i bid 0.2 bitcoins
+ 0.2 bitcoins more if you leave up running at a namecheap hosting...
+ 0.2 if you leaved configured with ssl at some .com

basically you open an account at namecheap, configure it and we do a scrow at localbitcoins.

but if your are too busy to setup everything, i can only offer 0.2 btc at the moment,
i will have to call the help of one of my friends.
Not really a valid bid, minimum bid was $100, 0.2BTC is only ~$30 right now.

BuyBIT was originally designed to ease the process of registering a domain using Namecoin. It allows for the a to register a domain using either Namecoins or Bitcoins, and then is able to specify either two nameservers, or an IP address for an A record.
Due to lack of use, and general abandonment by myself, I have decided to sell the website on auction, with a starting price of $100 paid in either Bitcoins or Litecoins of equal value (Just to be safe when the price changes)
Anyone who's highly interested in the service can purchase it with a "Buy it NOW" price of $350 (also paid in Bitcoins/Litecoins).
Minimum Increment is $1

I've answered a few possible questions below, so that the buyer can be more informed:

Q: Will I get the domain with it?
A: The service was originally founded with http://buybit.it.cx and I'm happy to part with that domain if the buyer wants it. (although it'd be more professional to buy your own .com/.net)

Q: Do I get the hosting of the site?
A: No. You'll have to find your own hosting, as it's currently hosted on one of my personal VPS's which runs several services.

Q: What about the current users of BuyBIT?
A: If needed, I'll dump the current database for the buyer, and the new buyer can decide what'll happen.

Q: What licence will the code be given under?
A: The code will be given without licensing. It's perfectly allowed for the buyer to open source the code and throw it under the GPL, or instead through it under a non-disclosure licence, locked to their company etc.

Q: What are the requirements for the website code?
A: The website is written in PHP with pretty much all dependencies packaged with the code, the only real dependencies are a Namecoin and Bitcoin original daemon running on the server.

Q: What about the wallets?
A: The wallets used by the server will also be optionally given to the buyer, (although I've drained both wallets of funding) so that users will continue to have their balances, and the domains are also linked to the wallet.

Q: Will any support be given, e.g. feature requests, installation?
A: All support is in my discretion. You'll generally just be given the code+wallets+database, and left to do whatever. I may help in some cases, to configure the site to get it running again on your own server.

Q: When will the auction end?
A: The auction will end on 2013-04-28 at 00:00 UTC-0 OR when somebody purchases it for the "Buy it NOW" price.

tl;dr you get the domain, database, wallet, and code. licence however you feel like. it's PHP, no dependencies. no support other than optional configuration help. ends next week.

Any other questions can be asked in the thread, or via PM.
