do you guys think this is a good psu for 3 270x
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817182188

Make sure you check out the specs of that mobo and CPU before you buy...

And you shouldn't need this much power. 270x's are efficient in terms of power. With 3 cards... you should be able to get away with an 800w PSU.
ok ill look for a 800 watt one than

or an 850

Oh, and if all works out well, please do leave me feedback Smiley
ok ill report back when my build is done Smiley

Here are the cheapest items I found on newegg that could run your 3 card set up. NOTE: All I've done is a quick search for the cheapest hardware that might meet your needs. I'm not saying to go with these, as I wouldn't get them for me, but that's me.

Motherboard:

Processor:

PSU:

Total cost: less than 120 USD with shipping my zip code. It's not difficult to find what you need. I wouldn't be surprise if you find something cheaper Smiley

Good luck!

thanks.. i am going to buy the motherboard and Processor but find a better PSU i dont trust a 17 dollar one lol

You can't just blindly put out a budget like that, and not look at what you're getting.

Figure out how many GPUs you're going to want to run. The difference between 2 GPUs and 5 can mean the difference between a $50 MB, and a $150 MB.

Cpu and RAM are going to be the same price no matter the GPUs involved.

PSU is another factor, tho. Buying just a 500W PSU will work with 1 GPU. You'll spend at least $200 just on the PSUs for 5 GPUs.

For our 5 card rigs, you can pretty easily count on $200 for the MB/CPU/RAM, $200 for the PSUs, $100 for the risers, and another $100 if you're building an aluminum rig. For a 3 cards rig, maybe $150 for the MB/CPU/RAM, $150 for the PSU (singular), $60 for the risers, and $5 for a milk crate.

This is of course, assuming all new hardware (cept for the milk crate Wink ). Buying used can save some cash.

Naturally, the first question is: for how many cards? That info is needed to identify a mobo and power requirements.
three or four cards max i would prob just buy one more 270x and stick my three cards into it
