A Better alternative to Virwox with a lesser high fees would be localbitcoins .
However since paypal and bitcoin don't go well side by side, traders will ask you to send an ID document, and they usually set some sort of terms which will not allow you to charge back .
If you have paypal, you will certainly have a bank account. So a better option would be to go for an exchange like Circle and link your bank account to that. You won't be paying a higher fees and will be more convenient.
if you don't want to pay high fees, the only option is here on bitcointalk, but use escrow, or deal with a very trusted member
