What is the reason for this sudden increase? Is it a bot net that is mining?

I can plot my Samsung s7 10gb but currently it's years to do a block .

The android wallet could have a small part in it ?? One 10000 downloads could equate to 100000gb approx I can only use one pool so assume that pool would get the extra power

I think it was just because there was a span of 10-15 blocks that got hit really qickly. Hence, the difficulty shot up to over 150k to make it average the 4 mins a block. I was completely amazed just watching it climb though. Was wondering who would have brought so many hard drives online that quickly. It's back down to around 80k, but has still been climbing up like I said. Popularity is rising.

Indeed,
Many people started to mine it,you can see it in the youtube a lot of videos created to help people starting the set up and a lot of videos created showing their earning every month.
Not only that it has been proven by their developer and their supporter mining burst using hdd more effective other than mining using GPU.
Low cost and efficient make it more popular in these days.

But,a lot of people didnt like to do it because only a small coin can be mine using it and hardware prices are really high

The difficulty of Burst coin has been steadily rising over a week now. Just a week ago, it was at 45k it's now sitting at over 140k as we speak. What do you think this means for the price? The coins are getting harder to get. Seems like the price should climb up pretty soon in my opinion.
