The difference between the  bearish market trend and bullish trend is that , when market is bearish, the oriced of coins tend to always be on downward movement while in bullish market trend the reverse is always the case.

Bull markets are ussually waves of green and high prices for crypto coins, and bear markets are the drop and dump for the price at a level no one maybe expect and price continue drop day by day and no one can know when the drop will stop.
Bear markets usually is the sale of the market. You can buy everything by that time because most of them are very cheap. While in the bull market, everything is expensive, yes high prices.

And now it is assumed by most that we are on the bull market while last year, it was the year for the bears.

its not that easy to tell the difference  . there is no price limit or price point that tells you that the market is already in bear or bull state  . people only uses the price history as a reference  .  one thing is for sure  . bear is when the market is decreasing or in red phase  while bull is when the market is increasing  or in green phase  . bull vs bear  , its hard to tell the winner because both have advantage  .  we can sell at the bull and we can also buy at the bear  .

share a little knowledge of seeing bull and bear markets
I used to see prices for a few years back. there are many similarities in 2014 bitcoin prices with 2018 as well as 2015 with 2019.
I think by the end of 2019 we will see a bitcoin bull in accordance with 2015 price movements.
well, in a brief explanation, when prices are stable, and suddenly price increases occur in a short period of time with very high increases, I think it's a bull market. while the price decline that occurs in a short time with a high enough is a bear market.
Bull market is not going to happen unexpectedly, usually you can notice this one on the price chart of every coin. If there’s a continues up trend and the price are getting better now we can say that its a bull trend. The bear is just the opposite, or the bearish trend if there’s a continuous dump it will take a while to recover.
Agreed.Bull market also needs time to make it happen. We will know if its bull run already once the market price chart is very positive and almost all coins are increasing their prices continuosly.Bearish trend is where almost all coins are dumping its price making all traders find it hard to trade but a good opportunity to start buying cheap coins but with great potentials.

Youtube tutorials isn't enough for you as a newbie. If you want to learn more about bullish and bearish market, you can search more about it. But just a brief infos of their difference, bull market is when the price will go up with the candlesticks of green and with some indicators pointing up directions. Bearish market is the opposite. We can still trade with those both. Just do study more because both are very risky.
Yeah there are so many informative sites which gives knowledge about it as well as I know when more people sell their coin and traders use to trade at panic so it reduces the price in market and that red market time duration is called as bearish, when it rises and more people invest so the green market time period is called as bull, so after bull now it is time for bull

Stupidly when this bull market gives a good increase and the crypto market looks crowded to throw away, and for market bears, it looks red and more investors will collect coins. Both of these conditions each have risks that we must be able to deal wisely so that the management of crypto assets benefits.

It is way to easy too distinguish whether the market is at bull or bear. Bull market is when the prices are rising and on the other hand, the bear is when you see the prices are going down. As simple as that.

actually when you are still trading between crypto currency exchanges, actually between bulls and bear markets is not much different. the difference will be felt if you count your assets in the FIAT currency count, then it will be very different.
that's true because when we calculate the results of crypto trading after being made in the fiat currency it will know that the bull and bear markets are happening, but for this year the market will definitely experience a bull run and I'm sure that
Everyone is basing our crypto assets to fiat value as it is how we measure our assets in this world.
Crypto is still not widely accepted, most convert their crypto assets to fiat to enjoy their profit since most of us that are here are investors or traders
which aim solely for profit.

Bear market and Bull market for me is just a timing in the market, hence this gives opportunity to buy or sell at our own will.
This is not only for early adopters as the market is moving, we will see ups and downs and this gives opportunity for newcomers to get in at a great value.

More like a season. A season for accumulation and a season for taking out profits. Though it's not applied to everyone since those who are skilled and experienced are the ones who really take advantage of the swing in trends. For others, it's just a season of greed and a season of panic and regret.

The primary factor that determines the price of crypto is the amount of buy and sell orders. Bull market is when price goes up when there are more buy orders than sell orders, however bear market is when there are more sell orders than buy orders then price goes down. If everybody is really HODLing the price would not be crashing, it would be at least steady. People start to panic, which causes them to sell, which lowers the price. That’s very right. Constant rise in price and the chart is green. Bull market is the rising market and bear on the other hand is the market that declines i.e. declining market. When the value of stock are up 20% from a low, that is bull market and bear market is when the stock value are down from a high, if you know the animal bull and bear and their respective characteristics, you will understand how the names originated.

The bull animal is known for rising up its head when it’s about to get attacked, while bear animal rises up its head to attack.

At the level of speculation there are many ways, you can observe the Order Book and see how many orders there are and to what direction the market is heading, these observations must be done at least in Months, Days, and fractals of 4h, 1h, only to establish how is supply and demand.

However, there are many walls of sales and purchases in the Order Book that can be manipulated by the whales, but seeing the volume of transactions, we can have an idea of how much struggle they have to lead the Bulls and Bears.

According to Tom Williams author of the book "Master the Markets" just by seeing the volume can give us a clear and detailed history of what is happening in the stock or currency, who can read the volume, knows very well what is happening, and who is winning.

Then the difference can somehow be discovered if the price goes down with a lot of volume, it means that the market is very bearish, that is, it has many sales, there is a lot of supply, but if the market goes down with low volume there are fewer purchases, which means that there are fewer purchases and if the price rises with a lot of volume means that there are more purchases, more demand, and if it goes up with little volume it means that there are fewer sales, less supply is somewhat risky, or that there is simply no offer floating.

A bear market is when we keep seeing the red bar on the chart consecutively which might be days or month. But for the bull, it is when the charts is on green for days and month. Although during this period there's a tendency that things goes side ways. This might be a short green bar during bear or short red bar during bull.

Its virtually easy to decipher.  Bull run period in crypto invloves a time where most coin are being pumped and attaining a nrw all time high price. While the bear season is a period of time where most coin are experiencing dip in price
Not that easy, what we have to understand is a cycle that we must use well before bulls and bears occur. If you just conclude like that, then chances are you will be a late person to make good use of every moment or opportunity. Because to reach the peak of a bull and bear there will be a certain period for the trader to prepare everything well so that the trader can buy and sell at the right time.

There is no such thing as " period of preparing " because in this market that we have right now , everything here works in a fast paced motion  .  the price can go up and down unexpectedly without prior notice to the public  . there isnt also a right or wrong time   . it only depends on the user if he will buy at ath or sell at lows because not all have a simillar goals   .  others will only prefer short time while majority are aiming for long term

Of course it is very different, if there is no difference between the two, certainly bearish and bullish can occur simultaneously? whereas many people currently waiting for bullish to occur?
there are many people who want bearish, there are many people who want bearish, depending on their interests at the time, and thats why they are different.

sometimes people are afraid to buy in bearish, because it is feared there will be further bearishness. precisely in my opinion, when in a bearish area, we must learn to look for long positions, so that profits are easier to obtain

Also when buying in bearish market is riskier for other because they want to earn by buying and selling simply trading and they end up to loosing their value and sometimes their money wont be able to circulate to earn more value.
I don’t think anyone should see a bearish market as being risky, the problem with many people that are into the system is because they only speculate prices and don’t take advantage of the technical and fundamental analysis available to us to be able to decide time to buy when the market has bottom and cannot go further bearish but rather looking toward bullish trend.

If price of a coin rose to about 1000 usd from 200 usd, the moment it start depreciating gradually below that price already makes it bearish, so the best time to buy is not the bearish market itself but to wait and study when the coin has finally bottom and cannot go lower.

Nice video with clear trading strategy, most time what is used to differentiate the bull market and the bear market is the direction the chart is moving. Once there is a constant rise in price and the chart is green then we should know we are in the bull market and when it move in the opposite direction that is bear market.

The price changes if the trend changes but since you are doing trading maybe he means that you should ride the prices and not focus too much if its a bull or bear. The difference here is also with the emotion of the investors, its given that if its a bull run we are so excited but if its bear we feel bad of course since we are losing the value of the coin.

I agree on what creeps have said . as i trader myself i dont usually foccus on the price or on the bull/bear trend but i only foccus on my trades  . i can still manage to earn income at all times no matter what are the market condition .

bear and bulls are only important if you are an investor that constantly buy coins for a long time hodling .  you need to wait for the bear or when the value of the coins decreases before you buy and you need to wait for the bull or when the value of the coins increases before you decide to sell

A bull market is a situation where the market rises high. just like the term bull, which means running fast. here it is likened to the crypto market running fast to the moon.

while the bear market is a falling market situation and is silent for a long time. the same as the term, bears, animals that are silent but deadly. for the market, the situation illustrates a market that has remained silent after falling and the situation is very deadly for investors or traders.

If everybody is really HODLing the price would not be crashing, it would be at least steady.
In the long run for sure, but short term speaking, hodling isn't much of a thing. You can hodl like 90% of Bitcoin's entire circulating supply, yet the important factor is the remaining 10% that can be used to affect the price negatively.

Research proved that before we crashed from $6000 to $3000 that wallets accumulated more coins than before the bull run (not counting known exchange addresses), yet we still lost another 50%, and that in a very short period of time.

Buying demand is what matters in the short term, not hodlers. If you have way less buying demand, you'll pretty much see what happened in Q4 of last year. $6000 was low people said, guess what, it wasn't low enough....

Bullish pressure seems to be waning as every attempted rally is quickly dispatched by strong bearish pressure. For now, the market structure remains bearish as we continue the trend of lower highs. The rallies are becoming weaker and the supply is drowning the remaining demand toward the top of our trading range.

Bull market - when the price goes up and you can get profit and bearish market - when there are no positive trends and the price declines, it is a risky period to invest your money
I don't think it's risky to invest your money when the market is bearish. In fact, buying at bullish is riskier than buying in bearish market. It's beause when the market already soared up, the tendency of resistance to the price is more likely to happen. Buy low sell high.

Bull market - when the price goes up and you can get profit and bearish market - when there are no positive trends and the price declines, it is a risky period to invest your money
Though you may right there but if you think it thoroughly it might be a blessing of disguise since the price is cheaper you can actually buy more than and accumulate as much as you like than buying it when it is on its peak already. The riskier to invest is when you invest when it is on its peak already when the time it has to go down there is no way to go up but instead down. That's why you have to buy it when it is on its bottom and wait for years until it goes to its peak.

I don’t think there is anything difficult in telling when there is a bull run or bear market. Even before it starts , you will see a lot of people talk about it. Just like in 2017, a lot of people predicted this current bull run and that’s what happened now. They are also predicting the bull run and that might happen at anytime. But, if you’re the type that’s watching the market keeping up with everything , you’re likely to know when it starts.

The bull market gives more of profit taking , it puts investors/holders in green mood  Grin
Obviously, because it's easier to trade at this market since the price going uptrend most of the time.
The fact that most of us are making easy money when the market is bullish, majority would prefer to see a bull market.

but as for the bear times, is more of sad moment for same holders but people who trade would still be making profit on the bear.

Sad moment if you will sell, but if you will see the opportunity to load your portfolio, this becomes an opportunity.

Any trader who cannot decipher between the two extremes is not ready to be a trader or is not qualified to be called one. Its also something worthy of note to consider that these two points are equally subjective as someone who entered the market when the price was $3,500 and now price is $3,700+ would surely believe that he is in the bull era but the same cannot be said of the individual who entered at the time when the price was around the $4000+. There is no need for any special lesson of videos to watch to be able to discern these two important positions.

Those that does not benefit from the bear market are investors that buys and keep for long term, professional traders makes profit both during bull run and the bear market.
Investors are very smart on this and for those of them looking to maintain positions in the stock market they quickly adopt a defensive strategy, this is the strategy that allows investing in larger companies with strong balance sheets and a long history of their operation, they consider this to be a defensive stock.

On the other hand, it is the riskier companies, such as small growth companies that are typically avoided because they are less likely to have financial security that is required to survive the downturns.

There is no excuse to make profit, whether its a bull or not. There is no difference at all aside from the prices, but of course professional traders always have their own ways to maximize the market. I see bear market as an accumulation phase, and bull as a profit taking.
It is all users will to take profit or to lose the money as if we really want to make profit it is good time to  buy at bearish and stop thinking about selling for long term as bull will come one if you invest your money hold it with to wait, bull comes when price of market rises, so the only difference of them is bull stands for high price and bearish stands for low or red market.

From a technical point of view and at the market level, one can observe the effort that is made in the trade when a green candle is generated, if it is accompanied by a good amount of volume and its movement is persistent and is maintained for several days. , it is a clear option that there are many bulls that push, in the same way with bears when they lower the price of the market with volume, and the most traditional way is to observe the Book of Orders.

A bearish market always behaves like a bear market. In this market, Cryptocurrencies prices are stagnant -- prices are lost more than they are gained

While the bullish market behaves like a bull market. The market experiences more upward movement, less dips and stagnation, better still, prices are gained more than they are lost

The bullish market is identify by two indicating elements which are the chart moving on a green lane and secondly profits making from trading and holding. But the bear market on the other hand is accompanied with red chart movement and losses, but in between the bullish market and the bear market is what we term stable or stagnant movement were smart trader make little profits till the market skyrocket again.

Just price increase is not good enough indicator for a bull run. The trading volume also needs to increase and then we can start talking about bull run. Right now the volume is relatively low and it would be easy to increase price by few thousand dollars. Simple pump of a million dollars of fiat would increase price a lot. But that wouldn't mean we are in bull run because price would likely fall back down soon after. However in true bull run the volume is so big that it sustains slow growing and the price doesn't crash after big gains.
I agree because bull run it takes months or years that we can indicate the bull trend is happening. Small spikes of price increases it doesn't mean bull run is coming. It is natural to Bitcoin or entire crypto that have to fluctuate and that now happens to the market if small spikes happen the opposite side had a bear market.

Red signal refers to bear market and green signal refers to bull market. At the time of bull run, price grows rapidly and we can able to earn profit easily. But on the bear market we can't earn profit easily.
It's just a basic needs on how to know what is bull when it goes to green signal and red signal or should we say bear market. As you can see the market has a positive changes which most of us predicted that it is a sign of bull and maybe it's also a good sign that bull run will appear anytime.

I think right now, we are in the (almost) ended of the bear market, and some coins get a bull market situations especially altcoins. But until the bear market is gone, we will see the market will move like this, and it's hard to predict when the bear market will end with exactly. The bull market will come soon after this, and I think we can use this moment to rebuy as many coins as we can so we don't miss the best time to sell when the bull market comes.

The bull market is a situation which all coins can increase higher than the price before.
The bear market is a situation which all coins have decrease even deeper than the price before.

I only determine the difference of the bull market and bear market like that, nothing more.

Identifying the difference between bull or bear market is difficult. Most times market seem to have been upturned for another trend to emerge but the next moment, it comes back to the former. Anyway, I just use candle stick to try my best on a long duration.

In my opinion, the bull and the bear market is totally different. The bull market means that the price of the cryptocurrency market is going to run and reach the peak, and the bear market is showing that the price of the market is decreasing and reach to the bottom.

its not that hard to tell the difference   . bull market means there is a noticeable gains  in the market  while bear market on the other hand means the price of the cryptos are decreasing  . sometimes its hard to tell if there is an official bull run because a bull trap can usually take place whenever there a sudden increase in the price  but a bear market can easily be identified because there is no such thing as bear trap  .  if ever there is then it can rarely occur  .

Bull and Bear are terms for actions that are often carried out by key players, especially in the crypto market and in stocks. Bull and Bear traders tend to contrast, have opposite directions on the market because both have different attitudes, goals, and desires.

How to identify the Bull VS Bear Market, maybe we can find out by using technical analysis tools, such as Price Charts and Moving Averages trend indicators. In this way we can find out which sentiment controls the market.

No it isn't! There are rules that tell you what is what.

Quote
perhaps the most common definition of a bull market is a situation in which stock prices rise by 20%, usually after a drop of 20% and before a second 20% decline.

You could recently see some swings of more than 10% but there was no big hype because traders did not see it as a bull market. When Bitcoin goes back above 4000 dollars and stays there you can start calling it a bull market.

Bull and bears are terms that would always be commonly encountered in the bear market, and it shows how the stock is doing at a particular point in time.

For new comers or novice investors, these terms are always a bit confusing but we can know this by analyzing that attacking style of the animals and in this case, the red signal is known to be the bear market while green signal is referred to be the bull market.

Now for the above comparison, I would say that judging from the market from 2017 till now I would say we are experiencing the bear market and our present market from 2012,13 is bull market.

You'll lose -70% of your crypto value if you did this after Jan 2018. You would lose 70% of your value if you bought on top, from there price can only go down, so every new buying before bottom is a loss, if you decide to sell, you always have an option to lock that coins in some wallet and wait new ATH. I remember that crazy year, price didn`t drop on 4k in a day, there were a lot of fluctuations, and some pretty nice spikes. I was earning a lot of money, now much less but I`m earning.
Have in mind that I`m talking about bitcoin, not about some random token/project. If you don`t believe in bitcoin, and in price rise in future, in which coin can you believe in than?

You cant even make yourself dependent into fundamentals or technical. Price can turn upside down in an instant or without being noticed. As a trader you should really

I think the problem lies when people call everything a bull and a bear. Bull and bear only applies if the price moves a lot, if the price is $4k and than goes to $20k that is certainly a bull run, even if it goes as much as $7k its a bull run, however if it moves from $3.4k to $4k thats not a bull run, that is just the regular movements of bitcoin that is quite common.

It also applies exactly the same for bear run as well, when it dropped from $20k to $4k that was a bear run, hell even the drop from $6.5k to $4k was a bear run but price dropping from $4k to $3.4k is not a bear run.

When you realize this fact you start to realize the biggest difference because it is required to have a huge difference in price to be on the bull or bear run and you will know the difference during that huge price change moments, these small changes happen all the time but those huge changes happens only few times a year.

We are in a stable cycle. Over the past 2 months, I have witnessed many increases and decreases in the crypto market, but it seems to return to a fairly low value.
The value of the BTC after the market is dumped is still higher than it was started to pump. so we conclude that it is in a stable phase and there are only a few small fluctuating moments.
This is a good time to buy low and sell high.
I won't say we are in a stable cycle over the past 2months because no crypto currency is stable even the stable coins/token also loose some cent some time.
The different between bearish and bullish market is bearish are the season of red trend in the market and only experienced trader can make successful trade during those moment but one good about bear market is that it great a fresh opportunity if making huge profit investors which bullish market was the season where investors sell the coin accumulated during bearish market and almost all crypto can make a successful during bullish market cause the price if the market usually increase simultaneously.

Since I am a short-term investor and a trader, I don't have much difference between the two periods. Although the bull period is a very important process especially for long-term investors, I think that both bull period and bear period do not contribute much extra to traders like me. Of course, during the bull period, it is possible to make faster gains because of the intensive and high transaction volume, but a good trader can find this opportunity in the bear market.

If you will compare the market from 2017 up til now you can really say that we are on bearish market however if we compare our current market from 2012, 2013 or 2014 it will come that we are on bull market right now because of huge market capitalization.

I don't think it's difficult to judge at all.

There are certain indicators such as what the mainstream media is talking about bitcoin that can be used as pretty much the proof that we are currently in a bear, or a bull market. If the mainstream media is screaming buy, it is likely due to the fact that market sentiment is extremely bullish and we're in that phase of the cycle. Vice versa.

Or, just look at the price movements. If a value of an asset is continuously correcting from previous highs, then you know it's a bear market.

What is hard to judge is when the start of the change within a cycle is. Not the actual market itself.

As stated in a quote above, there are lots of possible ways to manipulate the market. Every user isn't much aware about the various market trends, as we don't go in depth analysis of the market technically. Now only I too came to know about the accumulating trend which is the reason for the market to be moving within limits and not moving higher.

whenever you are having a hard time telling whether we are in a bull market or we are in a bear market since you can't see enough signs to be sure about one trend or the other, that simply means we are not in either one of these trends!
the thing is, despite what most people think these two are not the only two options. we have a lot of different trends for example accumulation is one of them which is currently going on.

Just look at chart and tell me how that looks to you, sometimes it is really simple to see difference between bull market and bear market.

When crypto market start making higher highs and higher lows we could speak about the end of bear market.
You can truly see the big difference in bull and bear market buy just looking in the chart. Always remember that bear market is a kind of market where many people do not want to see or happen because it result to a low income. But, when it comes in bull market many people tend to buy more cryptocurrencies simply because of the income that they could get.
Actually the end is of the accumulation phase, because we are not in a bearish phase, if we review the graph, we must realize that the volume calculated by tradingview is not a consolidated volume, because we need volumes of some exchanges of Koreans, Localbitcoins, among others. If we do not have a consolidated volume, it is like entering a casino to bet.

To see the real fight between Bulls and Bears, we could see it from the perspective of an Orders Book, and the Orders Books that are shown in each Exchange, but because the big operations occurred from Bitfinex and Kraken, it would be very valid for we. to observe the Bitfinex order book, since the other exchanges adjust their price for Bitfinex arbitrage.

By having an idea close to this, we could say that for an upward phase to begin again, it must have accumulated the majority of the bitcoins, that is, between 70 and 80% of the bitcoins and have exceeded the offer. At this moment, the price will be ready to go up, otherwise, as we are in these moments, it is better to wait, since we do not know which direction to take, we can speculate, perhaps stating that there will be a small bull, but in the same way , the Operators will obtain gains, with a correction.

Bull market is when the price is continuously going up and in the market everything you see is green. While during bear market you will not see any price growth, at best the price will stay the same for some time. Also during bear market you will see major price drops in a short time, the same thing we can say about bull market(of course in the opposite direction).

I'm sure everyone's answer can be justified, but logically that the market decline and market increase starts from the order point you make. when you trade you have to know where you are right now. The entire trading chart is only a past story, so you should see the potential for increase and potential for a logical decline. I realize this is not easy, but this can be an important note to determine your trading position at the starting point.

Copying by investing or analyzing others will not help you become rich.
You need to understand the situation and the principles of the market change every year to know your position.

It is hard to find where we stand in volatile prices. Because there are a lot of people have lost and even abandoned crypto because of these losses. It may also be their fault, but the obscurity looks main reason. You can stay away from this for a short time, but in the end you get caught.

It is very easy to tell the difference between bullish and bearish market. In the bullish market, graphs and currents are there to be shown as high and the prices go with green colors. Compared to the bearish market, it will appear to be graphs and currents going down and prices going low.
However, both of the markets had different characteristics which are very contrast but everyone could take advantage of both. You just need to be good in technical analysis and a little bit of speculation to win the market.

I don't know what is there to be confused about when we are down to more than 80% from our current ATH. You might be talking about the consolidation stage we are in where we are both seeing green and red candles as well as price rallies and price corrections, well make no mistake as this are just actions common in both market the only difference is the price actions we are seeing now is happening in the bear market. Just remember the points that if we have not seen any reversals of the market we are still in the current market situation which is the bear market.

There are big difference between bear and bull market. Bull market refers to the rapid increasing of the price of all cryptocurrencies in the market while the bear market refers to falling down of the price of all cryptocurrencies. Right now we still experience bear market but all of us are hoping for bull market.

it is very hard to earn money during bears. opening short positions are also too much risky because whales hit the positions periodically. all we can do is wait and hold whatever you have.

Actually, the most amount of money that you can earn could be during a bear market. If you are just hodling and wait for a price to be hit and make a profit then you will probably do not make a lot of profit. Shorting the price and playing with short term trading can be proven very profitable. You just need the experience to do that.

Red signal refers to bear market and green signal refers to bull market. At the time of bull run, price grows rapidly and we can able to earn profit easily. But on the bear market we can't earn profit easily.

Bull markets are generally characterized by greens in charts and overall market sentiment that lean towards the positive side of things. Even news outlets are reporting good things about the market so it's easy to spot on. However on the bearish side of things, normally this is generalized by poor volume, price crashes and overall gloomy atmosphere in the market. Sometimes, it's hard to spot bear markets given that there is this phase that we call "denial" as everyone is still leaning towards a leap back to normalized prices however the trend seems to be dictating a downfall on prices and whatnot.
