I also agree with you if burstcoin is a good coin. but the value is too much, so many people prefer to buy rather than invest and buy directly from miners.

It relies upon their organization's center group. Today there's a considerable measure of ventures that has nothing to do with the network. I see some ICOs that spends assets to publicize their activities in multi media and paid articles through news.bitcoin.com.

On the off chance that they're not giving more spending plan for publicizing then likely that ICO will be vanish soon.

I've recently heard about Burstcoin. It looks like a really great coin, especially since they make it easy for the not-so-good hardware people. Uses your HD space to mine which I think is awesome.
I want your guys opinions on it. Is it a good altcoin?

I haven’t had any interest at this coin yet. Maybe when I will get more free time I will see what Burstcoin is about really. For now there are a lot of coins in which it is possible to invest with almost the same result.

I like your answers rico666. I started to look after the burst community since last summer and didn't buy no one burst coin. I've watched a funny movies from rico666 and his hate to other people:)
I've read the dymaxion white paper. Do you have a reason to do your promises if you don't get users to your network? I see only miners and investors in your network but what is that without users?

Actually I cannot suggest it was a good or bad coin since I have not yet know what burstcoin is.
Through this I suggest that you should consider the feedbacks of the previous investors serve as a guide.

I heard that Burstcoin is both cryptographic money and a payment system. At the heart of which lies the blockade technology. It is also called a flash or an explosive coin.

in December 2017, he earned well on it due to the overall growth. Yes, a great coin. Someone called it really decentralization in the world of crypto-currencies. The original purpose of Satoshi, but only converted to storage. I believe that such ideas should also be seen to carry the opportunity to earn money, and to understand decentralization

Holy Sh!t - reading through this bizarre heap of malformed English with little sense to plain out wrong statements, one thing comes to ones mind:

Cloaca Maxima

Burst needs a proper dev team. it currently has a real co-ordination problem. there is no ceo leading it, its a jumbled mess. Stay away from burst for now folks, and pray that the dev team gets its shit together so we can have a green, fair crypto currency.

nicwenzel, by the time you wrote this shit the PoCC was already active for 6 months in Burst, there was already https://dymaxion.burst.cryptoguru.org/The-Burst-Dymaxion-1.00.pdf white paper.

Nowadays we have a meme for "you people": https://i.imgflip.com/2cshku.jpg

Guys! We need system like masternodes with rewards!

*facepalm*

Seriously?

Quote
We are about 400,000 times more energy efficient than Bitcoin (more give than take) – while offering same or better security (BURST 192bit vs. BTC 128bit), better scalability and better decentralization.

Quote
With the current price, the cost for one ordinary transaction can go as low as US$0.002 and the cost for a multi-out same transaction can go as low as US$0.0000014. This is micro transaction Sparta!

This is important to know: We do have 80 tx/s on-chain, but – given community consensus – we could easily do 1000 tx/s too. “Easily” as in “next day on TestNet” and “within a week on MainNet”. There simply is no need for this at the moment, but we do have that option.

It is at the same time cryptographic money and payment service provider which cornerstone the blockchain technology is. If to consider precipitancy of development of the cryptosphere, then it is impossible to call this coin especially "young". It appeared at the end of summer of 2014. Start was preceded premayn, by the IPO.

The currency is forky NXT as the source code of this crypt is its cornerstone, however you should not have spoken about it if it had no fundamental difference from the predecessor. And such difference is. In BurstCoin for the first time in the history of cryptoprojects the new mayningovy algorithm Proof of Capaciti (PoC or the proof of capacity) is used.

You are wrong. Burst has NO premine, presale or ICO. It has one of the most transparent distributions in all cryptocurrencies through PoC hard drive mining.

In its present form, Burst's source code has no fundamental difference from NXT, but its codebase is cleaner and more optimized after the Proof of Capacity Consortium's code refactoring.

But wait for Burst version 2.2.0. Thats when it bursts away from NXT and starts becoming its own project with its own vision.

Yes? it is better to mine at HDD -low power. There are fewer problems with the scaling of the mining and configuration. But, indeed, some profit can be obtained only in the future.

My friend got into mining Burst back in August, but the network had so many problems that she eventually dropped out before investigating the other aspects of the network. With transaction speeds being rather slow and wallets unreliable, She figured why bother staying. Seemed like a good deal in the beginning, but just could not carry water in the end.

Burstcoin is the good coin but the development team has some problem inside , and it leads to the big dump on the price of Burst coin. So i think it's not worth for you to invest in Burst coin.

I wont agree but I will also not disagree with you. I insist we wait for the official announcement about the Dymaxion upgrade. According to one PoCC developer, its the biggest technological update to any cryptocurrency.

But I doubt that. So I call the attention of anyone who's interested to manage your expectations and keep them low. Dont buy Burst, its risky. I cant say that enough.

It is a good coin but it has been around for quite a while now and not really gone anywhere. i personally would not invest anything into burst because there are so many new and much better altcoins around nowadays. With the huge selection of alts that are available burst is probably average at best in comparison to the others. I don't see burst going x100 any time soon, do you?

I assume you havent heard about the new technical upgrade thats coming on December 27? The countdown has only 18 days left on it. Go to the site if you havent seen it yet.

What is the Dymaxion?

Having said that, keep your expectations low and try not to be tempted to buy Burst. Its risky.

yes , its good and innovative. Burst is mined by your harddrive space (the a greater amount you dispense to it those additional you will earn much more) As opposed to cpu/gpu. This makes it approachable for mining will alot additional individuals in view the vast majority kin need huge harddisk space that they dont require.

Yes, BURSTcoin is a good coin. Today.
The answer was a completely different one by the time the question was asked.
BURST will thrive - feel free to mark my words.

Hahaha, lol.

Isnt it always that nagging pain, when you watch your investment you made in just THAT promising coin,
while every other coin seems to pass by, and your investment looses in value?

And exactly that is what BURST is for, it makes you wanna ....burst.

Dont buy Burst. Its unpredictable and its risky. Every improvements and upgrades that the PoCC releases shouldnt be taken so highly and we should always keep your expectations low. They are not gods.

With that said, support it for the right reasons. Like Proof of Capacity. If Bram Cohen wants to start his own PoC coin then Burst must be doing something right.

Btw, how is Kim Schmitz doing? Shouldnt he be an eager and motivated investor in Burstcoin?

Or is he probably involved in Filecoin?

In fact, Filecoin had a much better marketing strategy.
They know there is a huge market, and obviously do deliver something, to make them very interested.

So, where is Burstcoin in between that?

Here is my Burst christmas story...for you all...I wish you a happy christmas time.

I finally ended up buying burst at its highest rate of 90 satoshis.
I switched from GRC after years as that currency wasnt really what I sought.
The BOINC team isn't really embracing them and BOINC does the job really well.
So, there is NO real currency for DOING PoW and sciences sake.
GRC is a little blender here.
And EMC2 is just a founding platform beside those revenues which end up in their own pockets...
Maybe FoldingCoin is still, but I doubt it, as this would be immense work to implement such a system like BOINC
reaching out far more than inventing a cryptocurrency.

So I thought, the best would be green mining.
I am happy and eager cheering my coming years and see what Burstcoin is going to become.
...
Yes, you always mind that slogan "nomen est omen"...thats some roman wise arsing, isnt it?
...
Damn I should not have taken BURST literally.
...
How about BREEZE? Or MIST? Or Suction?
...
It is snowing...wonderful.
2017 was a damn fine year to become involved...entangled.
Now I really need you Santa Clause. Help.

Believe me, it is just numbers. Save your money and buy Filecoin or Stellar.
Or would you every trust a Cryptocurrency having nothing better to offer than a "beautiful" wallet? Cheesy

How about a fast and reliable ànd secure client? Fit to the dip.
Or how about I could change my Burst client to a neat pinky wallet for just 10 Bursts?

It depends on their company's core team. Today there's a lot of projects that has nothing to do with the community. I notice some ICOs that spends resources to advertise their projects in multi media and paid articles through news.bitcoin.com.
If they're not giving more budget for advertising then probably that ICO will be vanish soon.

Isnt it always that nagging pain, when you watch your investment you made in just THAT promising coin,
while every other coin seems to pass by, and your investment looses in value?

And exactly that is what BURST is for, it makes you wanna ....burst.

The only thing it is really good at is burning up the few money you had for investing in it.
But why is that?

Isnt this a HUGE and promising idea, using disk space instead of cycles?
Hey, that is green, or isnt it?

Yes, sure it is...but also it isnt.
Disk space is...it is permanent memory. In contrast to RAM, which is non permanent.
The idea to write through terrabytes of sectors in order to have a certain calibration
regarding the amount of any chance to mine a coin, is devasting.
Because it's useless. It is even more useless than wasting cycles for PoW.

But of course there is a market, all the Cloud Space hosters, offering Petabytes of Space.
They are the ones now crying for such a "green" solution.
Of course, as you might have guessed. Why arsing on unallocated disk space forever?
And that is what Filecoin will deliver. It was backed with $250.000.000!! Backed.

Burst is a hobbyist attempt, far from what ever defined Bitcoin.
Ridiculously the "guy" behind this coin tries to cover his real image, like Satoshisan did.
But it's a plague.

Load up the client and take a look for yourself...
They are so into that smart contracts stuff, they packed everything they could think off in this client.
Even a marketplace! Lol.

But what legal dimension this is going to arouse, they havent got a clue.
The transfer of physical stuff chained to and within a Cryptocurrency wallet?? wtf?

The Asset management seems somewhat okay, the rest is neglectable.
And all features would make sense, and ONLY then, if BURST would have a certain market value.
Honestly, it is below 1 cent.

But you can already pay, for an alias. Isnt that cute?
Cute is also the site, the web presence of BURST in this kind of "pro-styled" manner. Lol.
Did you look at the pictures. So bland and sterile.
Web Construction Kit 2.0 for the Greedy.

Easy to mine and widely distributed now, though fluctuations on prices are very high. Very overrated alt in my opinion but we don't know if it will be more successful in the upcoming years.
no one can say if a coin will be supported unless real uses can be offer by the dev team and for sure the value will go up and will keep
rising as mention that the mining is really can be done easily so if the value went up miners can easily dumped their coins and it will
fall instantly,.

Here is the official website of Burstcoin : https://www.burst-team.us/ and here is the exchange : https://poloniex.com/exchange#btc_burst
With good volume and stable price maybe a good coin to trade with, however I haven't heard this coin till now.

Thing with BURST is it's been around for a bit (over 2 years)... but it was created and original dev didn't do much with it.  Current dev team pick it up about 1.5 years ago and has done a lot .... except marketing.  Significant marketing has only really started the last 2 - 3 months.

So, imo the thing with BURST you know it's established  (It's not some new scam) but it's also "new" to a lot because the marketing just wasn't there.  Which is why I personally saw it as tremendously undervalued.

Good point you have here
i think Burst will soon have its moment to trend
actually traders started noticing it i guess
i will definitely get myself some burst

All of the low value coins i guess will still be a dead coin that will pump and then become dump so i guess there will be no future or no progress in this coins in the coming years and will just circulate in dumping and pumping of the coins so maybe i recommend try some other coins.

Can you explain burstcoin's  advantages

BURST has many advantages.  What initially stands out to most is the low power, eco friendly, green, HDD mining.  If you have free space, even on a cell phone you can mine BURST.

It also has an asset exchange where you can reinvest your BURST and make dividends.

The community support is great and growing.  If you look at simple stats like wallets being open and the size of the network/miners... you can see the community is really growing.  Check out burstnation.com and burst-team.us to get an idea on the community.

BURST has a very strong and dedicated dev team.  That have been with the project a while know (1.5 yrs approx) and have substantial personal investment in BURST... so they are motivated to make the coin go.

BURST also wasn't premined, there was no ICO it has grown naturally... it's a "people's coin" if you will.

Someone else mentioned supply.  Yes there are 1.7 billion coins presently but it's hard capped at 2.1 billion.  It's a fallacy to think because there's a large supply the coin can't grow.  There are coins in the billions in regard to supply in the top 10 of cryptos right now.  I also think the asset exchange helps this as a lot people are investing their BURST and not dumping it on the exchanges.

Those are just some of the highlights .... things such as smart contracts, a marketplace, cross chain transfers and more are also a part of BURST's future.

I trade it a little short term, but most definitely holding a chunk long term.  My short time with BURST I'm up 6x on my money... and I get the feeling things are just getting started!

Thanks for sharing those advantages dude
i just missed the last pump of this coin from 24 to 200+
now im really hoping to catch some cheap burst and keep them for long term trade

If I knew about Burst I would have invested in some HDD. I am plotting my first drive and it will be done by tomorrow. Will see how it goes. The experience in itself to mine with a HDD would be fun to watch.

It has certainly seen a huge pump lately, I also feel this have potential to go more up.
Lets see how it copes up if the ongoing bitcoin/altcoin bubble explodes, but it is definitely worth an investment when the price settles.

That's true, and I am also monitoring this coin as I have also in my hold. Price is not stable yet and  short trade maybe favorable at this time. But, for sure it may  increased value in time. Lets wait in the coming days for updates.
As I am fond of investing money in altcoin, I am carefully monitoring few altcoins including burstcoin. Some people are suggesting me to go investing with it as it has potentials. But like you have mentioned I am not find it would be good to trade this coin as too much of fluctuations.

stay away from pumped coin. I dont think that burst coin is good. Whales only pump it to make money and profit. Stay away or you will lose your money. Look at the chart and yoyu will see how awful can this coin be

lol all coin are pumped, all investors are here for pump and dump to make cash, they don't care about anything else, burst is a good coin because it's unique in its genre, give you the possibility to have a pow phase woth almost no energy needed, like a pos that work like pow, this is good for distribution unlike pure pos

How can you loose money if it's 6x the price BURST was week ago? Or if you are minig than it's probably 100x.

Just be carefull and don't buy on the top.

I definitely disagree with that.  I'd say look at more than a chart when evaluating BURST (look at the community, strength of devs, unique technology, etc).  And although BURST has shot up quite a bit the last few days... it also had been on a very steady rise over months.

with burst it is not only about the general pumping which happens to altcoins. Perhaps not many of you know but this coin is tied with a specific casino supporting it. Its name is BTCDragon. I know it because I once worked for their sig campaign. So, I'd say burst is thus more dependent. If one is to deal with burst, I think it is useful to look at how the casino is doing and keep in mind that perhaps it's pumping the price.

Yeah but if can invest in a good mining hardware that can really give you a really good profit monthly buying burtcoin is a good investment not all altcoins have a potential to become successful like bitcoin but we can see that burstcoin is one of the coin that can be successful someday.

Hope you are right, I am seeing the value of burtcoin rising 35% on the coinmarket and still tend to continue rising. But in my opinion the trading at this time is not good because the price of bitcoin is very unstable and that affects the altcoin, perhaps burtcoin is being pumped very strongly during this time but it could be a bubble phenomenon, will quickly collapse if Bitcoin rise again. We need to find some more information and observe the market for some time to make a decision, do not rush in this time

It's first time which I listen about this kind of algorithm which uses this coin in order to mine but currently the hard disk space is cheap so maybe I will give it a try. On the other side I don't know because I just looked only for a few minutes the white paper if the available size of HD increases the probability to find blocks, because I saw a video in youtube where someone had used a cluster of HDs with about 50Tbs of capacity.

The more HDD space the better but there are pools geared toward smaller miners, even people mining with free space on their cell phone.

Burstcoin was good in my point or view for now because of reading the quoted post post but I don't trust it yet. Right now I got a lot of free space on my hdd which can be used in mining according to the quoted post. This coin I think would not be a big coin valuing more than a hundred thousand satoshi but it will be a pump dump coin I think whick will be great for day trading later on but before I really get involved with this and waste my time I will research more. I will also monitor it for now.

I've recently heard about Burstcoin. It looks like a really great coin, especially since they make it easy for the not-so-good hardware people. Uses your HD space to mine which I think is awesome.
I want your guys opinions on it. Is it a good altcoin?

It's one of the coin I supported they are a steady coin and a work in progress they have an excellent community but mining now is quite difficulty it's much better to buy shares from members who sells shares of their Burst project some of them are pools it's good that you have found this coin.

Yes they are a good coin to hold, they have a good potential in the market in the future but I read that you need at least 10 tb to mine a good amount, one guy posted that he only got 40 burstcoin from his 4 tb so mining is not a good option to acquire Burstcoin.
Not true, I got about 3500 BURST with 4.5TB for like a month mining (and first week it was only 2TB). Check the calculator http://burstcoin.biz/calculator (it's not 100% accurate cause the process is pretty much random).

Can you give some more info about asset exchange? Any links that explains it?

I've started mining it not too long ago and also think this coin is undervalued, with a lot potential.

I think this too, this coin is THE coin for the people! And the more people start Burstmining or/and trade/invest, the better is it for a nice green world and folks!

I really like BURST for a variety of reasons already explained by other sin this thread. I also love the ASSET EXCHANGE PLATFORM which makes it very cheap and easy to grow your own asset without having to spend an arm and a leg. It's also good for buying and investing in other assets.
Burst has an awesome community as well and two great forums to get more information daily on BURST.

Which is why I personally saw it as tremendously under valued.
Don't forget the Burst wallet bitcointalk thread, It's somewhere but I don't know where on here. Can't seem to find it but here is the user: burstcoin

This will actually be the first time I will be hearing of this coin though, but will appreciate a link to the announcement thread if there is any in other to understand the fundamentals about the coin. Its not enough to just take the review you have there and make a decision based on that. It could have potentials though.
