How about "Stab Idiots In The Face Over The Interwebs" technology? Can you work on that? Note, I'm not implying that YOU are an idiot, just saying there are a lot of idiots out there in the wild that desperately need a face-stabbing.

Sorry, what is face-stabbing?

I think long ago I saw a windows-game, where Bill Gates' face appeared in random places, and player had to throw a cake into it via mouse click. Are you talking about this kind of game?

Um, no. Definitely not a game. Never mind.

I tried to buy a vps on linode, and setup a website using mtgox's websocket api to get the real time trading information.

I sold the access right to this website at 0.1BTC price, and have three customers already Smiley

I forget to mention this... but why don't you just do normal web dev work and charge in BTC instead of fiat currency.

I've met quite a few web developers who are willing to do some projects for BTC instead of fiat currency.

I think I can do web development for BTC. But it is boring and not much difference with normal freelancing. I agree that need to make something creative. It is important to be the first who does it. I think bitcoin allows it, just need to come up with an idea Smiley

There's plenty of business oppturnities in bitcoin right now since its still in its infancy stages for the most part.

The key is being CREATIVE though and trying to create/think of something that's unique that people could and would want to use.

Asking on here for idea's probably won't yield you much results because if it's a good idea someone else is gonna be doing instead of telling other people to do it Smiley

Like someone else said, it depends how good your skills are.  If its an idea thats not all that creative, then it just comes down to skill an execution.

I think Bitcoin is the whole new technology that enables many new use cases that haven't been exploited yet. So I assume there should be some idea that could be implemented really quickly, but potentially as profitable as the milliondollarhomepage.com is. I can do some php, python, ruby,  javascript, as3 scripting. We could brainstorm something Smiley

As far as I know, it really depends on the amount of things you can do as a web developer Smiley. You'll need to be able to do some things better than others to be able to get any small project online.

I can do web development. I could invest some of my time to make a small bitcoin project. Is there any business idea for a weekend project that would be profitable?

In my experience, those are 3 very different things. What exactly are you looking for?
