The Rx 470 should mine for you right out of the box. Since you want to game with it you won't likely want to mess with modding the BIOS or undervolting/overclocking too extensively. The Sapphire ones seem to have the best reputation for mining and they are all relatively equal for gaming so that would "probably" be the best brand to look for. Personally I have 3 ASUS and 3 MSI on the same rig and I like my MSI 470s better than the ASUS (for mining).

Hello Lucko, I think it is best to use RX 470 or RX 480. The RX 470 is probably the best value for hash rate to power consumption. However, the RX 480 is a better card for gaming, but it will use more power mining. In addition, the RX 480 will have a better hash rate than the RX 470. There are plenty of videos on YouTube about these cards.
Thanks... It looks like it is according to calculator that I have now found. And with my power costs at 0.06€/KWh... But are there probelms runing it for mining?

I think you should go with the GTX 1060 cause based on power consumption like 100 watt when mining Equihash you would make about 0.06 BTC per month with this card, the cost has fallen down of the card, it works out of the box not like the RX series which you need to undervolt and edit bios etc. I am starting my own Gaming PC(mining rig) with this card.
Do you have one? What have you done with it...

It is so long since I used GPU for mining that I'm totally out of the loop.

I'm buying a gaming computer that I also plan to use for some "recreation" mining... I'm thinking Nicehash since it is nice and automated but I'm open for suggestions.

For my gaming needs 1060 3GB or even 1050 Ti would be more then enough but i might upgrade or go AMD if mining performance is worth it...

Do anyone have a

GTX 1050 TI or 1050
GTX 1060
GTX 1070
RX 470
RX 480

or maybe even RX 460

Can you please run a benchmarks for Nicehash and post a results?

Thanks

You could just look them up yourself on nicehash's own calculator.

Nicehash calculator shows 0.0021 btc profit per day after reducing energy cost. so 5 of these can make you 0.01 BTC per day same as 1 Antminer S9.
