Let's suppose you build a normal mining rig with 6X1060 3GB cards and the total cost is 1800 Euro with all components included.
One such card when mining Ethereum or Zcash makes to you 0.00021 btc per day or 6 of them 0.00127 btc per day without taking into consideration energy costs, when we add energy costs of 0.0003 btc per day in total profit per day is 0.00097 btc which I am rounding to 0.001 btc per day or 0.03 btc pure profit for a month which is only about 150 USD with actual bitcoin price.
Electricity cost I took 0.08 Euro/Kwatt which is the minimum cost of Energy to start mining and being little profitable, anything above 0.08 Euro/Kwatt will drastically low down your profit.
If it's worth to you go ahead and start mining, if not do not start as simple as that.

Now is not actual to make own rig's because of hardware cost. Wait some time , maybe prices go down.
To give you an example : I bought 1500$ for 2 rigs in June. It was quite cheap because I found lots of 2nd hand components (GPU / CPU / etc.)
And now, I make 250$ / month (WITHOUT electricity bill)... And electricity cost a lot.
==> honestly, with the actual ETH rates, you won't make BIG profit

It depends on your rig and what you will be mining. I think mining eth still profitable with good GPU mining rig.
