This could be one of the reason why I always see a lot of newbie comments on some give away threads....
You are exactly right. This the main reason of flooding some ann thread with newbies unnecessary posts. Also, you may notice it that these users post in only the specific ann thread that are paying them.So when you take a look such type of ann thread try to investigate a little bit you can find the project are paying them directly/indirectly. that is really untrustworthy but maybe sometime they do it because they are not enough aware of forum rules and they compare this forum like the same as social media/other workplaces.
