Hello Heather,

After reading your bio, I thought you would enjoy this post I put on this forum on Saturday:

http://forum.bitcoin.org/index.php?topic=25377.0

A model is only a model, but I thought you would like the July 2013 projection.  It spans 9 orders of magnitude on the x-axis and 7 on the y-axis.   If that does not get people's attention when talking about the future, I do not know what will.

Best regards,

Jim

Greetings All,

I am an academic researcher and futurist and very interested in Bitcoin. I first came across it late last year as part of my research into the Future of Alternate Currency and Transactions. (You can see my work in that area here: http://www.heathervescent.com/heathervescent/fotr.html)

Last week, tired of the media hype, I launched my first survey looking into Bitcoin usage by those who actually use Bitcoin. I've had a great response so far, and would like to invite anyone here on the forum to participate. The survey is here: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Bitcoin

I plan to share the aggregate results of the survey with you and of course your responses will be private and used only for this research project.

Thanks for your consideration and participation. If you have questions, just ask. Smiley

Cheers,

-Heather
