Each mining card bought under 100 dollars is a good investment, even the 1050 ti if bought for 70 dollars is a good investment too, they will make very few money right now but you will be happy with them in the long run.The same can be said for the P106 cards, you will be very happy after a few months for the choice you made to buy them, happy mining.

Thanks for the info guys! Just an update, i pulled the trigger thanks to your advice and was able to buy 6 pieces of these P106s. Was able to run them alongside my rtx 2060 using latest drivers. Each P106 is now earning around $0.50 per day. If all goes well i'll be able to achieve ROI on 1 GPU per month.

Recently some P106 mining cards have gone up for sale locally for only $55 (sale!).

I'm thinking of buying a few pieces but my concern is will they work with newer NVIDIA drivers? Specifically NVIDIA driver versions 400+?
If i remember correctly the P106 mining drivers were only using NVIDIA driver version 380-391.

Can't find any answers from google but does anyone have any experience making these work (specifically adjusting clock/power settings with newer drivers)?
I don't want to downgrade drivers because i'm also mining with some new RTX 2060s and likely these need the new NVIDIA drivers.

P106 GPUs are based on GeForce architecture. So you can run them with RTX cards with no issues with newest drivers.
The compatibility problem with Nvidia GPUs now is only problem that you can't run GeForce and Quadro\Tesla cards at the same machine (But about a year ago it was possible)

at $ 55 the price is generally very low. but there is a big minus, if mining ceases to make a profit then these cards can be hung on the Christmas tree for the new year instead of toys. although there is a YouTube video how they play in game

There is a way to get Inspector to work, but it's not 100% and you have to use older drivers 399.24

Is there any other nVidia inspector like tool for playing with these P106s? Or it's impossible at all?

for that price
its a steal
if the electricity price is not too high
you can probably break even for the cards in two to three months

Yes, all newer drivers work with P106/104/102. I have P104-100 running Nv 430 drivers fine. Just note that NVinspector does not work on P106-100 due to them running in SMI mode. Claymore new straps also work for these, but it's going to be trial and error. for my P104s I'm using -STRAP 4 getting 2 extra Mh/s

all nvidia cards support the latest drivers, so it should work with the same drivers as the one used for your RTX
