May be you are not good at marketing, I saw many of them are good into joining people through their affiliates, I do not know how they do it but it seems that they are success with it and get pretty good profit just from the refs. The really problem is how to attract such a big whale to play under your refs, if you can only find even 1 big whale, you will be easily get profit everytime. Let say they wagered 100 btc and you get only 1% you will get 1 btc easily

getting referrals can be really rewarding and it's not that hard to do but there is some work involved
sometimes just putting a signature here with your referral link and a banner to the site can be good , I was in a gambling site campaign and had like 40 referrals just from the signature ,one of these guys was averaging me 20mbt daily for around 2 months then he stopped playing
so there is some luck involved too when it comes to marketing

the best thing to do is to offer percentage back for your referrals , this is the best win win situation for both sides

Advertising is the key, you don't have to use a website that you own, just make use of existing advertising networks or search engine advertising.
The hard part is that you have to be able to buy clicks cheap enough so you can turn a profit.

By trial and error, you'll know on what keywords to bid, which networks you should use and what to write in the ad itself.

Having your own website is a big plus, you'll basically be able to advertise for free, but if you don't have one the options listed above can also work.

Building website and bringing that website on the first page of google takes really a lot of time and it needs lots of energy from a person. After doing all these things still not sure whether you can get a real referral because many people just read the reviews but never really use the referral links to join any site. Many of us will be tried half way and give up this method.

The other best option is Youtube channels. If you really post some good videos about any method or like "how to ..." solve something then people may start to believe in you and may follow your links to join. In this method as long as your not cheating people, then you mostly get some followers to your channel.
