23:11 Vinny K: I know on 19th nov you sent your BTC on expired add
23:11 me: the address was not expired when I made the transaction
23:12 me: it just confirmed after the address expired; for some reason it took 2,431 minutes!
23:12 me: got into block # 270639 (2013-11-20 16:02:07)
23:13 me: i've never had a transaction 41+ hours to confirm before

23:13 Vinny K: What is BTC amount?
23:14 me: 0.08204165 BTC

23:15 Vinny K: Recovering deposits to expired addresses is a very time-consuming process, and we charge $150 per hour for this service.
23:17 me: you said you would waive that; see ticket #XXX-XXX-XXXXX: " Recovering deposits to expired addresses is a very time-consuming process, and we charge $150 per hour for this service. Looks like this was the first such issue for your account, so I am going to waive this fee for you and forward this info to system admin for recovery. Your ETA for recovery is 1-2 weeks."
23:18 me: it's been 3+ months since you said it would only take 1-2 weeks to recover it
23:18 me: then this ticket was closed without resolution
23:19 me: and a few days ago you opened it again after i contacted you via chat
23:20 Vinny K: as this was a mistake from your side if you are ready to pay this fees than we will ask our technical dept to dig this BTC for you
23:20 me: How is it a mistake on my side?
23:20 me: you already said you waived the fees
23:20 me: and you did nothing!
23:22 Vinny K: let me give couple of days i will ask our technical dept
23:22 Vinny K: as it is very time consuming process
23:22 me: why is it time consuming? you've already had 3+ months
23:22 me: how much more time do you need?
23:24 Vinny K: as this issue is very old for us we need more time
23:24 Vinny K: so we recommend you to wait for our reply
Notice how he didn't tell my why the "recovery" is a "time-consuming process." These guys are scammers.

They are selectively scamming people!
They probably "unselected" you because you were making too much noise Cheesy Grin
Good for you!
I have been waiting for over 3 months so they'll return $3000 taken from  my account and never returned.  Angry
I hope to have the same good luck as you.

Not saying that you did but did you reuse the same deposit address when depositing to campbx?  If you did that could be why the coins did not show up.  It says on their site that old addresses can't be reused once used. So you have to generate a new address for every new deposit.
I used a new address, but for some reason my coins confirmed 40+ hours later, which happened to be after the address "expired". I've never had any BTC transactions take that long to confirm.

Here's some info about my transaction:
Why did it take this transaction 41 hours to get into the blockchain? How is that possible?

It was received on 2013-11-18 23:31:24 and only got into block # 270639 (2013-11-20 16:02:07 +2,431 minutes)!

It thus instantly jumped from 0 confirmations to 13+ confirmations now.

Is this because the volume of BTC transactions has skyrocketed recently, and blocks have a transaction number limit, don't they?

FWIW, Campbx seems to have lost my deposit of testnet BTC.  Glad they have a testnet site so that I could see that their service is having problems without using real coins! Smiley
What is testnet?

If this isn't the cause then I wouldn't even use them right now with real coins until we figure out what happened to your coins. I am not going to use them either.

Geremia, this record is for "Whoisguard" company, which is an intermediary protector for the domain CampBX.com.  CampBX is based in Alpharetta, GA.

We have recovered all BTCs from D-DoS time and resolved those tickets in February.  Your issue may be something different and our sys admin will review and resolve it shortly.

"Keyur @ Camp BX" is a Bitcointalk.org user.

I didn't know they were struggling with a DDoS attack.

I linked them a few of the Bitcointalk.org threads on how their customers are being increasingly dissatisfied; perhaps they're paying attention now.

I like CampBX, but I'm not sure why they discontinued Dwolla support.
CampBX didn't discontinue Dwolla - Dwolla discontinued service to anything related to bitcoin, including CampBX. This was not CampBX's decision.
Oh, yes, that's right.
As someone else mentioned, this probably dramatically limited they money flow.

STAY AWAY FROM CampBX! I initiated a wire on 12-15-2013 for $16,000 USD and they never sent the wire but claimed they tried and it failed so I sent them proof that they did not even try to send it and they quit responding to my support tickets. They are selectively scamming people! Search a little more about them and you will see. Check their Facebook, nothing but complaints of people not getting their money.

---------EDIT----------UPDATE----------EDIT----------UPDATE----------EDIT----------UPDATE----------EDIT----------UPDATE----------EDIT----------UPDATE---------

AS OF TODAY 01/09/2014 THEY HAVE RETURNED THE MONEY TO MY CampBX ACCOUNT! I CAUGHT THEIR CHAT SUPPORT (VINNY K.) ONLINE AROUND MIDNIGHT EASTERN TIME AND HE CORRECTED THIS ISSUE WITHIN A FEW HOURS! NEEDLESS TO SAY INSTEAD OF RETRYING THE WIRE AGAIN I JUST PURCHASED BTC AND TRANSFERRED THEM OUT OF THERE. MY FINAL CONCLUSION IS THAT THEY ARE JUST VERY VERY INEXPERIENCED WITH RUNNING A COMPANY WITH THE VOLUME THAT THEY HAVE BEEN HIT WITH. GOOD LUCK TO THE REST OF YOU!!!!

I'm in the same boat.  More than 7 weeks now for me.  I have had two responses. First one said "ETA 1-2 weeks", that was more than 4 weeks ago.  Second one said some version of "Wait some more while we try and figure out difference between our ass and hole in ground".  I'm paraphrasing slightly but the the English was pretty much that bad and the gist is the same.

CampBX seems to be a fraud. It's been a few months now since they said they would retrieve my BTC which confirmed after the expiration of their 1-3 day address. They've contacted me twice now telling me they're still looking into it. I gave them the transaction ID and everything; how hard could it be?

They responded to me today, perhaps due to you guys' help. They waived a $150 fee for searching for where the missing BTC went.

I like CampBX, but I'm not sure why they discontinued Dwolla support.

I saw multiple people reporting this same issue on their facebook page in the past few days and depending on how the person reported it they said variously, we can help you but it will take time, it will take a week, or we can't help you (and then some reports they just deleted).  The stupid thing about this is that they are creating this problem with their "expiring addresses".  What is even more stupid is that their web page says the address expires in 3 days but in reality it looks like if your transaction isn't picked up in a block in about 3 hours they consider that to have been sending to an expired address.  So basically they give you an address and you spin the wheel of chance and maybe you get your BTC and maybe you don't.  And if you don't then you are subjected to their incredibly inept and non-responsive support where they may or may not actually help you (or even ever respond).

Try complaining on their Facebook page. From what I can see is that their support is trash. Also, it seems like a lot of people are having problems. Good luck, hopefully your issue is resolved soon.

I transferred some BTC to CampBX, but, after days, they have not shown up in my account. I contacted them, but they still haven't replied, when in the past they'd be pretty prompt. What's going on with CampBX?
