What coin are you planning to mine? If you want to mining bitcoin,
i suggest you to mine with antminer because antminer far stronger than GPU.
If you want to mine with GPU, altcoin is the best choice i think.

What you are doing is correct by making the decision to mine, and you are better to learn directly to the miners and if I suggest you better mine ethereum.
Hi guys im just planning to build my own mining rig , i have enough money to build atleast 6-7 mining rigs ? is it okay ?
