Definitely not a lame idea, affiliate marketing very seldom is, once you've built up enough of a presence in the industry you're targetting. I used to have a few many years ago, with some success and decent revenue, but the moment I left it, it all disappeared. Even dabbled with Bitcoin casinos on my own but found that the gambling targetted audiences I had access to weren't quite ready to either use Bitcoin or to switch from familiar casino names to pseudonymous casinos. You should check out gambling too, these affiliate programmes even pay out direct in BTC, no Bitwage hassle.

Your affiliate business idea is a good one and it will be good if you set it up immediately without wasting time. Though, i believe that there are other community that have embrace affiliate marketing but that shouldn't stop you. If you concentrate your own affiliate marketing that pay through cryptocurrency with bitcoin, altcoins or even the BitWage; it will move well provided you have valid informations.

Sure, such list is necessary. I have just looked for such list to add our affiliate program, and found almost no resources for the crypto projects. Such lists for regular affiliate programs were quite popular many years ago.

I think it would be interesting. Why not.

I am currently using a CBD Oil affiliate program to earn BTC commissions.  The commission payout is pretty good and then I am using bitwage to convert the bank payments to BTC payments.

Would anyone be interested in creating an affiliate marketer community to build a list of paying programs and then have a blog that explains how to use BitWage to convert those payments to BTC?

Is this a lame idea or do you think there would be interest?
