I can't really add anything to what people here have already said, except to say in the old days you'd have one or two negative trust hits against your good name for simply suggesting a reversible payment method.

"The old days" aren't really that far back. I would not be surprised if the OP was tagged with some negative trust by Vod or some other DT member; I think some members still do.
Nope, just checked, just a password recently reset no negative trust tags at all...
The standard "Buyer Beware" and "avoid reversible payment methods" mantra still applies.
