Trading through Paypal is always risky and what ever you try if a scammer wants a scam then he can even reverse the transaction after a few months so even localbitcoins also can not help you on that issue.

It is not a good idea to buy a crypto currency with Paypal, because all of your personal information is associated with your BTC balance. Best way to buy crypto is to meet other people which want to sell crypto in real life and pay in cash. Unfortunately there are many countries or regions where services like localbitcoins.com are not available due to legislation issues. It is also very hard to buy or sell huge amounts of crypto with cash. I prefer buying huge amounts via highly trusted exchanges like Kraken.

There's also another way besides Localbitcoins or Paxful that's arguably safer and more reliable to buy Bitcoins with Paypal.

Virwox is an exchange originally built for buying Linden dollars, the Second Life currency. They also allow you to deposit with Paypal and withdraw Bitcoins, though they charge pretty high fees.

You can find a guide on how to do this here:

I used to use wesellcrypto.com, but I see trading disabled

So is there any alternative?

there are a lot of scammer chaging paypal for BTC.
You better use a service like bitrated as escrow.

Why don't you try local Bitcoins?
Last week I bought some Bitcoins through PayPal, as expected the transaction went smooth. But there are lots of scammers also, one must be very careful in choosing the right by checking their reputation.
I think you can also buy Bitcoins through PayPal in paxful.com
You are right. Buying Bitcoins with PayPal hardly takes much time. All you need is to be sure that there is no scam or stuff like that. You need to see whether the one whom you are dealing with is a legitimate dealer or not before setting up a deal.
It's a good advice that use localbitcoins which is a good place to buy bitcoins using PayPal but we need to look first to the background information of the person that we are wanted to deal because their are many scammers now in the online transaction. Choose a legitimate dealer so that you are safe for the transaction that happens because money is hard to earned.

indeed,
not only in Localbitcoin and Paxful,
everywhere you see an exchanger accepted Paypal as their payment point you will see something like this,
that is why i said to you,
other than buying it on exchanger that allow you to trade with other Bitcoin user,
try to buy it in here.
you're not a newbie right ?
so you can try to make a trade in here, and remember hire an escrow for every trade.
oh yes,
where're you come from ?
usually every country have a local exchanger that accepting Bitcoin, and other than that they're also accepting Payoneer,Netteler and paypal.
you can try to sell it in there or buy it in there.
even in my country which is not in europe,i have that kind of service.so i believe you should have it too,
it's just you don't know about it

Don't know anything about the rate at which you used to buy bitcoin from wesellcrypto but in their alternatives like paxful and localbitcoins you might have to pay way higher than market price to buy bitcoin with paypal.

If you want to purchase bitcoin with debit card than you can use coinbase if your country is listed in their supported country.

Thanks for creating such a good topic i was in search of this topic from past 2 days, it just took some time for me as i am new here. Anyways as per the above listed sites, i registered on Paxful.com and my transaction went very smoothly and the  best thing is that it also supports Amazon Giftcards Grin

OP, you aren't exactly a newbie here.  Maybe you could try the currency
exchange section here.  I see offers for precisely what you're looking
for all the time.  And yeah, if someone sends you bitcoin first,  there's
about zero chance of you getting scammed.  You probably won't get
someone to go first, though, as you don't have an extensive trade
history.   GL though.

It's you decision but I would avoid buying Bitcoin with PayPal. It takes certain risk, on the side of the person or company you are buying from but also on the side of PayPal who could freeze your account. Plus it's expensive to buy Bitcoin that way, so rather try with some other payment method.

Thanks Koadharber
Ok I tried Paxful.com and the least expensive
rate I could source via PAYPAL was the following:

Minimum is 10 EUR
Maximum trade 50 EUR
It costs you $1.8 for each dollar
Rate 7167.31 EUR per bitcoin (you can buy any fraction of bitcoin)

so as has already been mentioned above the exchange
rates with paypal transactions are just far too high and
I suspect localbitcoins will be the same.

Thanks for the replies everyone! I have learned something new in this regard anyway today  Smiley
Ok I will check out Localbitcoins and Paxful, If I dont see anything appealing I will just
Withdraw the funds and buy crypto from my Bank account as normal.
Localbitcoins is the most common place when it comes on exchanging paypal funds into crpyto or bitcoin itself and as being said above just be careful on the users to whom you are  dealing with since there are lots of scammers lurking on there this is why you should really be attentive and if you do have doubts then better stick on your traditional ways on buying coins.

Why don't you try local Bitcoins?
But there are lots of scammers also
It's pretty unlikely that someone will scam you when giving you Bitcoin in exchange for PayPal, provided that you wait until the coins are in LocalBitcoins escrow before sending.

It's far more likely that the person sending PayPal will scam, considering that PayPal is reversible.  That's why LocalBitcoins sellers only sell small amounts of BTC at a time for PayPal and they add extremely high premiums over the exchange rate.

You'd be far better off withdrawing from PayPal to your bank account and spending that or spending cash - especially considering that PayPal doesn't actually allow you to trade with BTC - but if you really need to use PayPal, you could try using the e-coin debit card.  You can fund your account with PayPal and buy BTC from there.

If you want it to be simple though, you can just use LocalBitcoins and Paxful.

lets talk about the facts in here,
Paypal did not accept any transaction based on Cryptocurrency,
which mean every exchanger, company will disabling their relationship with Paypal(It's only work for them who's traded Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency).
so what is the alternative?
buy it directly from Bitcoin user,or using an exchanger that allow you to trade with other costumer.
find them who's willing to buy Bitcoin using Paypal and Vice Versa.
for example the best place for you to buy it using Paypal is Localbitcoin.com,they're a reputable company so far.
but, bear in your mind.they might be a reputable company but them who's doing a trade with you are not.
so no matter what is the alternative(which is i believe you need to buy it directly from Bitcoin user) you need to use an escrow system or hiring an escrow.

Localbitcoin, paxful and in here are the best in my opinion.
i never heard anything else(might be you can find a local exchanger?)
