Has anyone emailed Google and Yahoo already to have Btc exchange rates listed in their Finance sections?

Curious on this, if anyone gets a response, please let us know so I can buy every bitcoin possible Smiley

(I have been surprised how many still answer that they don't know what it is...) Cheesy

It is an easy excuse.

Every few months I get called by a sales rep from an e-commerce service that I'm a long-time customer with.  When I am asked if I have any questions or if they can do anything to better serve me I ask about being able to pay with bitcoin (or even Dwolla).  Recently was the third time I've asked the exact same person and the response was no different from the first instance ... "Oh?  What's is it?   No, I'm not familiar with bitcoin.  I'll enter that request in your file though."

And yet every order I place, I have to go through PayPal once again.

Having WordPress onboard now though is huge.

Also, as Square lands a few more bricks and mortar businesses to use their iPad tablet app, each of those businesses the are already equipped to accept bitcoin using either a payment processor or just an EWallet like Blockchain.info/wallet.

I don't see that in many places yet though ... merchants still like their old aging cash register / point of sale terminals and card swipe machines.  But these will get swapped out eventually so putting the bug in their ear that you'ld like for them to start accepting Bitcoin payment definitely won't hurt.

I bought something from arctic cooling recentley, getting to pay took ~2 days and 2days from that they found the order paid. Needless to say they recieved a polite feedback detailing how bitcoin would make life better for everyone and even give them a slightly larger profit margin.

(This has been proposed and done here before. I just can't find the thread.)

Instead of pleading and wasting our time with stuck up entities like Wikipedia, let's all simply email every entity to which we send money in any form with a simple question, “Do you accept payments in Bitcoin?” ...Or whatever question you think gets your point across.

Don't bother arguing, or explaining B and its benefits to them, and the how's and why's of it. Don't follow up, even if they don't answer! They are business people, and can figure all of that out themselves.

Just put it on their agenda to answer, and move on.
