In my opinion, we should be aware of speculative factors and analyze the past and what are the forces behind XRP. So a basic fact is the number of institutions that are supporting the project and we will hardly see the failure of XRP and maybe we can see an evolution of the project. On the other hand, Litecoin does not need the failure of another project to grow and establish itself, it's becoming stronger and stronger on its own.

While I can't tell I'm not happy for what is happening with Ripple but this is an example of a centralized agency influencing and affecting a crypto currency. I know Ripple is considered a centralized coin but it could happen with any other coin. And for a community focused coin like Litecoin, there would be not much options. This is also the reason why we should promote DEX and implement cross platform dex as soon as possible.
You are the first person that have something good to say about XRP, many are calling this project a scam and it seem like I'm the only person that's not happy about what's happening, I don't have a big bag of XRP but for the fact that this coin is very useful and also a top altcoin I don't wish for it to end just like that, I do hope that XRP make a good return
Why are you so sure with XRP that this coin will make a profit?
because it is seen from the current conditions that in fact the price of XRP has decreased drastically and of course this makes everyone do not believe in XRP
It looks like he is actively shorting the XRP market and he is feeling so good to see that the ripple price goes down. XRP has no usefulness and even when it being called as security coin and the holders never got the dividend from the profit that generated by the companies. all of profit gone to the foundation's pocket. lol
XRP will die soon.

I bought XRP and not LTC. My bad for being forgetful to invest with both coins.
XRP had been good to me especially with transaction fees. It's just too low compared to others. Hell, even cheaper than Ethereum.
Well, I guess everything has an end, I just hope it won't be that bad.

Maybe it's also time to exchange those XRP for LTC.
Yeah, a hype might happen that would take LTC back in its place.

After the suspension imposed by coinbase on xripple trading, observing the rank of Litecoin, we see that soon there could be overtaking and Litecoin could return fourth(third of the crypto). The impression I have is that someone in the upper echelons tried to replace Litecoin with Xripple but failed. A bit like replacing a LED TV with a cathode ray tube one. Do you think Litecoin will return to reign with the Bitcoin and Ethereum brothers as in the past?
What do you mean tried to replace Litecoin by Ripple ? litecoin drops momentum in 2018 because it was being sold so the supporters adjust and some may invest in ripple and some are in other coins.
But Litecoin and ripple are totally different .
LTC is decentralized while XRP is centralized ,But litecoin now is recovering maybe in the next days it will gain back the rank 3 position as Cryptocurrency but who knows?
XRP may facing the hard time now ,but we must consider that the case filed is from US and there are lot of crypto users all over the world,if they can't push US territory then they may go in some other places in which the coins will be supported and use ,because we cannot deny the fact that Ripple(XRP) is one of the cheapest transaction fee covering in the whole market.

While I was worried selling off my xrp, to be honest I forgot litecoin. If I converted my xrp to ltc when it was at it's peak before. But seems it's too late for me. I mean, this is something that everyone should learn. That we don't have to be focused on one coin that is probably falling, because there are other choices we can choose with lots of potential, too like ltc.

While i do believe that LTC has a much better pedigree than XRP, how does the community make sense of Coblee dumping on the community during the ATH back in 2017-18.

I know he gave some excuse about, "I am out of it so I don't have huge founder's stake". It almost sounded like what Satoshi did. But Satoshi dint cash out his million BTC stack.

Also, since getting out at 300ish, he even let development and marketing linger. Its the community that kept it alive. What is new with LTC by the way?

Though LTC seems to move up once XRP trading will be halted by major exchanges, yet, I don't know if LTC can really live up to that position.
I have had heard rumours that there is no active development going on anymore with LTC, but is it just a rumour or a fact?
When you check their git link, the last commit was months and months ago.

https://github.com/litecoin-project/litecoin

So this is what I'm worried about LTC, if the team is still doing behind closed doors or just doing nothing?
They will develop MimbleWimble on Litecoin: is an update that implements extension blocks to Litecoin's chain – allowing users to effectively mask their identities and trade in full confidence.

Do you think Litecoin will return to reign with the Bitcoin and Ethereum brothers as in the past?
XRP has never been a match for Litecoin despite it occupying a leading spot on the list. For me, I really don't give much consideration for spots. I gauge a coin by what I know it can do (use-case) and then look at the total supply before drawing conclusions. I ain't saying this now that Ripple is overrated because of what has become of its fate of late, I have always maintained that its greatest undoing is its huge supply. And now, this onslaught on it may kill it. I will just be watching if this will be another Bitcoinconnect Coin incident playing out here again. BCC has completely gone off the radar since after that scam accusation incident a few years ago.

Litecoin is a very strong opponent and can threaten Ripple. If in the near future Ripple can overcome the difficulties it is difficult to predict the ranking on coinmarketcap. The most important thing we will still see Ripple in the year 2021?
Im sure that ripple will be dead. this time bittrex announces that if bittrex will try to disable XRP service started from the 15 January. I do believe POLONIEX will be coming soon. All of US exchange sites must delist XRP or they will face SEC. It looks like ripple will be going down to the top 100 or 200 next year.
If SEC will be winning on the legal battle and it can make the price of ripple to be dumped so hard.

The former as such is actually a pretty big improvement from a banking perspective. But certainly neither worth their "market cap" nor the inclusion of an army of tech-illiterate pocket change investors.

since December the XRP market has always experienced a decline in both price and market capitalization. currently only 1 billion difference from LTC. If bad news about XRP continues to circulate, it is very possible that XRP will experience a nightmare, namely a dump like 2018. LTC will replace XRP even though LTC can one day be replaced by its competitors such as Dot and BNB which are increasingly recognized by the public thanks to its advantages and potential.

Yes, litecoin is doing well in the market and its nice to see it back in the league of the big boys and it feels so nostalgic and reminds me of early 2014-15 when ltc was at top but i feel bad for xrp holders too and i hope the issues will be sorted out and things will be back to normal soon.

What's so special about litecoin that you have mentioned that is quality in out smarting Xrp. If not for the recent regulation problem they had with SEC, I believe Xrp will be a hot gem but they wait purposely for it to pump and roll out their excuse news about security issues, they did it on purpose since they knew ripple will be doing airdrops to their holders, this has led to downfall of XRP.

there doesn't seem to be any hope for XRP to rank 4 th on the Coinmarcetcap market. This is only a my prediction if Xrp continues to decline in the next few days or it may dump up to $ 0.1, it is very possible that LTC can replace it. but it all depends on time, we'll see what happens next.

As xrp price and market cap decreasing continuously, litecoin will overtake xrp soon. Last hour I found ltc at 4th position in coinmarketcap for a while, and both coin was having 8.03 billon market cap value. Though xrp gained back it position quickly. Now the difference between ltc and xrp marketcap isn't too much. I think ltc will overtake xrp soon and it will take the fourth place in crypto market surely.

Recently no other altcoins have shown good movement like ltc. But ltc won't be able to overtake stable coin USDT marketcap soon. Though I believe litecoin will reign in crypto market after Bitcoin and Ethereum as it was doing in the past.

still not but if this continues it is possible that the xrp could drop below 0.1 $ or even worse. but i am not sure this will happen like most of the coins that have died.xrp is not a small market cap coin, so it won't be easy to drop to a low even if the price continues to decline.
My prediction is that ripple will still be stable in the range 0.17-0.22 $.
