Hi, Engineer here so 2 cents.

The problem you will face is that when you suck air in from the bottom like that, is the majority will go the bottom racks, and the top racks will not get as much cool air, or if they do the air they get will be hotter.

A few things you could try:

Make each stack its own unit, have cold air come into the bottom for rack 1, then have a separate area for the air to come into the rack number 2 up top.

Also you could facilitate VELOCITY to cool the GPUs. If you have a smaller intake than you do exhaust then by the laws of fluid mechanics ( like how air moves also) the VELOCITY of the smaller intake will have to increase in order to move the same volume through the piping. Think of a fan on a hot day, do you feel cooler with faster air hitting your skin, or with slow air? Same concept.

Hope I helped Smiley

Are those 480s?  Problem I had with them is:
1) they run HOT!!!  like 80-85 degrees hot.
2) there is no where really for air to circulate in them, in the fan out the back.

They are not like other cards where you can add fans to keep them cooler.

Good luck!!

Did you build your frame by yourself or bought it?

They are bought several years ago from a builder on bitcointalk

I actually have a silent rack enclosure that is not too dissimilar from what you're after.  Noren Products used to make something similar, here's what they look like:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Noren-acoustilock-acl-24td-Calor-quitar-aislamiento-Caja-/131650938133?_ul=AR&nma=true&si=IWcY%252F7nB6ueLbsvoNe%252Bbk0Tu4xM%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557

There is an air intake in the bottom back, then a passage it goes through and vents into the front area - the air then flows through the machines, and in the back top there are extraction fans.  There is another passage across the top, and then it vents out the top left and right sides.  The upside of this design is that not only is the airflow great, but it's also effectively silences the whole build.

That sounds promosing.
I will check that construction out and see If i can improve my build a bit.

Thanks !

I see air is coming in from the bottom to circulate out the "exhaust" from the GPUs but I don't see how that air would keep the gpus cooled. (*I am by no means an expert or know poop*) Just seems like you would need fresh air pulled from the outside where the cards are located to keep them cooled.
Right now i am pulling fresh air from outside the storage + dumping heat outside (forced vent in and out)
But the heat just circulate inside heating up all stuff in there with the rigs.

The inlet air in the cabinette drawing will also be fresh air from outside. I am hoping that all stuff in the storage wont heat up this way.
Not sure if i am doing this right, i dont know anything about ventilation.

The airfans that will push and pull air in/out of the cabinette moves air 187 m3/h

I am hosting my miners in a really small storage and it just cant handle the heat.
Now i am planning on building a force feeded closed cabinet to put my frames in.

My frames, will stack two on top.

The front on the cabinet will be removable for maintenance.

Do you guys think this will work out ?
Inputs are welcome !
