I've been hearing this many times now that there's still a bull run that will happen in the crypto market this year regarding that bull run signal that you been saying I guess many of our fellow crypto enthusiast haven't seen any bull run signals at all because until now bitcoin is still on its lowest market value along with the many crypto currencies out there which are greatly affected by the bitcoins market value.
Many of those that are giving those predictions are just expressing their feelings and what they want out of the market but if you see the charts there is nothing indicating a bull run or even a correction, so it is clear that we are going to see the current prices for long, but people should not feel depressed because of this since this is the opportunity to buy coins for a good price.

Based on last year/years bull run, what do you consider to be signals that indicates this kind of movement? Do you see these in nowadays' BTC/Altcoin markets?
Buying sentiment is very low and that has affected the market.  The bearish trend witnessed from February this year is something to watch as we are having ranging trend now.  The bullish trend signal will commence if we can have a news or technical issues that has great impact on blockchain technology.  Investors are ready to put in money but every body is waiting for any reason why they should put in money.

As of now, I don't see any sign of bull run aside from Bakkt that other believe to make the price rise enought to make us happy. Of course still not a guaranteed since we really don't know what were going to happen until we got there. Also, you really can't see it,  price does unexpected things.

Bull run? what bull run?

I see only alot of people running away from crypto, one by one everyone I know is cashing out and keeping fiat.

Total reverse of last Nov/Dec crypto where everyone is dumping fiat into btc..

Lol. What bull run indeed? However, I need you to believe one thing, that the only set of people running away from crypto right now, are the cowards, weak hands who are just looking for an easy way to get rich and trust me, when the time comes when the market start moving up, they always come back to join FOMO eventually, and that makes me wonder how someone somewhere will be doing the same thing over and over again, expecting different results.

However things turn out, we cannot tell what the future brings, but smart people and more of them, are really accumulating in the crypto space right now. We may not see a bull run now, but it most definitely will come at some point, again!

Based on last year/years bull run

This year is not like last year. Today is not like yesterday.
Anybody claiming they have such signals 100% working they are just simply lying (why don't they just use those signals for themselves?)
And for the people with less experience in trading: beware, not all upward trends are long-lived, some are simply bull traps. Keep your eyes open.
This is very simple and yet many simply do not get it, we can try to see how the market moved in the past and use that to predict the future but our predictions are never going to be accurate because the market is never going to do exactly the same, if someone in the forum had the ability to predict the markets with 100% accuracy that person will be the richest person alive.

the bull run signal seems to still not happen I see the bull run will take even longer because the cryptocurrency price is currently experiencing a bear market.
Although Christmas is far away but still this is my opinion about the bull to take plague. We will be seeing the market going up and benefitting hundreds of people for their patience throughout the year. Every year in end, like the fourth quarter of year have got good news for bitcoin and other altcoins. It seems this is going to happen again. We are going towards a jump of bitcoin.
I want to believe the main reason why a lot of people are so much looking at the possibility of a bull run is because they are really expecting that to happen as it always has in the last quarter of the year. However, this is not something I will be so keen to see happening with bitcoin as even though it gets to move up, there may really not be much movement upward, and instead at this point, I will possibly be expecting the altcoins to actually be the ones, doing most of the movement.

Time will tell though but based on what I can see, the bull run may actually be something that will only be possible with altcoins, with the way they have been gearing up for a while now.

let's start with a bull market first, and then after a long steady bull market then a bull run could occur.
A daily close above 7200 would look bullish for me now.
There is actually no point calling any bull run at all at this moment, when the likelihood is not even there yet. The market has been in some consolidation for a while now inside a triangle and it is how it breaks out that would matter which at this point; we might end up getting to see a continuation of the downtrend or a change of trend upward.

It is only when we get to see the upward scenario get to play out before we can even start assuming the possibility of a bull run which I believe that even though we manage to get close to the previous ATH before the end of the year, we may probably get to have a sell off before we will now see what 2019 will bring.

The only thing that will indicate any form of bull run signal now will be the bulls managing to win the fight to get a breakout to come upwards but for now, there is nothing clear yet until to just simply wait for that moment eventually. We all know how volatile the market can be and why it is dangerous to assume anything at the moment, knowing that however the market tend to break out, there is usually a huge volume on the break out, so it is best to actually get to have a better signal with a break out. For now, rather than talking about stability which is just temporary as the bulls and bears are trying to show equal power, I would pretty much just relax and watch how events unfold.

A lot of people become a victim into these things especially for beginners just because they only think of easy money and quick returns from their investment. Yes,  this is a just bull trap for those people who want to gain quickly and less experience. But these doings never succeed if we are all aware and vigilant of what happen around us.

Yep. I think the only best sign will be a huge FOMO. Well, no one knows where that'll come from or when. That's because, honestly speaking the market hasn't responded to any good news of this year or any speculation as it happened last year. It just keeps on drowning.
But let's take a look at this tricky tether FOMO. Just look at how it drove market up.

yeah this is true. though the cycle is a lot shorter this time (~9 month bear market as opposed to ~14 month bear market last time), but yeah we're in the equivalent to the spring of 2015 right now.

Probably we'll be in a new bull market sometime in the next 1 - 5 months. End of Q1 2019 at the latest.

Yes I just saw one graphic earlier today showing we are now in March 2015.

Honestly no, there is not signal that indicates bull, the market salso not in a good condition, few times the price go up with a good signal but being dragged down again, don't expect too much that there will be a bull run this year, but no bull run doesn't mean crypto in bad shape, crypto just start to heal and stabilize
And yet you will see a lot of people claiming that we are going to see a bull market by the end of the year, they do not care about what the market is showing and they do not care about reality either, they only care that according to them the market has taken a lot of money out of them and now they want that money back, that does not make sense but what can we expect of people that invested in bitcoin without knowing anything about investments.

I don't see any signal in the market indicating a bull run. Market is majorly moving sideways with no assured upward/downward movement. Last time too bull run wasn't there until Thanksgiving. I think, if there is any upcoming bull run, it would be clear by November mid or end not before that.

One of the most visible signals, that a bull trend is occurring is the emergence of large and long traded volumes. This means that new participants have come and they are interested in purchasing cryptocurrency.

Do you mean those people who are starting to adopt the technology which they help to consider as a major factor that may help of what we are hoping? (Bull run). Still the root cause remain to be unknown and the crypto community are still waiting for the positive outcome within this quarter.

From my point of view I don't see any indicators for bull run. Price is more or less stable for a while and it looks like it will stay so. Some price changes are very small and don't show signs of potential biger jump.
The end of year is near and there is not much time left for some significant price growth and this time I don't believe in miracle that in the last time price will cross 8k or 9k.and pump even more.

There is not much of a point to try to look for signals, if you look for them you could find some weak bull signals and you may deduct that we are close to a bull market, but if you look for bear signals you will see that the market is full of them but that can only tell you how the market was in the past and not how it is going to be in the future.

i considered to be signals is the deepest dip after the pump. because we all know that before bitcoin rise and reached the ATH, bitcoin already suffer a ATL before and slowly recover until the ATH happened last year. meaning a slow recovery is one of the reasons on how difficult to predict the next bull run. but i am sure that there is no bullrun this year.

Whenever we see the price is fluctuating and going up averagely then we should start thinking to sell our coins in the right moment. We will sell only if we accept the profit we can get after selling if it satisfies you then you can surely sell and if not then you will have to wait for some more time in order to let the price go up or higher. In current situations there is no bull run and we are waiting for it from a long time.

With a positive motivation and determination we can hope that bull run will come and appear soon. Maybe not this time, as we struggling the current risky bearishness that lead some people leaving and split negative FUD in crypto world. Even if there is no sign about pumping up, yet we have to widen our patience accepting either in bearish or bull run. Patience is the only weapon we can use, so we can contour the situation and make a good deliberations.

It's pretty random if you ask me. We don't know when the whales would start a snowball effect and pump the price to start fomo. It's hard to base when from past bull runs since what caused it then may very well not have the same effect now.

actually what you said, this mentality, is the reason why we have bubbles. people like you who think bitcoin is like a pump and dump altcoin that only rises because it is "pumped by whales" are always waiting for that "pump" to come and when it is already too late (eg. price over 10k last year) they start buying with FOMO and cause the bubble.
but as this mentality goes away we can see how the cycles become shorter and the bubbles less severe. like the current bear market being much shorter compared to the last one.

The pattern is about to form and we have to look at morning star breakout signal or pin bar. If a pin bar can form on a daily chart then expect that bull run has commence.  Never depend on the technical indicators alone to make an informed investments decision but wait and follow what the professionals are saying and invest along with them.
Well with point let us not depends on the technical indicators at least at this time price has been stable at 6k and did not drops further. It is very difficult to conclude if the bear condition in the market ends and we enter into new bull run phase. No one can gives accurate even signs that we are into bull run trend but hope is exists.
There are no even visible signs that the market will have to have some bull run. Let's just hope that the market will soon to develop since there are no news.

I can not say for sure whether such a bull run will almost repeat itself. It always takes longer than one year to repeat such a cycle. The start of the bull run could be the rise in bitcoin prices, which has been the case in the past. First went the BTC price and then the other altcoins were added. Today the price is mostly stable.

If we are going to look at history, well can are still the bear cycle, comparable to 2015. But I like what I'm seeing as the price seems to be on the $6k range so probably investors could be just waiting out in the wings before entering again. Probably we are at the tail end of this bearish trend and 2019 might be the year of another massive bull run. Let's see how it pans out.

Yeah its clear with very strong confidence that the bear market ended beginning of September and now we're just sliding sideways until something sparks the market to start the next bull run, like as you say in 2015. I don't think we'll see a massive bull run in 2019, as I think it'll take time for the bull run to build up and I think Wall St will get into the market slowly. I think 2019 will be like 2016 in that Bitcoin will spend the year heading back up to the ATH, perhaps hitting $20k-$25k end of year 2019, then by 2020 Wall St should really be getting in, the halving will occur, FOMO on Main St will ensue and the price will leap up into the 6 digits.

I can not identify any of this, maybe it's because I'm not an expert? who knows, but I can say this: we can not compare last year with this year. This year we still have some hope, I'm talking about November 5

US SEC Sets November 5 Deadline for Reviewing Nine Bitcoin ETF Applications

and this:

Unconfirmed: US Regulators Could Approve Bakkt BTC Futures Launch in First Week of November

this could lead us to $ 8000 to $ 9000, which would already be very good for this year

We cannot predict the market, the price is in up and down condition only. There is no good growth in bitcoin value recently so i think there is no signal for bull run. We cannot expect the massive growth like last year, the bull run may happen but not immediately it will take some time. Hope and wait with patience till the real bull run starts.

That's true, but like in 2015 there was nothing to push the price up to start a new bull run. Most people still had never heard of bitcoin, there weren't any countries accepting it like Japan in 2017, no halving reward like in 2016, wasn't popular to be talked about in the news constantly like it is now, big institutional money wasn't interesting in it like they are now.

But now there are a lot of things going on for bitcoin that can start the bull market. BAKKT, Fidelity, other Wall St investment or news, ETF acceptance, people simply realizing that we're at the bottom and the time to buy is now, perhaps friendly regulation or more countries accepting it, etc etc. While there is no way to know when it'll start up again, it seems very likely to be soon with new markets opening up and all the attention bitcoin gets. It's not gonna trade sideways for terribly long, no longer than a few months at most I'm sure.

I can't say on what I should consider as a signal for the bull run. The easiest would seeing the price rise from $6,000 level to $10,000.
I don't see any of those indications and the fact that the market has been stagnant for quite long or we're just bored and thinking that few weeks are already long when bitcoin didn't moved an inch for next price target.

you can find that the price volatility of BTC is lower than Amazon stocks. It indicates something is going on before the next bull run.

Stability could be an indicator for a bull run, or at least a strong rally, but what you ignore is the possibility that this stability can drag on for another 5-6 months if nothing changes. If Q4 historically wasn't a strong quarter for Bitcoin, the stability would probably drag on as stated.

I think at the very least the stability is the sign that the bear market is over, which is a precursor to the bull market. I don't think there are any direct bull market signals yet. As you say sideways trading could very last for months. Last time Bitcoin was between bear and bull markets it lasted for about 9 or so months trading between $200 and $300 from early 2015 until Oct of that year. That cycle was extended as the bear market itself lasted over a year and this one only lasted maybe just less than 9 months, but yeah we could see trading continuing to go sideways between the 5700 low and the 7400 last high of the bear market for several more months before a move upwards.

We do of course know about good bullish things happening in the near future that could jolt the market into the next bull market, the first of which is BAKKT in December. I think at least once BAKKT hits in December we'll be on the second half of the sideways transition phase and perhaps we'll start crossing some technicals at that point that look bullish and might just take another couple months to actually see the market start driving upwards.

It's funny how the mainstream media always knows how to sell its articles to its noob readers. During volatile times they say that Bitcoin can't be a currency because it isn't stable, and when it finally is stable, they say that Bitcoin is being abandoned and is desperately in need of more adoption, lol. It seems that Bitcoin can't do anything right from their perspective, and I'm sure they don't even want it to do well. Drama always sells better.

Now market is much more stable than the previous year. I can't see any sign of bull run. Btc and other Alt coins like Eth's price aren't fluctuating like before. This is the positive of the crypto world. Too much liquid currencies can't sustain in the long run.

Based on last year/years bull run, what do you consider to be signals that indicates this kind of movement? Do you see these in nowadays' BTC/Altcoin markets?
NO sign of bull run was happeing this year but I saw someone said that we have some positivity about cryptos among the investors which may leads the price to push to the level of $8000 at the end of this year but still nothing predictable so buying at the current price is the best practice inmy opinion.

Alright, I was going to post this, even though it is probably too simplistic for my taste, but everyone can make their opinion.
Apparently some people predict 50k at the end of the year. That is if you follow the same trends that we had been observing before each halving. That would be absolutely epic but probably not realistic.
So more likely a foolish prediction, we'll probably get closer to 20k before March 2019, that's more realistic if we predict that the ETF will finally happen.

the biggest signal is right there in front of you if you look at the charts. and that signal is the stable price and the strong bottom buy support that has not been broken this year at all despite all the attempts for it.
Exactly, we are playing sideways which is really good in this market. Last year pump is just a price manipulation and I think this time we are building a solid foundation so for the next bull market it will become more stronger.

It seems that there are no signs of movement for the Bull run, it cannot be predicted just by looking at the current situation or a few months ago. But only a hope that should happen, if I can predict correctly. Maybe now I will spend my money to buy coins as much as possible. Be patient with all this, and remain optimistic that the time will come. Cool
There might be no signal for thex next bull run but I think you are doing well right now since you are buying cheap coins right now, profit will be great on you portfolio for sure. Smiley

Absolutely! I keep telling people that the price surge of BTC in 2018 was not organic and could not be sustained. The price has been fairly stable for months now and that's a strong indicator that it's in a healthy position.

A few things could cause a bull run, of them is a an ETF approval. I'm personally not counting on it either as there are no clear signs it would scale through. Other than that, some major adoption by a country or a conglomerate could spark it.

Those attempts is a good signs for us to be able to develop a perseverance towards reaching for the best price to come in the market trend. Set aside the worries, and instead of being worried for the bad things in crypto you expect more great changes to happen since bull run potentially will make every person wealthy in the future.

I have read a lot of opinions and predictions about this years' bull run and majority are bullish. Bitcoin is pretty stable at $6K level so that is a good sign. We could see a market rebound probably at the second half of November.
Yea maybe but for those who bought their bitcoin at a higher price may not be good for them. Well everyone is waiting not only for bitcoin but for the whole crypto world to really have a breakthrough before this year ends.

The growth will be! It's not just blind faith! Volatility has collapsed, RSI, news, user growth. Everything points to that!

Current market conditions are quite stable, this is good for developments for coins or related tokens. Because with so little risk for a very high price jump. pending what will happen next in 2019.

To determine when does bull run begins or happen again just like what happened way back 2017, as far as I can see with it no one knows when will it bounce? especially the market was too unpredictable and the market was in an stage of declining period in terms of its price value. But there's a rumors after October it will starts or By November, but it is still an speculation. Although, nothing to loss if we hold on to that rumors.

Japan entering the picture for me is the main catalyst for the bull run we have seen last year. So I guess we should consider a nation adopting and embracing crypto as a good indication that a imminent bull run is going to happened. So now, I'm not seeing any news that might trigger this sort of epic proportions this year. But there's a lot of positive news next month like the Bakkt bitcoin offering so we will see if this is enough to at least get us to 5 digits.
