SAFE

I have created a empty backup to copy-paste the EXACT name of this file.
Then, delete this.

And rename my "renamed backup with my standard name" to the old "official backup name" like : bitcoin-wallet-backup-2014-06-02

and it work to restore (with the same password that i have include).

Grin Ok ... can you correct this ?  Very thank !  Wink
I want to rename my backup file ... and restore it (from the download folder) by a name that i can recognize.  Kiss

OK

I have understand the problem ...

My backup, to organize ... i rename it with a pre-title (number of cold storage position + number of BTC inside + original date from generated title by backup system of bitcoin schildbach).

---

During the last hour, i have tried to turn in all way to reproduce the problem ... change password, short or super-long phrase in password, number or only text password.

But no.

When i rename the backup file : "cannot read keys" appear.
I always do this on my old backup ... and restore work on it (safe !)

but, when i have do this this day, the restore from a modified title don't work.
I rename the file with ES Explorateur.

Hello,

I have create my cold storage (the 6th) with the schildbach version like usually ... but, when i want restore the wallet, i have "cannot read keys".

I have tried with a wrong password, and i have an other error (could not decrypt bytes) ... so my password is good and i have "check" to view the password before accept to encrypt my backup wallet.

Can you have a solution for this, or i have lost my 0,8 BTC ?  Embarrassed
