If you goal is to just extract your BTC... you can simply export the private keys and then sweep (recommended) or import (not recommended) them into the wallet of your choice.

NOTE: You DO NOT need to have Bitcoin Core installed or synced to be able to do this.

- Wallet Properties -> Backup this wallet -> See other backup options -> Select "Export key lists" -> Click "Export keys lists" button
- Make sure you have selected the following options: "Address String", "Private key (Plain Base58)", "Include Unused (Address Pool)" and "Omit spaces in key data"

All your addresses and private keys (WIF formatted) will be displayed in the text box. You can copy/paste or save as required.

you will get more responses if you start this thread in the Alternative clients > Armory subforum
isn't there a way to easily get private keys from your old armory and import it to your new bitcoin core
I read Armory has something like A Paper Backup feature/utility

ArmoryDB.exe stopped working

at 88% - 5 minutes left

If I close the window with that error message, also the cmd-window that prints the log disappears, but armory remains on the screen at 88%.
I close armory, since I think that it will not continue and be stuck at those 88%.

Hi folks!

Last year I was victim of a hacker and had to pay in bitcoins to de-encrypt my data. My first purchase was with an armory wallet. I was never able to see my purchase, because downloading the database took ages.

So I have a fraction of bitcoins in old wallets, now I took a clean computer with enough memory, and I installed bitcoin core.
It took over one week to download some 170GB databases.
Now I try to start armory. It begins, but stops always at some 80-89% of "Building databases".

It happened 4-5 times today, not always at the same percentage (89% was the best value).
At this moment it is at 84% and it says, it takes 8 more minutes (the last one at 89% was stuck for over one hour at 7 minutes left before displaying the error message).

Is there something I can do to avoid the errors?
I have Windows 7 Pro 64 bit, the computer was formatted about 6-8 weeks ago, and I hadn't used it all this time.

Thanks in advance!
