Are these inhabited? Do we have to pay for them?
Where are these in the world?

On the 7th of June 1963 a boat called the Ribersborg collided with one of the towers, which fell into the sea without harming anyone or sinking the boat.

Looks cool but if an idiot and his boat can topple one of the towers... no thanks.

One of those Manusell Forts its actually a nation called Sealand.

I imagine for this particular fort the reason is that it is in the territorial waters of Great Britain.

Electrical source?

If you look closely to the pic you can see lots of windmills in the water.

Just connect there a cable and free electricity!!

I would totally dig that.

I love it, if I could I'd buy one of those platforms I totally would.

Are any of them for sale?

I don't know.

But during the time, lots of people have besieged them for some time.

For example these guys http://dprbcn.wordpress.com/2010/04/11/london-pirate-radio-maunsell-sea-forts/

Do you realise how big a prize a boatload  Wink of ASIC bitcoin miners is? You see there are no problems with selling it or laundering the money. Just convert some rented weed farm into a mining silo and you are golden. Pristine clean coins.

I am sure all the pirates out there will not let it stay there untouched for long.

With big ASIC farms think physical security first as it is the largest risk by far.

Well those were built in WW2 by the british army to defend against german bombers.

Some pirates won't do harm.

Alright guys, why the hell aren't we already heading to the Shivering Sands Army Fort and not establishing a Bictoin base there?

I mean it's in the ocean and we could put some big servers to have a private web and also host a big mining factory full of ASIC's.

More pics of the place:

I'm already dreaming of this.

The headquarters of Bitcoin in the middle of the ocean.

Sounds good.
