I think that theymos analyzes[1] the success of the pumping algorithm and will be generalized to all Marketplace boards.
So I think the solution to this problem(Bumping Spam) will be soon.
Also, if the rules of the forum are properly understood, "some solutions, such as the welcome message," will reduce spam due to the difficulty of scam.

Generally, marketplace boards need a lot of extra special rules and some real changes.
[1]
Bounties (Altcoins) is added to the targeted boards. For other busy marketplace boards such as Digital goods, I'd like to wait a while and see how this goes, but they are possible later additions. For local boards, local mods can PM me to request that the boards be added to the list if the first page of the board is always full of topics with a last-posted-in of today.

however none of them was reported via the "report to moderator" button. If you report the bumps via that they have a much better chance of getting dealt with.
Yes, I don't report because of them for example.
I did many time the same user and the same thread, like this :

I've dealt with all the ones that I can, however none of them were reported via the "report to moderator" button. If you report the bumps via that they have a much better chance of getting dealt with.

I've been seeing this a lot too in other sections of this forum. I'm guessing it's probably they wanted to keep the thread "alive", and when I mean "alive" it will constantly be on the "updated" topics of the specific boards. So users will still have a chance to dive into the thread. Because honestly, whenever I want to read new topics I don't have the need to go to the next page (what for?).

So that's probably why mods are letting this slide, well unless the topic is utter gibberish.

Maybe we should have some sort of encouragement for good behaviour.

I know Trust system wouldn't be appropriate to be used on something like this--so, a new system similar to that and will only be dedicated to "encouragement for good behaviour" would be nice, yeah.

Maybe we should have some sort of encouragement for good behaviour. I've just bumped my photography project with a new purchase report, and I deleted the previous post, so that I didn't have 2 consecutive posts. I think it keeps the thread cleaner, but I suspect that many bumpers don't care about this. I guess deleting a post reduces activity and sig views, so that is a disincentive.

There's not much that can be done other than reports. This bump issue has been pestering the forum since 2010. You can PM the users about it and tell them a few things regarding the forum rules, whether it is official or unofficial and just report the post if they aren't deleting it, sure, it's extra work. But at least you'll help them understand the rule rather than seeing their post deleted out of nowhere.
