Omisego will have used the plasma technology by the ethereum foundation combined with the developers of lightning network. They were trying to make a solution for the scalability. It is very good idea in my opinion. ethereum will be used pos in the future.

OMG is constantly on the rise indeed. I think the people behind this coin are the ones giving much trust to this coin that resulted in the accumulation of much value. It is already a number of days that OmiseGo is pumping. Right now, this early, it is already increasing 20 plus percent.

Skimming over their website I'm guessing you'll be able to send fiat to the wallet and trade for any crypto, using the ethereum blockchain? Is this similar to waves? Will they have some sort of debit card? There is still the hurdle of getting verified to send money to an exchange. This is the hardest part of buying bitcoin right now, waiting weeks to get your kyc verification, when someone can solve this it will make things so much easier and bitcoin and alts will soar.

I disagree. The Transactions on the Blockchain will be verified by OMG holders via PoS. This gives this Token Value.
You are right, the company Omise was running well before. The founded the child company OmiseGo to develop a Mobile Wallet which serves the purpose to pay with fiat and crypto, without the need of a bank account.
Because of that a system on a blockchain is a very smart solution.
This could possibly be the first "killer application" on Ethereum and could maybe reach Mainstream.

And there is absolutely no use for the Tokens. Everything works without them.
