Hackers are selling Facebook logins for just $2.60 on the dark web
It's unethical and violates Facebook's rules.
Why would you buy them? As far as I know, they are being used for spreading propaganda by governments, fake news, identity theft, and fraud.

as far as I know it's not illegal, but, why waste your hard earned money on that?!? besides, if you buy one from someone else, who knows what they used that account for before giving it to you. it could come loaded with bad karma!

I never bought a Facebook account but there are also many people they buy to do advertising.
There is so mich fake acc on FB and so much people have 2 or more acc. If that is not illegal than using (buying) someones acc I don't think FB cares for that. There is a lot of things taht happens on FB and they don't care about.

it is better not to buy accounts. Take Sim Card, take a proxy. Do post 1-2 months and let me rest for 2 months - the perfect account for advertising

Its not illegal here to buy the facebook accounts. But to be frank , within two weeks you can easily build a facebook account very easily. So don't waste your money by buying it.
Its very much difficult to convince facebook that you own the account when they finally test who your friends were after they recognize the account is login from another IP address. They have this AI that will determine the changes even the postings and interests of the previous user. You can't get away with facebook with a bought account anymore.

It is forbidden by facebook but no one will arrest you if you sell or buy accounts. You could get banned by facebook.
