the hoops once and you are good to go.

We will see this kind of requests more often from exchanges, they can't do anything about it. Governments are forcing exchanges to do this.
