Speed of the HDD is an issue? Or do you mean "halving speed" if I had a RAID1 and thus half the capacity?
Therefore => RAID0.
Ok. Thx for the clarification.
So it has 7200000 nonces and started at nonce 0. Next file should start at nonce 7200001 ?
Almost right, you add the last 2 numbers together to get the new starting nonce = 7200000+400000+1 = 7600001 would be your next nonce
Are you sure? 400000 is the staggersize, the Starting nonce was 0 and I did 7200000 nonces.
Why should the starting nonce be 7600001? I think I would be missing 7200000 - 7600000 nonces.
BTW - next question - does that matter? Having "holes" in the nonces of the plots? Or put it another way: what are consequences of this?
Apologies again, that would be for another hard-drive, you're correct the next nonce would be 7200001 then. Holes in the nonce plots don't matter at all. No disadvantage. This describes it best: https://www.burstnation.com/wbb/index.php?thread/2504-nonces-are-frustrating-me/&postID=37943#post37943
