I'm looking for an anonymous method available in Canada for both buying and selling bitcoins. Anyone?

You can walk into any major Canadian bank such as TD Canada Trust and make a cash deposit into a bitcoin sellers account with Bitcoin-Brokers. No ID, No need to even use your real name if you are buying the BTC.

Here is a 6700 view thread discussing the service:

That's definitely a good service to use as a buyer, although as a seller you don't have the anonymity.

Yes probably LocalBitcoins for small amounts.

Blockchain.info (.5% to launder last i checked) and inputs.io (new fast off-chain transactions) if you are worried about obscuring your trails.

Trade through an alt coin

It would yet be very easy to trace. If you just want to hide the transaction from your partner (1), it might be ok, but if you are looking at ways to "fool" authorities i would say it is not safe enough.

(1) on the other hand, what are the chanses in the first place that your partner are checking the blockchain for transactions  Roll Eyes

LocalBitcoins?

I agree LocalBitcoins is probably the best way to go.  You meet up with the person at a coffee shop with WIFI.
You give him/her 50% of cash,   he/she uses his laptop or smartphone sends the Bitcoins to your wallet.
You verify it has been sent on your laptop or smartphone, then give him/her the remaining 50% cash. Done.

I agree with the above, fast and easy. Avoid trading with very new accounts, for obvious reasons
