I will work on making the site more professional, thanks.

@qiqigongzhu, what?  A lot of people have been and are using Bitcoin to buy stuff.  Mostly it seems people just HODL and trade crypto tho.

PS
Site has been revamped.

I didn't buy the favicon, I saw it on another site and nabbed it.  That is a nice site for crypto icons tho.  Also, the favicon on bitcointalk is there and not even modified Wink

Yeah, the About Us is pretty lame.  I think I will just remove it.

Well I'm sorry but if you want to be taken seriously by the community, you need to do stuff professionally here. Instead of actually fixing your About Us section, you're planning on removing it instead?

I have the option of https://www.hooyu.com/ for identification because I understand if people don't trust website.  I agree that trust of the website is important.I'm working on getting my miicard (https://my.miicard.com/) verified but it has trouble with pnc which is my bank.  Maybe this will make more people comfortable.

Thanks for all the input.

No, it's not an exchange. No fiat is held by the website.  Crypto is transferred from the seller to the buyer.

Think of it as Amazon/Etsy for crypto except even the seller is paid directly.

I'm not great at graphics and focused more getting the code to work correctly.  Even Binance the favicon sucks, does not have About Us, no location, is a central exchange, cheesy Ads, but millions threw crypto on there (this is before they became a monster).

I understand the concern about scamming and I think this is what will keep us all from using Coinbase and big players at this point.  It's just easier to deal with what you know and trust.  Also, not a lot of people want to offer their coins for fiat.

You don't need to trust me to list items and you don't technically need to trust the seller before buying (verification is required) since you can dispute Paypal transactions, if you use that.  Also, an escrow service can be used.

They don't need to trust you?? Shocked If they don't trust you then how can they trust your verification? (Who knows if it's safe to entrust our indentities or if it's fake or not).

Everyone who used any of the big player exchanges has their first times so obviously they have no past experience with that particular exchange so surely it must've looked "trustable" in their eyes. I'm not only talking about the look and feel as there are also other factors that contributes to it such as reviews, transparency etc.. but it's no doubt that the look and feel is a crucial part so man you gotta work on your UI--- and yeah a lot of other things also.

This is exactly why it's sketchy.

A site constructed with low effort  will raise alot of questions, e.g what else you are neglecting, ( user security etc.), or you might even be pulling a scam and going dark once a certain amount of users deposited money, since, correct me if i'm wrong, you're running a centralized exchange?

How can we/I trust you in the first place?

The about us section looks like it was made in less than 5 minutes.

Digital Asset Market is a market place for selling and buying digital assets using US dollars.  We verify our members and take a deposit from sellers to reduce fraud.

Please let us know if you have any suggestions to make the community better.

Also, so is the logo. It was just bought on a stock icon site and replaced the BTC with DAM.

DAM logo on the left, logo from iconfinder.com on the right (direct link to icon)

So yea, there's no way I'm using that site whatsoever. Though I don't have proof that this is indeed 100% a scam, it has so much red flags that it might as well be a soviet country.

I'm not sure what looks sketchy about it.  It's a marketplace so maybe that's it.  Really using Paypal takes the risk away from the buyer and the seller has most of the risk in my opinion.  Transactions can be disputed with PP but not with crypto.

Listings can stay up as long as the sellers wants to have them listed.  There can be gaps in pricing but a seller order minimum, transfer cost, seller activity, and etc will determine if a buy wants to use them.

As far as the price being expensive for XLM.  Add the cost plus your time to transfer money to Coinbase or whatever then to Binance then to your wallet.  Some coins or tokens are very difficult to get so the cost is even more.

I don't expect that this will be huge for hardcore crypto users to buy but more like they would be interested in listing their favorite coins and tokens.  Free promotion for them and make a little cash.

List your crypto to sell for the amount you want in US Dollars on DAM! It's very easy to sign up and get your listing(s) online.

Once your listing is online then you can just sit back and wait for someone to purchase it. If you don't want to sell anymore then delete it.

https://digitalassetmarket.me

If the market grows then more features will be added to make the listing and selling process even more seamless and automated.

If you have any questions then post away. I will try to answer them the best I can. Constructive posts are always welcome 😉

Hmm. This site looks extremely sketchy, and it doesn't look like anyone has used it yet, or atleast, i can't find any signs that it has been used yet.

Also the concept doesn't really make sense when there aren't alot of users. These orderbooks will just be empty with huge gaps? I also see XLM for 0.25$ when the current price is .23xx, that's a hefty fee, isn't it.
