Use the "Receive" tab (since you want an address so that you can "receive" bitcoins).

Label the address with the "Label" field so you know what you created it for.
Click the "Request payment" button.

The wallet will create a bitcoin address for you.

Click the "Copy Address" button.

That should place the bitcoin address in your Operating System's clipboard.

Go to the field where you enter the bitcoin address for Slush's pool.

Press the [CTRL] and [P] keys on your keyboard if you are using Windows (or the [Command] and [P] keys if you are using an Apple computer).  This should paste the address into the field.

Double check that the address from Bitcoin Core is the same as the address that you just paste.

I finally got the Bitcoin Core synced . Whew! But I can't figure out how to get an address to have my coins sent to. It doesn't have an address book. I downloaded the v0.9.2.1-g354c0f3-beta (32-bit) from this page I
I set-up slush's pool but it is asking for Bitcoin address and I don't know how to get it. I am a total newbie so please be explicit. Thanks all!
