Also, your us stock picture is probably a stock picture since I see it used back in 2018 by a Romanian business

I've never bought anything from alibaba before and im about to drop five figures on what will probably be s19s or s19j/s19jpros.

I know to use trade assurance, and look for a verified buyer, but I was wondering if anyone had any tips about the process.

Also, I was wondering if most people mine exclusively btc, or is there more splitting of resources.  Thanks.

The process if quite the same than ordering anywhere else.

If you have a good seller, just run and mine my friend !

You could mine BTC, BCH, DGB and some others with a SHA256 machine.

I always had good experiences with used chinese Antminer. They came in 5 days in general (I'm in Europe) and only had 32 euros of tax for each machine.

I'm here in ASIA and I have terrible problems with alibaba, certainly that's it "Find a good seller", how are u going to do that? The only way a person can get rich in CHINA is to cheat the buyer, and honest guy always loses in China.

The trouble now is that alibaba takes 10% on an order in fee's whether it ships, cancels or not, and if they send what is not ordered, it always costs more to return, than they think cost, and if u do return, they always deny they got the return; The seller has all the power on alibaba.com the buyer has no power.

Sure find a 'good seller', they'll lie tell u what you want to hear, buy one, and see; Might take years to find this 'unicorn', a better proposition is somebody on this forum tell us about this good seller? I have been here 20 years, I buy from baba weekly, and I have never found a 'good seller' of used equipment.

I have to agree with room101.  I have not heard anything good about buying used miners through Alibaba.  They're usually all corroded AF and you're lucky if half of them run when they arrive.  Forget about getting a refund from them, you'll never see your money back.  EBay as expensive as it is is a MUCH safer place to buy miners from.  You have a 30 day buyer guarantee, if the product doesn't arrive, doesn't work when it arrives or stops working within 30 days of arrival you get your money back.  You will pay more for miners off EBay but at least you will get more sleep at night.  I recommend buying from sellers with good reputation within your own country to sleep even better at night.  Wink

@NFW  agreed.

The quality of production in not up to which country it is made in.
Another western manufacturer (Swedish) KNCMiner also had lots of issues with their hardware.

In terms of quality, I like Canaan and MicroBT the most at the moment.
In smaller scale, Gekkoscience and Futurebit are doing great job.

i wanna ask about the Chinese hardware quality, if you bought it or have any experience with with Chinese hardware can you send any feedback about its quality and long term in use differences.
Your question should really be in its own (and new) thread...
Considering virtually all miners with the exception of Sidehack's gear and the Apollo's are Made in China makes it a rather moot point.

That said, it makes NO difference where miners (or anything else) are made. They are built to design spec's. If the designers know what they are doing and if their company will pay whatever it takes for their products to be 'Best in Class', then Quality can be Excellent regardless of the country of origin. Case in point, iPhones, high end PC's, etc.

If the designers are facing cost constraints or worse, don't really know what they are doing, then things will go down hill from there. Poster Child of the latter were the Coincraft miners from Bitmine.ch circa 2014 - despite Bitmine.ch being a Swiss company their designers were absolutely clueless about designing high power electronics. Do to terrible design their miners failed miserably because the power and thermal designs were absolute crap despite the actual hardware being made & assembled both in the EU and the US...

I am debating ordering a unit from Mining Expert through Grace Zhou as a couple member's have vouched for Grace.
I hoping maybe another couple members can also confirm.
I really worry about Crypto payments direct to seller without Alibaba or other assurances.

Any other reviews or opinions, or safe payment options?

Man, if I would have got robbed every Friday when coming from work for 20 years I would have either tried to change the way home or change my neighborhood.
If you only get scammed every time why do you keep trying to buy stuff?
Maybe it's because you're trying so hard to buy cheap ex.php?topic=5345186.msg57538306#msg57538306">S12 Asics or other stuff like that?

The only way a person can get rich in CHINA is to cheat the buyer, and honest guy always loses in China.

This statement is so mean and is actually racist, you are saying that every successful seller in China is a scammer/liar, which is not the case.

Of course, the majority of those sellers are not honest, but it isn't half as bad as you show it.

The problem with these mining gear sellers on Alibaba and Aliexpress is that most of them do NOT own any mining gears, they will either 'dropship' or buy the miner for you and reship it, some don't even know how to troubleshoot those gears before sending them out, and given that mining gears have a very high failure rate, there is always a good chance you end up with a broken miner.

Those "honest" seller will offer a refund if you return the miner, but well, you will lose a good portion of your money if something like that happens, I have done some deals on Aliexpress, some went well, most were terrible, and I would advise against buying used mining gears from both Alibaba and Aliexpress.

Yes absolutely. This guy is saying that if you are born in China, your lifemap is done : to succeed you have to scam your neighbor. That is so stupid, I'm sad of reading that.
I've bought a lot of ASICs in China. I buy in China and sell in EU/US. I had problems with some seller from Alibaba. But when I took some time to read reviews, feedbacks, and to talk to sellers, I found some excellents contacts. I have a seller in Shenzhen which actually sell S9 in perfect condition for 240$usd. (price of 22.06.2021) MOQ 1

@btc-room101  : I could share with you my suppliers, they are stable and always gave me good ASICS. But they are from China. So sorry, I won't share the contact, but you know, it's for your own interest, I wouldn't hear that they scammed you ! You should buy books, and learn which history does have China with business, commercial things through the ages.....
