I am in the US. The two that work best for me are VirWoX and BitInstant.

With VirWoX, you can deposit funds from a PayPay account. It is a little bit of a pain as they have a waiting period for depositing funds based on how long your account has been opened. So it is not good if you want to make a large deposit when you open your account.

BitInstant looks like they just revamped their system. I use the MoneyGram option and can deposit money at my local WalMart.

If you're in the US, and you have a checking or savings account you're comfortable linking to their service, Coinbase (https://coinbase.com/?r=51a5b0d3867ba8db8e00000c)is a good bet. They charge a flat 1% fee. I've got an article that walks through their process: http://www.bit-buddy.com/buying-bitcoins-on-coinbase.html.

BitInstant (https://bitinstant.com), as you're probably aware, had some major technical issues with a recent update. New transactions after they sorted that stuff out seem to be OK, though. There's more information in their official support thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=128314.7800. I have a how-to article for them too: http://www.bit-buddy.com/buying-bitcoins-with-bitinstant.html.

The chief differences between the two:
  • Coinbase is cheaper; BitInstant is (almost always) faster.
  • Coinbase requires you to link a checking or savings account to make your purchase; BitInstant uses cash.

Hey Everyone,

As you may know there has been a few recent developments in the Bitcoin community. Some of these sudden events have been unfavorable to those trying buying, or re-cooperate, their Bitcoins from online exchanges. Anyway, does anyone have any suggestions on where to currently buy Bitcoins? Preferably not exchanges? I'd really like to get some within two days

Also, If anyone on this forum would like to sell their own coins, we should def talk and work something out.

Much Thanks
