Do you really think that the price will not fall?
Temporarily, maybe, but the trend is upward.  Big time.  Thus buying the dips is a pretty good idea, no?  Look where we're at right now, almost $2800.  Look where we started the day, which was $25XX.  If I recall correctly.  So yeah, I'll be buying when I get money.

the problem is people think of any price correction as a "fall" or "dump". of course price goes down, but the only thing that you need to pay attention to is why did the price went down and by how much.

for example when price goes up from $1250 to $2700 every newbie knows that is a fast rise. but what they don't know is the fact that this fast rise needs to stop, corrects and then continues rising. and that can be seen from the drop to $1900-$2000 after the first rise.

and this are not the only case. the bitcoin chart is full of them. each time there is a price rise, then a FOMO leading to a big rise, then a fall when they panic sell and then rise even more.

Has anyone bought from the Dips? Because I did and it's slowly rising up again in the trend. Hopefully, in a few months, it would reach another all-time high. I'm just concerned what would happen after the BIP148 fork in the network, who will side with who, something like that.

Yes. I agree.

I stuffed up though. I still want to kill myself for selling at a price correction. I practically lost  $US 500.

Don't make my mistake. Buy at such price dips and hold at times like now.

Actually if we look better at order books , graphs , this moment is the best point in which new investors can come in. Resistance level is right here , with tons of BTC to be sold to go lower , which looks difficult to be possible.
this 2000 point is the new 1000 which we saw in the first months. Summer's end will bring investors lots of profit , I think.

Don't forget , this is just my opinion.

A friendly reminder to you all to buy in the dips.

I agree, but the hard part is knowing when in the dip to buy. You want to maximize the amount you buy so making a purchase as low as possible is the best. You don't want to buy too high.
I think it all depends on the market price, if you want to maximize the amount you buy so as to get the purchase price with as low as low as possible is the best way or maybe you don't want to buy with prices too high so better look at price ups and downs of your new first buy it

Well better late than never, who knows where the prices will be heading next? It could be. Double if wgat you're buying today bet week. So for me I have no problems with the current price if I was to buy and hold Bitcoin for the first time.

Don't have to tell me twice.
Definitely looking like a comfy position to go long in, I just hope that this isn't setting up for a bull trap followed by a regression to them mean. I'm going to give it a little while but if there are serious and real gains with real support then I will enjoy throwing up a long order and watching the investment accumulate in value.

No buying for this period. Bitcoin will drop 1 more time in this month and that time will be suitable for us to collect as many bitcoin as we can. And then, bitcoin will return to its path and go up to the moon

i would never say the same thing with the certainty you are saying it, but i kinda agree with it. it is still possible to see another dip before the big rise but it is also possible to see a big rise without any further dips. although it can all change with some news!

Do you really think that the price will not fall?
It will but not for long. If you want to short, you're welcome to try. If you're in for a long, it doesn't matter when you buys. The price will double after Segwit activation. We'll probably have over 3k in the next 12 months and over 5k in 2 years. Whether you buy in a dip or not is irrelevant.

Segwit or any other path which gets finally decided upon, isnt gonna do squat for the price. Maybe, temporarily but thats all.
Most traders dont even understand whats going on in the bitcoin ecosystem.

Segwit + LN = centralization of BTC ... ultimately it undermines some of the things BTC stands for, it will soon become a means of control, forget about freedom on the blockchain.

Yes, I do that most of the time. Buying at various points when the price is decreasing and selling at various points when the price is increasing that's what I do in stocks but since I have accumulated bitcoins for the long term, I don't plan to sell even in the case of higher levels. I can see that, there is a golden opportunity for those who wants to get in bitcoin at entry good levels.

Thank god the dips are not to far.

Yeah , the currently dip is better for those who want buy and also the prices in my country is dropped to about 428$ that is really shocking .
But there was also shocking that price increases to 700$+ in one day  , and after that everyone was thinking to have Bitcoin to go down price and buy , So now guys it is better time to buy for those who want make money with the hold of Bitcoin for long term .
Here I already bought 0.09btc today again and really excited that soon I will make earnings into double Smiley
With this , here I will suggest to everyone who want to increase his profit more and more , that after buy the altcoin invest in the stable altcoin like eth dash or dgb  etc , because investment in such types of coins will increase the amount of the Bitcoin that you have , I mean totally increase in the money than what you have .

There is no assurance in Segwit acrivation as everything is just a plan. However, I would like to agree that it's better to buy now before segwit as there is still a chance for segwit activation which would boost the market dramatically.

A friendly reminder to you all to buy in the dips.

I agree. For those who are waiting for the price to dip so that they can buy again, now is the perfect time. I always saw members here complaining about the price is too high to buy and will wait for a dip. So here it is, what are you waiting for?

The dip was very great that we cannot consider it as a dip but a drown. The price drop was great and in our local exchange the price of btc went up as high as 3600 $ last night only to fall down to 2200 $ this morning. A big drop could not be considered a dip but already a splash or a drown, but anyway it is the best time to buy more bitcoins since we can expect that bitcoin will fly again.

Agreed this is a once in a lifetime chance to buy lots of it while still low people complaining that it's to high now would be the right time
If you didn't or dont want to buy it there it's your choice but dont blame others if it reaches $500000 in the next few couple of years then you'll say to yourself, i should have bought bitcoin when still have a chance.

Difficult part will be to figure out how low the dips can go. So far if the fallout hasn't happened yet then it doesn't resemble any past trends w/regards to length of time in between swings. Will be an interesting ride forward.

A friendly reminder to you all to buy in the dips.

Thank you for the advice and please don't forget that by the time all of us should buy into the dip as you suggested, then the price will be forced back up that might even be higher than the initial position we were earlier having in mind the forces of demand and supply which what I believe bitcoin relies upon.

You know it's a common thing to do to buy at dips especially if we are seeing that bitcoin price is expected to make another more price increase up to the point that we didn't imagined that is reachable based on the majority of speculations. The $1,000 weeks ago is a high price for us but now it's totally a cheap price and it will be the same with $2,000 and so on.

I don't easily believe in speculations but this kind of speculation of price increase have reasons to believe.

I agree. The price increase of Bitcoin has reasons backing it up. Good news which foster a global acceptance with one country after another that results to the increase in demand as well as the users and the price. The dips happening now would be big enough for people to buy what they can and be ready for the next pump which is much higher than it was and many can join in now because many of them missed out and sell right away not expecting that the prediction of $2000 would greatly exceed from it.

It is a dip alright from a sudden increase today to 2750$ it got down quickly as far as 2350$ which is a 400$ difference. But the question is if it is the lowest part of the dip?  Because as of right now Bitcoin is approaching 2500$ in which it is priced at 2485$ to be exact. Well basing it on experience price action this quickly often has several days of correction before it gets normal again.

Why wait for the lowest part of the dip? There is no way we can tell when will be the lowest dipping point that will happened. If by any certain chances that you think that the dip is a good time to buy coins based on your analysis then just do the buying and wait for what will happened.

Waiting too much for a target sometimes is not the always thing to happened. Face the risk as it was worth to gamble to buy with any price if we really think that bitcoin will give us more spectacular show of price increase in the future.
Honestly I am skeptical about this and others also that's why I suggest to do both. I sell half if I'm kind of optimistic about the price together with others in the community and buy half when I'm not sure if the price would rise or dip. As for me, I really am waiting for the price would undergo correction as they say and spend my fiats I have to buy Bitcoin because I am sure that it would rise again and surely it is much higher than it was today so you can say that in this instance I will buy Bitcoin not in half anymore.

Yes it is a friendly reminder for not-so-new bitcoin user and a helpful guide for beginners.

For the sake of the beginners or newbie in the world of bitcoin, dip is a term that is used when the price of bitcoin drops with a high difference maybe more that 200 USD. And for those who cannot afford to buy bitcoin with fiat and have some btc in possession, sell your btc at a high price and when it dips, buy them again  Wink

Hello everyone!

Looks like there's a new resistance point at 2350-2400 , so anything close to this price is just the best to buy.

Remember , this is just another little correction in the long term , because the aim remains the same !

Weak hands are just leaving , but the real traders are just incoming !

I bought some coins at $2300. Smiley

I sold my coins at $2600 but I failed to buy back during the dip, I thought it will dip lower but well I guess I am wrong.

My wages are not coming in until a few days time so I cannot buy anything now. End of the month is always a tight time for us so we will see what happens at the end of this month on my pay day. I would like to purchase some Bitcoin every month if I can.
It's good to buy bitcoins every month even if it's a small amount, i keep buying bitcoins in small amounts every month.

I agree, small fraction when collected will become huge too.  So I guess it is best to buy fraction of bitcoin as you said, every month.
