I have a sweet memory with Bytecoin in 2017 when I can mine it with my CPU and Minergate. At that period, Bytecoin (BCN) was traded at 1 or 2 satoshi. Months later, with the altcoin season in 2017, it was bumped to 20 satoshi. It was the time for shit altcoins like Siacoin and Bytecoin in 2017.

In this year, Bytecoin has very low volume with more than $70,000 was exchanged in last 24 hours. It is a small volume in BTC but not actually small in $. The biggest exchange for Bytecoin is Gate.io

I don't think Bytecoin will get $1 for one BCN. Never.

Yes. Trading volume is extremely low because investors and traders are focused on other big players in the crypto/blockchain space. It's all about money these days. Despite BCN's privacy features, other coins have fared better because of their aggressive marketing/promotion efforts. I guess this has made Monero much more successful than Bytecoin itself. It's an oddity these days, since most forked projects tend to stay behind the original project. Consider how both Bitcoin Cash and Bitcoin SV have been unable to take Bitcoin's place on the market since their inception. It's all a matter of providing active development, innovation, and real use cases for the mainstream world in order to gain massive traction on the market.

Nonetheless, crypto behaves in strange and bizarre ways. Who knows if Bytecoin gains traction sometime in the future? Early adopters will be lucky if BCN ever hits $1 per coin. Back in the day, people never believed a joke cryptocurrency like DOGE would hit an ATH of $0.08. Yet, it happened making many early adopters filthy rich. The same thing might happen with BCN if it remains actively traded on the market. As long as the community supports the project every step of the way, nothing else matters. Just my opinion Smiley

I have a joke,
If a byte = 8 bit. So isnt a bytecoin will worth 8 bitcoin  Grin
But for sure its only a joke, its not worth to invest on inactive project like Bytecoin, look at their blogs, twitter, and github no more activity since 2019.

No future for this scam coin at all even I am surprised to see it still alive, it has been discussed by many people about how dangerous this project is not only in this forum but also in other social medias.
take a quick look at this fresh thread talking about Bytecoin https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4508322.60.
if you are still buying and holding it after reading it or doing your own research, I do not know what should I say but greed or rather stupid?

Bytecoin was the first cryptocurrency which brought the "CryptoNight" PoW algorithm to the crypto/Blockchain space. Being one of the first privacy coins ever created, I'd say it was well ahead of its time. Considering the features BCN provides, I'd say it's pretty undervalued these days. I mean, Monero is a fork of the original Bytecoin blockchain and it's worth hundreds of dollars on the market. I see this odd since forked projects usually turn out to be one step behind of the original project. Consider how Bitcoin Cash and Bitcoin SV have been unable to overcome Bitcoin in terms of market cap and mainstream adoption to this date.

Now, I'm starting to wonder what will be Bytecoin's future in the long run? If demand soars for BCN, we see higher prices for the coin in the long term. That is if people become aware of Bytecoin's benefits as a privacy coin. Do you think there's a possibility Bytecoin will hit $1 in the future? If not, why? Huh
