Actually we don't know when the price increase or decrease. But as of now athe price of bitcoin is very high and its already 6100 dollars plus and anytime they have possibility the price will decrease. Many people for sure are undecided because of the upcoming fork in the month of november. But if you have extra money invest in bitcoin but you can afford to lose only. Because we dont know what actual happen.

Selling some i think isn't bad idea. With reason, as a provision to do buy back when bitcoin weakened. For me, that meets cost of living and others by relying on bitcoin. So, every month always sells half bitcoin from profits trading.
You can make more bitcoin that way but not everyone can do that, I know that I suck at trading that is why I do not even try, I prefer to hold all my bitcoin and not spend any, I’m only going to sell when I hit my target price, and my target is quite high so I know I will have to hold for years.

I am  invested not alot in bitcoin. However, that's how i make money from bitcoin. At first, I just keep increasing amount of bitcoin and never sell it. And when bitcoin i hold is above 5btc, then i start doing what i post above. One day, you can earn more than me. I believe everyone will experience prosperity also difficulties (which i have passed).

I'm just waiting and wont to anything. I hold my coins. After the fork, i will buy some altcoins Smiley
If you do that you are going to miss the second fork, segwit2x is a lot bigger in my opinion than bitcoin gold, so I will hold until after the segiwt2x fork and then I will decide what to do with my bitcoin, selling may be a good idea, but I like bitcoin too much to get completely out of it.

agree, just hodl. Bitcoin will go up, it will correct some and then go up some more. don't get caught up in the fud or panic buy when you can and hodl long term.

That's a sure thing the price is going to rise, but the rate at which rise depends on if the Chinese guys do not bring in one wicked policy that would make the price drop badly like it did sometime ago.

We're close to the days of holding with patience. As the fork is getting nearby we'll experience some panic situations with price fluctuations happening in large scale. User tends to buy or sell by this instance, but it's good to hold and benefit big soon after the fork or before the year end.

I agree. Before the fork the price of bitcoin will reach the maximum of 7000$.It's the upcoming peak Which will achieve by bitcoin. But if you want more profit means, hold the bitcoin till October 31.If not so,just sell it now. I think 6000$ is not a small value and all.I think, all of us know the price was only 3100$ a month ago. So as Compared to 3100 or 4000$,6000$ is far better I think. So if you need dollar now.Just sell it now.

I'm forced to ask this based on the current trend in the bitcoin market. Now I want to know which of the following you'd do as a trader who's following the trend in the market
Don't try to panic, you have to keep on buying if you are believing that the price of bitcoin will be soon reaching $10,000 or even higher. And you just have to sell if there's a need for you to have some extra cash or you want to diversify your bitcoin into some alt coins. When you sell, you need a reason for it. Don't just sell because you feel that you want to, I'm trying to avoid this type of feeling because long term holding and buying is the best thing to do every time with bitcoin.

Just keep on hodling there's nothing wrong to happen if you'll just be patient and wait for the price of bitcoin to get up and keep on buying. But if you are good with the current value of bitcoin at $5,800 then you are free to sell and if you are not that greedy enough you can sell now.

Right now I will do nothing, I do not have the money to buy, but selling does not seem appealing to me, bitcoin still has room to grow especially if we consider the fact that after the bitcoin gold fork we have another fork, so to me the only thing I can do is to hold my bitcoin.

Yeah I also still be patient not to sell bitcoin yesterday when it costs $6k+, I want to see what happens after the fork. I'm gambling on my own choice, because I'm sure after a fork and near the end of the year bitcoin prices will definitely increase higher than before.

Before 25 Oct , it's better to sell some of your bits if you've purchase 1 week before !
But if you decide to buy or not, I think you must wait 1 week after 25 Oct because bitcoin will start dump after BTG forking

I'm forced to ask this based on the current trend in the bitcoin market. Now I want to know which of the following you'd do as a trader who's following the trend in the market

As a trader, I think I should not buy bitcoin at this point, because its value is not stable, it's at a premium, the difference in value can be short Make quick profits. However, it can also be a knife that can cause you to bleed if you catch the wrong time.

Well the current price now is quite expensive so I prefer more to sell some of my coins so I can take profit now. Selling now doesn't mean losing because the price of bitcoin breaks its barrier and it's more likely taking a profit. Just buy again when it will have some correction after the hard fork.

As of now I don't have yet bitcoin in my wallet but if I were to choose whether to sell or buy, maybe I don't need to sell if it I don't need cash and I don't even buy if i see it's in a high price. I will keep bitcoin in my wallet and wait for it's growth before to decide it's either to sell or buy.

Price is low today in compare to yesterday so its the best time to buy bitcoins and hold the existing ones without selling them at a moment as price can go much higher in next few months and if you have a feeling that price will fall after the fork then better to wait and see what happens in next few days.

Well if you think selling your bitcoin now will give u more profit then do it and then buy again when the price goes down since there is an expectation that the price of bitcoin will drop down before the fork and for sure after few days it will rise again.

Nobody can accurately guess how the price of bitcoin will move. Maybe now a tough correction has begun. Or maybe tomorrow the price will soar to 7000 dollars. Therefore, each trader must decide when to sell coins, and when to buy

I'm forced to ask this based on the current trend in the bitcoin market. Now I want to know which of the following you'd do as a trader who's following the trend in the market

As for me, I do both. I make sure I divide my risks all the time because I do not want to be left with absolutely nothing. That is the key to trading. Nonetheless, there are people who are aggressive and does only either buying or selling. This enables them to earn twice as much as I do in terms of getting your investments back BUT the risks are higher. You just have to pick your poison.
In my opinion taking risks of buying or selling of bitcoin and altcoins are given us an opportunity to learn on how we handle our crypto currencies. Moreover it is a good training to us to monitor the flow or fluctuation of all crypto in the market. Definitely it is the best thing we can do especially when we are joined in trading.

As a long term investor I will buy some coins after the fork as everyone is speculating that price can drop after that and today I sold around 0,5 btc as it was really good price for me to sell my coins to get the huge profits as even I am hoping to see downfall in the price after the fork so my plan is to buy some more coins at that stage.

In the past when price of bitcoins was below $5k people said they will sell their coins at $5k price but they didn't sell and waited for $6k price to sell their coins and now when we are above $6k price people are still not willing to sell as now they are expecting $7k price so that they can sell their coins and I am sure they will not sell their coins even if price hits $7k tomorrow.

How do you know that people didn't sell? As the price is going up higher and higher, you'll see that there is a decent bit of profit taking going on, but the demand is far stronger, which results in the market to bump back up. In order for the market to develop itself, people who bought their coins at levels far below what we experience currently, have to liquidate their profits. Don't forget that the majority of the people here are still very short term minded -- the sooner they exit the market, the less likely it becomes that they will form an obstacle at some point. If they realize that they did the wrong thing by selling, they'll buy back their coins with a massive premium.

well it depends if you need money now then you sell your bitcoin I'm sure you get big profit because of the price of bitcoin is now 6,000 but only if you bought cheap price. If you want to invest bitcoin for a long term maybe 2 years buy bitcoin then. I'm going to sell my bitcoin once the bitcoin hit the price that I want to sell.
There are two choices we must take. We can not just be quiet when we need money because selling bitcoin we have is the fastest way to earn money. For the rest then the power prefers to wait because I think the bitcoin price will be able to rise much higher. There is a very big prospect that can make the bitcoin price increase so amazingly. I want that momentum to happen and I will do my best to take advantage of it in order to gain enormous profits in the future. Opportunities that I can not leave because this can determine the future that I experienced.

Whether you bought the coin recently or earlier don't sell your coins till the upcoming fork. Price may bump and dump after but if you sell the coins which you then your amount will be move to traders hand and supply will be dumped and the bitcoin may be blocked in one place. We should not allow that to happen like what we do when the BCH splited. Hope you understand what I am saying.

I won't do anything unless I need money to use. Keep calm and just watch the rally of bitcoin and alt coins. I'm not going to buy and I'm not going to sell. I can't buy for now because I can't focus with purchasing some more bitcoin but by just holding it, it's more helpful to me because I'm going to do nothing but to keep on holding it.

I would definitely choose to sell some bitcoin now that the current price of bitcoin is high since I prefer to take profit every now and then. Bitcoin price is very unpredictable at the moment and by doing that, it will give me the option of buying more btc if ever price drops and vice versa. That way I can wait for the upcoming fork without worrying in the future price movements, I will just sell and buy whenever I like and whenever I see doing it as profitable.

I can’t bring myself to buy any more Bitcoins are these prices. I don’t think selling is necessarily a bad thing if you have made a good profit. However, I will not sell any yet because i’m trying to hold what I currently have as a long term investment. This maybe a time to HODL rather than buy or sell. I don’t think Bitcoin will fail at this point so the value is probably just going to keep going up.

It is difficult to say what to do, whether to buy or to sell because Bitcoin increased recently reaching an all time high. Maybe buying now isn't good since Bitcoin as at its peek. However, buying now might also a ticket to a foreseeable Bitcoin pump until the year ends. Or maybe Bitcoin will go down any minute due to the upcoming forks. It is difficult but if you plan to hold for a long time then buying now would be a good choice.

I won't buy now for sure as price is not at all affordable for me so I am planning to sell some coins as I am already making good profits as of now and if price falls in future then that won't miss an opportunity of buying at lower price as it can crash after the fork so I will sell some coins at the current price.

If you wanna to invest with a long term position, you need to wait for low prices on market.Market price is very volatile and volatility can cause sharp changes on price chart. Wait for bounce back and join to uptrend train.
If you want to invest for the long term, you can invest in Bitcoin even at current levels, so there is no need to wait for the market to go down again ~ the volatility shouldn't be a concern for those who are long term minded.

Another thing, waiting in the currently extremely bullish market might result in you to enter the market at $7000 instead of $6000 ~ this has been the case since the price touched the $2000 mark for the first time this year.

People were waiting for a correction, but it reached $3000. People again were waiting for a correction, but it reached $4000, and so on. It's clear that this market doesn't wait for anyone ~ enter now or enter at $7000 and up.

The price of bitcoin hits its all time high at $6K. I think it is possible that most will sell their bitcoin at this level and the price will drop soon. It is best to grab the opportunity again and buy once it hits the bottom price. We still have a few days before the upcoming fork, so, accumulating bitcoins now will surely be profitable. Let us not worry when bitcoin's price goes up and down, it is part of the system and the cycle of trading world. We just need to focus and reach our goal, then, hope for the best.

If the bitcoin price has reached the price I want I will soon sell it, this moment is very difficult I get, so I will take advantage of this moment as possible.

If you are ok with today price means, you can sell today. The price of bitcoin now is 5940$.It was 1940$ greater than a month value. If you not ok with the price means, just HOLD.You will get very huge profit soon.If you have a doubt means, just wait and sell the bitcoin after the month of October.

bitcoin is always been a good buy, if your going to track the chart from the beginning generally it increases exponentially not unless if you are a short trader there will always be a perfect timing for buying and selling, so for long term trade its always a good buy in my opinion. just my cents

I'm forced to ask this based on the current trend in the bitcoin market. Now I want to know which of the following you'd do as a trader who's following the trend in the market

i usually sell when the value of bitcoins or altcoins  goes high and buy when there a price drop (vice versa) but still it totally depends on you if you need cash for emergency or something important events like birthdays, wedding, and any other occasions then youd probably sell and withdrew some of your coins but if you have a spare cash and doesnt need that much money, then its better if you could just leave it there on your wallets or on online exchanges.

Price is around $5700 so I am planning to sell some of my bitcoins today as I have bought at very low price in the past and the current price is best for me to grab best profits as price can fall after the fork so its better not to wait till that time and sell some of them now and if price falls after the hard fork then can buy some more at lower price.
If like that you already have a good decision, the price may fall another month and I'm sure after a few weeks of hard fork the price will rise high, many say it will reach $10000 by the end of the year but I'm sure it will not happen. But selling bitcoin is now a good decision and you can buy it when it comes to dumps later and then at the end of the year you can earn even better profits.

If you wanna to invest with a long term position, you need to wait for low prices on market.Market price is very volatile and volatility can cause sharp changes on price chart. Wait for bounce back and join to uptrend train.

Buy or Sell it's all depend on our financial.
indeed right now it's a good time for us to buy Bitcoin, because we will get Bitcoin Gold in return when the chain split.
but,if you do not have much Bitcoin or capital.
i think it's not worth to buy it right now, because more likely you will buy it at the peak and will miss the crash in the next few days.
if you can Buy Bitcoin more than 1,i recommend you to buy it right now and hold it for Bitcoin gold,
but if you can not buy it more than 1 or just 1,
it would be better for you to sell it or buy some alts.

I will neither buy nor sell my bitcoins at a moment and will prefer to hold my existing coins and see how price behaves in coming days and if it crosses $6k mark then will sell some of my coins and enjoy the profits and if price goes below $5k after the fork then without thinking twice I will start buying as much as I can as price will increase once again at the end of the year.
Yes this is exactly what I am also thinking to do this month. I think price will dip a little bit after fork but it might recover really fast just like how bitcoin's price was recovered after august hard fork.

I am half in bitcoin and half in fiat (usdt).

I think it will be a tough choice because even now the bitcoin price is
very high but the high point of bitcoin is still unclear and a lot of news
is not known to know the bitcoin price will fall but the bitcoin price is
getting higher. I suggest you should sell some and part of it you save
if you want a safe middle ground but if bitcoin price goes up you do
not profit big. but if you believe and believe the bitcoin price will go
up again you should buy another bitcoin but with consequences if
the bitcoin price actually goes down then you will lose money.

if I look at some big markets like polo and bittrex.,. the volume of purchases is bigger than sales, somehow,, but I think now the price of bitcoin is very high whether what happens some big whales go in the purchase of big fortress bitcoin ,, maybe there is a reason they enter at this stage ,, if you want to follow the trend of buying market is one of the opportunities that must be followed in phase this until eventually they re-sell it at a certain period..
I also feel a little confused, big market data as you say, the purchase volume is greater than the sales volume. Many people buy, maybe they think there will be a bitcoin rising phase in the next month after the fork. I myself do not buy bitcoin at this time because I think after the next month fork bitcoin will drop up to a few percent, and if we wait bitcoin can be more expensive than now

a bit confusing,. if you do not think to make a purchase of bitcoin.,, a lot of news is circulating out there so we can get the gold coin crazily from the purchase of bitcoin at the moment,., and the good news that comes up is that bitcoin that will keep up will not pass through the fence $ 5k below,, but this is all your only decision that can be concluded...

Buy bitcoin before fork sell it just few days/hours before the snapshot block or you can take risk of holding those bitcoin till the snapshot block and sell it quickly before price will be dumped hard.

personally I will sell my bitcoin just before the snapshot date/block.

I would hold for now, especially after the fork. It's my contention that a lot of people will try to dump their Bitcoin gold for more Bitcoin which will drop the BTC gold evaluation and raise the Bitcoin value too. After that point, if it's necessary, you wouldn't be at a bad position to sell. Selling now might be a mistake depending on how much the price rises later.

Its still a nice time to buy especially since we are going to a new year and medias are updating news about bitcoin more exposure.
Well, I will grab the chance to buy and invest bitcoin for a long term. Even the price is expensive and if you dont take a risks investing and price will suddenly high you may regret later end. So I buy and hold btc because it may possibly will rise this year ends.
Yes I also apply it, right now I will hold it back until the end of the year, I believe there will be a correction ahead of the hard fork and towards the end of the year bitcoin prices will soar again.

It would be hard to determine which is a good way for now to do because there are people right now are falling to sell their bitcoin and wait for the drop before after the fork.. but there are people are also buying more bitcoin just to getting the advantage of getting free bitcoin gold..
So for me the half of your invest in bitcoin should be sell and the remaining bitcoin just to hold them until the fork is done and get your free bitcoin gold and sell after to get more profit because i feel that after the fork we will see a large fall ..

Buy and hodl. That pretty much explain my whole trading experience. Buy when the prices take a sudden dip and wait for it to be corrected. Sell when there is a big rally which cause the pricing boost from $500-1000 in a week or couple of days. Lastly, Hodl always hodl and be ready because we are really going to the moon!

Inorder to earn huge profits we should know what is the right time to sell and what is the right time to buy.The current price of Bitcoin is approximately between 5400-5500$ which is  very high price .So i dont think it will be a right time to buy.The people who are holding there bitcoin's from a long time can sell them because the price is good and they will get huge profits. If we want to buy some bitcoin's then we should wait for it's price to drop.According to me when the price will drop to 4000-4500$ then it will be right time to buy.

I would start collecting some btc at regular interval with each drop. Because I assume this drop is more of the panic selling as hard fork coming near. Somehow in coming days people will buy more accepting the bitcoin gold in return of bitcoin so in such scenarios prices will move upward and  good time to make some profits.

Its not about going up or down. Where were the FUDers when the price was riding the bull? Not then.. not a chance, let it go as high as possible, and after its overbought to its eyeballs, and when its about to correct anyway, these guys come out like mushrooms after rain, they like crawl under the rock they were hiding. All that just tells me that governments are heavily profiting from the price swings, and on top of all  they come out to say people should stay away coz of the volatility  of cryptocurrency.
First you hear from a banker , then an investor, then a government official, they from a president of some country, while media is covering it full time. If i didnt know better i would think they work together. The thing is they dont and they do. They dont because they dont really talk to each other to coordinate the moves, but they do, because they dont really need to because they know what its suppose to be done.
They buyers are the last to get in on the gag. Very strange to me. i dont like being played. If i wanted a goverment to control me ill buy crapruble or whatever it was called

In my opinion, if you are for long term investment, buying bitcoin is definitely worth it right now because the price is going down and in a few months after, the price of bitcoin will surely increase. If you are a short term trader, you should wait a little bit more for the price to go down and wait for the signs of the chart going up which will depend on the volume of trades and other studies on graphs being used for technical analysis.

After BTC fork is over there is gonna be a BTC dump, but not too big, and just when you think its over massive FUD will come from all sides to stir panic. Im thinking 4800 maybe. Thats seems to be the trend so far.

Aaand the massive organized FUD begins. CFTC to regulate ICO's. Russia to ban all mining after Cryptogarba.. i mean Cryptoruble is released. One after another.. More to come in the following days im sure. I said down to 4800, but not so sure any more

The price is falling now and I've got no plans of selling right now because I'm pretty sure that the price of bitcoin will be pumping anyway before the hard fork next week. And what I do now is to treat my bitcoin as long term holding and will just sell if there's a need but as of now I really don't have any plans of selling it. You can now take the chance of buying as the price seems to be falling again.

the answer is buy when the price is in dip and will selling when the price is increase. we need to know how much our money to buy bitcoin and we need to make a goal about how much we want to make profit. if the trends is down, then its a good time to wait until reach the bottom price so we can buy more but sometimes before reach the bottom, the price is bounce so quick fast before we missed the right time to buy. its happen too when we want to sell bitcoin, we need to analyze before we buy so we can maximize the profit.

You'll never get an objective answer from polls like this in a place like this.  Too many people in here have been investing in BTC since the beginning and have a vested interest in having people hold, or even buy, even if they honestly expect a downturn in the market coming up...  which several indications point toward being the case right now btw.

It can also depend on your situation...when you got in... what you bought in at.  Or if you made several big investments, what you bought in at each time.  Unless you got into things early on in the game and can afford to hold til the very end, I would suggest selling right now.  I expect a drop due to uncertainty over the hard fork, and several over reasons as well I don't have the time to get into right now, and have already several times anyhow.  I think the price will fall to at least around 4400-4700 when the smoke rises.  And depending on what happens in the next week it could be worse than that.

Buy and sell is not a sure thing. do the action buy and sell bitcoin in my opinion must be in accordance with the condition of bitcoin market conditions. because the ever-changing graph of the movement demands that we always play an active role in making the best decisions. if talking about today then I prefer to sell, I see hardfork will slightly disturb the bitcoin price. so it could be after hardfork bitcoin prices will decrease and this is a thing to be avoided. selling current at the $ 5500 price fare could be an option and maybe we can buy another bitcoin when the price drops below 5000 $.

Yup I agree that in making a move in buying and selling bitcoin think we should make a move with the accordance  with the condition of bitcoin and right now we didn't make a leap to the $ 6000 value, but I may be wrong because it is too early too speculate because we have plenty days to decide on what kind of action we will make before the hard fork occur.

As a trader, if you think that you have a good profit, then you can sell half of your stash and take profit. That's likely what would I do in today's current price. I still have the leverage with my other half. So it the price goes up, I still got profit, if is goes down by a margin, I will go buy and enter the market with the profit I got from my initial sell.

There is only one thing you need to know when it comes to bitcoin. Here's my motto:

ALWAYS BE BUYING

Price goes up some, buy!
Price goes down some, buy!
Price stabilizes for a bit, buy!

buy, buy, buy, buy, buy.

If you're always buying you'll have loads of bitcoin in a few years when it hits 6 digits. Then, and only then, you can sell and retire.

Do whathever you want, you are always going to win on trading if you know what you are really doing, maybe your insticts says that there is gonna be a dump, so sell now and then buy again with more profits.
But taking in consideration the current downsides and upsides of the trends on the altcoin market, i would not sell bitcoins right now, you are going to receive free bitcoingold on October 25th, and if you sell, you are so dumb, you could get that free money and sell after the fork.

It seems like people buying up BTC to get as much Bitcoin Gold from the upcoming fork is playing a huge part in the price increase.

it seems that is this, I still have not seen many exchange comment about BTG

sell, you sell now and buy when the price drops and sells when the price is high and buy when the price falls.

You will never know when high is high and when low is low. So you're always going to take some risk.

I've voted 'undecided': I'll neither sell nor buy for the time being with current prices and kinda watch from the sideline how things develop. Still don't have an unconditional faith for a bright future for Bitcoin/crypto so I'm making my moves in the cryptomarket very carefully. However, I might buy some if prices drop sufficiently after this peak (though said peak could be way further up)

If you have the money and the time then the answer is always to buy! In a few years BTC has the potential to be far higher than today, the only reason not to buy is if you are looking for profits in the next one or two months (or another short period), at that point the market fluctuates too much to be able to do anything with certainty

Now is moment for waiting, you can buy even now but I would wait. Wait for few days before segwit. Few days before segwit there will be a lot of panic selling and with that price will go down. In that moment it would be perfect time for buying, but now is ok too. After segwit price will rise even higher than it is now. I would call this time, time for buying.

I'm by no means a professional trader so take what I say with a grain of salt.

It seems like people buying up BTC to get as much Bitcoin Gold from the upcoming fork is playing a huge part in the price increase. We saw pretty much free money given from bitcoin cash, people are banking on that happening again. You'll see on the 25th after fork time is announced what BTC starts dropping to as the people speculating BTCG will be free money quickly cash out of their BTC.

I'm holding my BTC simply because I'm in it for my business & need to always have some, however i'm hoping to be able to cash out some before the 24th & buy back after the 25th as I'm anticipating a sizable drop.
