pointers? huh. anything that sounds good or you just have no idea what it does

I'm not sure I understand what you are implying, here, or at least I hope I'm not Smiley

When collecting things, as opposed to buying for using (and disregarding the fact I actually use most of my gear), unless you have an unlimited amount of money and space you need to have some rules and stick to them. If I bought my guitars based on how good they sound I'd likely have a much different set of them. I decided to maximise the resale value, mostly, so focusing on rare / famous /sought after material first and foremost. Next I go for those things that are just plain cheap and can't be missed.

So, yeah, I know what a synth does, but I'm not running a second hand store (yet!), I'm trying to build myself a collection that is at the same time a good investment… and have fun at the same time, really loud fun.

i always wished drummers came with a stop/start buttom and a vol. knob.

Yes, I have that same wish whenever I'm not the one on the stool Smiley

keep me posted if you find anything that you think i would like. im always into a new toy. and as i said before. not fully working or dirty is fine with me to. if you need any gear fixed ill do it in trade to

Nothing of the sort atm. I play the drums a bit, and as such tend to go for having actual drum kits as opposed to drum machines, but I'll keep an eye out!

As for synths, the vintage ones are hard to score for a fair price and since I didn't play them in the 80s I don't even know what to look for. Any pointers you can share?

Hi all,

I have a small but growing collection of music stuff, mostly guitars and effect pedals, but some other stuff too. I started a blog listing what I own which is still very incomplete but will be updated as time permits.

I've been buying, selling and trading locally for a while but since I'm also into bitcoins I thought I'd leave a note here for anyone interested. I don't actively sell anything, but I'm open to offers and I'll certainly be interested in buying your old / rare / odd instruments and gear… for the right price Smiley I'll entertain any trade offers too.

The blog -> http://loudcollection.blogspot.com

I'm in Europe, more specifically in Portugal so for bulky or expensive stuff I'd rather stick to Europe but hey, for the right stuff I'm open to anything.
