I think that this is not mining, but a fee for installing equipment.
Profits $0.20-$1.50, why such a big difference in profit?
If 1.5 dollars, then I would run to buy this equipment, but it seems to me that there is no such good profit in this project.
the higher up your antenna and better quality the more you make.
Units at $150 and add another $200 in gear to get it above your roofline.and you should do fine.
Some days are $0.20 when the networks down or just unlucky on HNT rewards for witnessing.
Your rewards are basically based on antenna location and strength of your signal. Results may vary.

8 Months later HNT was the only survivor for me. I thought it would be interesting to update the differences in pricing from OP to now.

Not really sure that this post belongs in Bitcoin Mining.

It's been said a million times you can't effectively mine BTC with a GPU.

This thread should be moved to the altcoin area as it would be more appropriate.
I don't mind it going where it belongs.
I must say step 3 at 2miners.com seems to be very effective at mining BTC with a GPU. There's other options as well such as Mining rig rental's or Nicehash.
Congratulations by the way! But I'm curious why wouldn't you mention your methodologies on your big lucky win on a topic such as this?
Thanks for your suggestions.

Hello budget miners! I figured we could source valid profitable cheap entry-level mining ideas and equipment and processes in one post.
I will keep this updated to the best of my ability with suggestions and postings in the Bitcoin > Mining board.

 Graphics card Mining
It's a good start for a 1 GPU mining rig, you won't make a lot but its something you can run at home with multiple algorithm options leave it a good long term option as well as your operation grows.
Your looking at about $1.00-$3.00 a day this route depending on your Graphics card, minus the electricity cost. A 2080ti opens many algorithm options.
Here some profit calculators that are easy to use Nicehash profit calculator or check out WhatToMine profit calculator.
You can generally build a really cheap rig with old Dell Optiplex 790 systems or like-minded end of life systems. And a PCIe to x4 USB PCIe adapter just make sure its pcie usb and not a usb 3.0 adapter. these open up expansion opportunities on your low end board for around $20-$30.
If you dont have a powerful PSU try out separate ones with the cards and risers running on the same power supply with a power supply tester or a PSU bridge ($4)
Its a temporary solution but will get you by until you can find a deal on something of better quality.

Helium Mining

Helium mining is another way and probably the most profitable as far as equipment cost goes, 1k should get you a nice top of the line setup, A lorawan helium router $450-700 on ebay right now (bobcats are the best from what I hear, but avoid sensecap and syncrobit) , antenna (5.8dbi or 8dbi) lmr400 cable , copper rod, lightning arrestor,  4ft satellite mast, cat8 and some awg10 wire for your lightning arrest system.
If your lucky and have a rohn tower at your house you can make about 50% more then the network average putting it 10+ft above your roofline. every foot of LMR-400 cable degrades your signal about 0.04 DBI
(so a 30' cable =1.2DB strength degrade so turns a 5.8dbi antenna into a 4.6 dbi antenna essentially)
I make about $4-$7 a day on a helium router 35' in the air on a 5.8 dbi antenna. The wonderful thing about them is they only use about $1 in electricity a month.
If you go this route dont shy away from moving the antenna outside , before I put mine outside I ran it in a window and made like $30 a month,
My helium router outperforms all my other gear profit to cost wise. The crappy thing about them is you can only really run one profitably at home but if you have friends that would let you install one around town you can make a killing! (just check helium maps and dont install too close to other helium routers or your profits will go down, they can measure signal RSSI strength and if its too strong they can tell your too close to another unit/s.
Helium map to see coverage
Antenna mast for your roof
LMR400 cable with with N Female and RP-SMA Male Connectors
Lightning Arrestor
4FT Copper Rod
Copper grounding wire

I believe in BTC all these little methods such as eth mining and hnt mining are just ways to get more BTC much more efficiently. Also considering 90% of BTC is mined up already I personally feel that entering the asic game right now is a fopaux. It seems like every other day I read about a new 100-500MW asic mining operation opening, I can make the same as any asic with much less electricity and less purchasing cost, and I can run at home. (remember shipping to a datacenter is a longer roi since it adds to overall investment cost especially if your insuring your investment)
