Or someone that is trying to find a reason to hate a certain group (Muslims) and then take advantage of certain stories for that.

Hate to see it. Come on folks.
This is clearly what's happening. Pathetic.

Hate to be that guy, but I don't see any real news regarding the topic. I'm not a big fan of trusting random people on social media to get my news from (even if the mainstream media can't always be trusted)

Anychance you have a reputable news company, even one in Belgium which is reporting on this issue?

You seriously expects CNN or MSNBC or BBC to report on this? In this current political clime in the USA and around the world? Please, expect no further because it may never come.

Meanwhile, this was in news last year: https://www.euronews.com/2018/04/26/islam-party-stirs-controversy-ahead-of-belgian-elections

And you can check this Reddit discussion: https://www.reddit.com/r/samharris/comments/d0933a/a_muslim_party_in_belgium_is_campaigning_to_and/

Top comment from your reddit thread:

"Lol. I live in Belgium and I haven't heard shit about this. Whoever these guys are, they're completely irrelevant."

Seems like you're just trying to stir up trouble by making posts like this.

This was more or less what I was pointing to. Someone seeing something in their community, and saying that this is an issue across their entire nation.

Or someone that is trying to find a reason to hate a certain group (Muslims) and then take advantage of certain stories for that.

Hate to see it. Come on folks.

A Muslim Party in Belgium is campaigning and promoting to establish an Islamic state in their new country, being Belgium. France is also currently under serious pressure to adapt to Muslim ways of life and make way for Islamic state. Sweden and Germany are not left out. Could this be true? What do you think is the future of Europe?

According to a Twitter user,

This is so wrong and so dangerous. Presumably, when you move to a new country, you should become a contributing citizen. Here, they want to force their hosts to adapt to their culture, way of life, and rules to live by. Europe is gone, Canada is next, then the US.

I would echo this comment right after the original poster's:

Social media has been weaponized and as such, we must all learn to do our own research. DYOR.

I realize that this may not be toeing the anti-establishment line, but in the absence of professional media what exactly do we have?

We have everyone who has more than 500 followers a credible chance to inform, but also to "misinform". Add to that the capability to create reverberating echo chambers and social media becomes the ultimate fear giver. What does aging Europe and North America fear the most? Why migration of course! Migration of well meaning and oftentimes more educated Asians, Middle Easterns and Africans - this is the same fear that was created when the slave trade persisted in the past.

Without professional media, what set of ethics does the average social media "influencer" adhere to? Claiming that it's simply the truth, is a dangerous proposition.

On the other hand, we must balance what we consume with a healthy skepticism.

On the bright side we get funny news like that thing called Ilhan Omar in the US. The thot was pushing for Sharia and now her husband wants to divorce her because of supposed infidelity. Under the Sharia she's pushing for she would have already been stoned to death.

She's super liberal, pro-LGBTQ, pro life, etc.

When was she pushing for Sharia?

Even without links it's totally believable. These people ask for Sharia everywhere. It's really getting ridiculous.

Lebanon is a good example. Christians had power there in my lifetime - now the place is run by Hezbollah, an Iranian puppet. ( Iran being an Islamic state and all that )

I heard about Lebanon before. Also heard the Muslim population there got a significant boost after the Lebanese opened their borders to help people (forgot which neighbor was having trouble back then).

Sounds familiar?

No. I am not interested in troubles. Just reporting the news the way I found it, haven't been to Belgium all my life, maybe I'll visit someday.

Interesting comment...

Muslims are very patient, and relentless in their long-term plans, but they are not stupid.

They know enough not to push for an Islamic state in a country where they are still a small minority.

If you really want to see the real-world process of Islamification come to its ultimate fruition - look for examples where a country tips over from an Islamic minority to an Islamic majority.

Lebanon is a good example. Christians had power there in my lifetime - now the place is run by Hezbollah, an Iranian puppet. ( Iran being an Islamic state and all that )

Most countries and governments allow a certain amount of privacy to their citizens. But when citizens or aliens try to start a second government right within any nation, the nation usually takes it down.

The USA is an interesting nation regarding this. In order to start a new nation within the USA, the new nation has to support the USA to do it. And the whole thing is based on the freedom in the USA.

Cool

I speak dutch, and i did a quick google search... Ended up on sites like this one: https://www.bruzz.be/brussel-kiest-2018/partij-islam-haalt-nergens-verkozene-2018-10-15  or on wikipedia https://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Islam_(politieke_partij) (and a bunch of other sites that tell basically the same thing)

For those that do not wish to use google translate, the TL;DR; version is:
- There is a political party called "Islam" in Belgium
- They want to install an islamic ruling, and Sharia
- In 2012 they tried to gain votes in 3 of the most muslim-centralised cities in brussels, they only got 2 seats in the city's council. This means they had nothing to say even in those 3 cities they tried to infiltrate
- In the last elections in 2019 2018 they even lost these 2 seats, and they are now a non-issue

EDIT: Fixed a typo

This is pretty much what I was looking for, as I wasn't expecting the mainstream media to cover this but it is fair to see this coming out of a local news company in Belgium.

I'm personally unaware of how to check for bias on this site, but this is a start towards showing real evidence. Thanks for chiming in!
