I consider making a small investment into Ethereum and I wonder what are your opinions on using eToro.com for this? I see that they also accept PayPal.

The way it works is slightly different from a typical buy/sell exchange. Your trade by opening "buy/sell" positions instead.

Let's say you want to invest $100 worth of Ethereum.
To do so you open a "Buy" position, now the tricky part is that this position has to have "stop loss" and "take profit" values.
If let's say Ethereum goes to the moon overnight your position automatically will close when it reaches your "take profit" amount.
Of course you can set that amount really high but you can't really do that with the "stop loss" value, there is always a limit you can set it to (currently 100% of your investment).

If Ethereum goes down badly and suddenly worth less than your "stop loss" value your position will close and you lose your investment completely.

I think it's easier to just buy crypto on exchange, in that case you can always HODL Smiley and don't worry about reaching "stop loss"

Any trades please correct me if I'm wrong

The only thing that I can say about them is that apparently they did enough right to have some longevity.  I had no idea that they were still around.  I would personally check all the forums and search engines twice and be careful, but at least they have survived and not taken off yet with the people's money.

ETORO as the optin for BTC and ETH.
a few months back i made a demo account and put some copies...never got back there.
Now that you remind me ill go check what had happenned if i had went for real on copy trading.

Just came bak from Etoro. Got 4% in almost one year for 100.000 virtual investment. I think it would have been to risky for such small return.
What do you think?

They only allow you to trade ETH like share there and buying ETH at current price could be wise decision, I think you can go ahead and buy some ETH.

Last time I heard about etoro is they are more on currency trading not on crypto currency unless they shifted to crypto currency or included crypto currency in their platform. Their platform is different as all you have to do I chose between up or down, unlike traditional trading where you have to put the price per share.
I was also unaware of this but found that they have option for ETH-USD trading https://www.etoro.com/markets/ethereum
However I don't think they will allow you to withdraw those ETH from the platform, those ETH might be just like virtual Ethereum.
