Well if you rescind payments by requesting your CC company to stop it, then it will be a loss to paypal and they will charge back the buyer. I think almost all forms of payments on paypals can be chargedback.

This would not be acting honestly. It would not be the truth. I have never had to initiate a paypal chargeback before but I have had to initiate a credit card chargeback and they make you swear what you are saying is true under the penally of perjury.

I don't care how much money I lost, I am not going to lie under oath in order to get even several thousand dollars back. Doing so would effectively make me a scammer

Lol a scammer wont care about 'truth' he'll only care about getting money into his hands.

I was referring to a situation where the person buying bitcoin is honest and goes first because "paypal can be reversed" but then cannot get a chargeback when the other party does not send the bitcoin and scams

there is a 'safe' method to withdraw funds from paypal. Without getting chargedback.

Chargeback can happen using family and friends so never think this method is completely safe, it is not. Too many have been burned with this method.

OP, escrow does not protect the seller if Paypal is used, you need to update your post as it is incorrect.

I've purchased over $500 worth btc using PayPal from BitRent and Bitcoins101, but I'd like to see if I can grab any coins for market rate, no fees. Escrow is so that I have protection if the seller decides to run away after receiving PayPal payment.
