In the last ten days I have lost $2500 playing casino games. I lost so much mainly because I wanted to make up for my previous losses. Im happy that I stopt playing, because it for sure will end up with much bigger loss. For some it may seem like a small amount, but to me it is a lot. Such a loss will keep me from visiting the casino again for a very long time.

It's a very difficult thing to say or imagine that one, especially one that is addicted to gambling can actually halt or stop gambling. Though, when one actually gets to realise that he or she is loosing a significant portion of their income to gambling, it becomes a thing to worry about. Better still, you've got someone to see you through the withdrawal process until, it becomes a thing of pleasure rather than a way to finance for you.
So, its important that you keep a close watch on what goes out of your pocket into gambling, not really keeping an actual account book or perhaps apportioning a part of your income to gambling. No, a consciousness of what lives you is enough to do the trick but, if you can hold an account on it, better.

I have being gambling for quite a while now and  I don't think I'm addicted to it but nothing can make me stop gambling. Gambling is like a joy to me,
Stick to what gives you joy, in our today's society its really not easy getting joy especially in a society where citizens only strive to survive. i hope on the long run you don't get addicted or get trapped in the gambling cycle. no one plans on been addicted to gambling. most times its starts with been so passionate about it or deriving excess joy from it just ensure you always cross examine your emotions
Not all is lucky enough on having some funds which are extra for you to make use for your leisure times or simply with entertainment but there are people who do really tend to risk out not for getting some enjoyment

but rather making some income through gambling which is a very wrong mindset to have.If you dont know on how to control yourself in terms of finances and then you are engage with gambling then expect that

you would really be having some possibly big problem onwards. Dont wait up for the time to come when you do completely stop just because you dont have anymore money to spent.

Gambling is intoxicating and can give a great fortune if one is lucky and with the right fate. Can anything stop you from gambling...maybe your family, friends, circumstances or even your losses?

I feel you bit addicted to it as well although you say you are not. You might play either for joy or for money. If you feel to go back to gambling on any circumstances, then yes, you are drawn towards it. None can stop you from playing other then you. Family members can yes force you to stop or create an atmosphere to come out of it, but its you who is responsible to get rid of your thoughts wandering towards gambling. Just focus on other things you might be interested on which will divert you from gambling.

oh, you are addicted but just in denial. a lot of addicted gamblers are like this. saying that nothing can stop you from gambling and if you stop you'll have thoughts of gambling again. I'd say that you are on your way to being addicted. don't take my word for it. it is just my own opinion.

Can anything stop you from gambling...maybe your family, friends, circumstances or even your losses?
the simple thought of not being able to pay my monthly bills would stop me dead track from gambling.

And if you play for fun then you are in control as well would not be a stressful even if you lose some money.
i see it the same way. as long as you see gambling as a hobby, no one has to stop me from gambling like no one stops me from going to the movies or spending money at a party.
As soon as a gambling addiction is involved, it's a different matter, of course. But then you shouldn't hope that you can pull yourself out of it, but urgently seek medical advice.

But there is a very thin line where gambling is treated as a hobby or where gambling has become an addiction. Most people start gambling with the vision to have fun only, but they involved in it too much, that even they don't know that they are addicted to it.
We need to keep on tracking our gambling activities on regular basis and make sure that we don't spend more money or time in gambling.

Your losses will surely stop you from gambling.
But don't let it go beyond you cannot feed yourself anymore from putting everything in your gambling addiction.
Sure, it's fun and I don't blame you for the joy it could bring but there should always be limits on how much you will spend on it.
Just like how you buy your own clothing or everyday food, a budget is being set so you won't feel the guilt of spending too much for low quality.
Use that in gambling too, set a budget, and once it's used up take a rest.

If a loss could stop others from gambling, the gambling community might have been better since then but the opposite result is that a loss only enriches one's gambling mentality, quite a few people have acknowledged this when they are bitter when they fail, their goal is revenge and like an action movie, a revenge maniac will have nothing to stop them until the mission is complete. Complete for our selves is the smallest amount in the budget and cannot be deposited for gambling, so I just like to gamble by online game genre, deposit a little money to get a corresponding amount of assets, satisfy whenever possible

If you can't stop, it means you're addicted. In fact, according to Cambridge Dictionary, not being able to stop is the very definition of addiction. I even think that if you need something very significant to stop, it already means that you're struggling and, therefore, have a problem with it. For me, gambling is very casual. I place some bets and observe how I'm doing, but then I can stop doing it without much effort. Perhaps a part of why it's easy for me is that I don't dream of a winning a fortune, and don't really believe in fate.

Losing streak for 3-7 consecutive session seem to be able to change my mind for a moment to stop gambling regardless of what gambling I like. I've been through it and I have to say I was only able to quit for 3 month before I finally got back to gambling. Over the last 2 months on average I spent 20% of my monthly income on gambling, that's not much because it's still within safe limits for me and my finance.

Obviously I can still win and withdraw my initial capital and continue betting with my winning balance. But so far only losing streak have stopped me from gambling. The rest may be due to other desire that make me have to save more to make something out of the investment.

Depends on how one's self-control regards gambling as what?
Is it for entertainment or a hobby?
he will not be able to stop if he can't control gambling, if it is based on the desire for more, We ask ourselves when gambling, be the controller of gambling, not we are controlled by it.

If gambling is bound by the greed then it is a huge trouble in making because you will end up losing in the end as its a everyday process and will continue even if you try to stop as greed will not allow you to stop. And if you play for fun then you are in control as well would not be a stressful even if you lose some money.

New movies on Netflix and running out of money can make me stop gambling, I am well disciplined when it comes to gambling, in fact, I have no problem stopping I have time allocated on gambling, things are easy when you have control, but when you lack the control that's when problems occur, so if running out of money and strain relationship can't make you stop, then you have a big problem.

Despite having Millions, millionaire's and billionaire's do gamble a lot.
It only take self Discipline,Self control and a deep drive to stop gambling eventually.
You can still gamble but get a purpose, so you know what you do want at the end of it.
People get too much money and still gamble, folks get dead broke and still gamble.
You just have to listen to the inner you for guidance.

No I like to put deposit limits on gambling websites I use not many cryptocurrencyu gambling websites allow you to do this and I think that is one of the improvements that could be made by cryptocurrency gambling websites because they are helping their players not get addicted and lose all of their money.
^ This is what I have said on the first page if you are running out of funds, that is the time to stop because you know how to control yourself from addiction. But I got your point here, I don't know if there is a gambling site that has a maximum limit of deposit, I don't have heard yet but I think that is a good proposal here, something like a maximum of 1 BTC per day that you can able to deposit. In that way, there are no users that potentially become addicted in the future because the gambling owner itself putting a limit to have a limitation on how much you deposit.

There are many factors that might stop me from gambling but these are 2 of the top reasons why I stopped gambling.
I gambled a lot 2 years ago. A huge portion of my signature campaign earnings are going to a gambling site and I will bet it on NBA games. My short gambling journey didn't end up well but I didn't felt any regret or disappointment on it. Anyway here are the 2 reasons.

1. Money - I'm not the only one whose problem whenever they are gambling is money. All of us wants to gamble but not all of us are capable of gambling many times because of financial problems.
2. Priorities - I have many priorities in life and in which most of them needed money and I want to put my money into something that I prioritize with rather than something that will just made me fun or not fun TBH but nothing in particular.

Apart from the monetary aspect that everyone seems to be talking about, there are some other factors that i think can make me stop gambling.

Whenever i notice that my gambling activities has started interfering with my social life and causing depression to me, i will call it quits to gambling. I take my mental health very seriously and will not want anything to cause me issues. If my mental health is affected, it will definitely cause problems and affect other activities in my life and that will be detrimental to me. This is something to avoid.

Money can stop you gambling. If you don't have money, you can stop gambling but if you have money and you split it then you let someone handle your money like your mother if you are not married or your wife so that you cannot spend that money. The other thing is distancing yourself in any form of gambling platform even the physical one.

That's also my reason to stop gambling, running out of money I don't want to go to the extend of borrowing money just to play, I know the consequences of borrowing money for gambling, you lose twice if you are playing with borrowed money, and it will take you really hard to recover if you lose on borrowed money.
Never borrow money to gamble I am not sure what bank would give you money if you said to them you were going to gamble with it that is a terrible idea. If you get in the situation where you are thinking about borrowing money to gamble then you need to close all your gambling accounts and take a extended break it is not healthy.

I will stop gambling when I see my free time to play is over and I do not try to use more time to stay for gamble because the risk will become bigger. But when I played gambling and some friends or family ask me to accompany him to go somewhere, I will stop gambling because my friends or family are more important than just playing gambling. I can play gambling at the other time when I have free time. I never stop gambling because I run out of money, and I consider that gambling is just for fun.

I think it interesting to have two limits when playing gambling:
The first is obviously money: Spending more than you should on gambling is a classic sign that you're addicted, but many don't realize it.
The second is time: When a lot of time is wasted on any gambling, something that once could do you good (leisure time) has now turned into procrastination moments that could be used to learn something new.
A person who knows how to use these two limits wisely with gambling will hardly fall into addiction.

You sound like a gambling addict. "Nothing can stop me from gambling" and "I don't think I am an addict" is exactly what an addict would say. Gambling doesn't bring you joy. This is what you want to believe so you can justify your gambling habits. Get help before it's too late.
Gambling is intoxicating and can give a great fortune if one is lucky and with the right fate.
Yeah, you have to be very lucky to make a bank. Unfortunately, the exact opposite happens for the most.

Gamblers often face an impulsivity and control problem, which is often mixed with "boredom". People are creatures of habit and will have a tendency to go for what they know because it is the path of least resistance. Many people get comfortable with patterns and repetitive behavior - it provides a therapeutic effect on their mind every day. Learning new things can be a stressful experience, with some choosing to stay within the comfort zone that they've established through life. You have to remember that to break a deeply ingrained habit, you'll need to totally revamp your lifestyle and actively suppress the activity (gambling) that will niggle at your mind for the first few months, but yes, it's definitely possible to stop gambling if that's what you really want.

If you run out of money and your wife is leaving you because you are addicted
The first one is already enough for me to stop gambling. Why should I continue if I don't have anything left on my pocket? that's nuts to think that I'll have to borrow just to sustain my gambling needs but I'm not going to do that. I know what can be the negative effect on it not just for myself but also for my family. Well, the latter, it's for sure that going to make me stop when my wife is about to leave me because she's also being affected by what I do.

I'm enjoying so far my gambling activity since I involved myself here many years ago especially that I'm a sports fanatics too.

The fact that you admitted that 'nothing can make you stop in gambling' means that you are addicted to the game.

What can make a person stop from gambling? It depends but it usually revolves around their self-awareness on their actions. Most gamblers have separated themselves from reality and the society where they live in a world of gambling. What can make them stop is when they personally realize that their actions have been affecting their daily lives (especially if they have a family to feed).

Friends or their respective family can definitely convince them to stop from gambling but this will take at least some sort of dedication on their part.

If you run out of money and your wife is leaving you because you are addicted, that could possibly stop you from gambling but if these two can not stop you from gambling, then you are on your way to desperate times of your life, there should be a limitation and you should have a point of control where you can say that enough is enough, if you cannot do that, then you are in really big trouble.

One of the most top issues of family problems and divorce is the financial problem and some reason of it is gambling this is the reason why we know each priority first before having focused on the gambling if you think you don't have any money why not take a focus with that for your needs some of their mind set is if you try to gamble there's a chance you win that can double, or triple your money in just one game but again the risk is there to lose. Always gamble moderately. Focus on what's more important than satisfaction in gambling.

Losses can make you quit, but if you still have money in savings then it can be another way for you to keep gambling again. In fact, when you go bankrupt until you have no money you can still try to borrow, and that is something that is dangerous. So for me, something that can make you stop gambling is getting back into socializing and starting to keep yourself busy in many ways, like work, going on vacation or any activity that can at least keep you away from gambling.

There's nothing wrong in enjoying your pastime, as long as it doesn't hurt anyone, including yourself. Just stop and think for a moment: is your gambling harmless? If the answer is yes, then why should you stop? Keep gambling, and enjoy the activity that makes you happy. Only remember that the key here is stopping from time to time to check if the condition of harmlessness is true.

Someone who is really addicted or has set his mind to really gamble seems unstoppable to me. You also have to have the time and money for it. If you don't have much to spend, you don't have to worry about losing a lot.
But since the invention of the internet there are much more people who got addicted.
wrong belief because once you are addicted , surely even that you have no funds there is always things you will do to find one.
some addicted gamblers even Borrow money from others, some loans ,a nd some also steal from others and even Rob just to sustain their addiction.
so best to let it be settled all the time and accept your behavior towards gambling.

I gamble for fun and in as much as I gambled with the amount of money I can only afford to lose, thus I can't stop gambling, beside that, I bet only on soccer games and I played sure bets though with small odds, I am a soccer fan and I followed most EPL matches,  and I can predict matches that can be a potential winning, thus I earned some bucks which serves as extra income, I only try to avoid addiction, and erased the perception of becoming rich overnight while gambling in addition I also avoid being greedy.

I can stop myself from doing it. You think of your priorities and you can do that but it's a different thing if you're feeling joy with it. As long as you're doing it moderately and you're not harming others' wallets with what you're feeling, that's totally fine. Your situation also going to differ from the others who are feeling the same. If you're living a wealthy life then there's no need for you to think of your losses and you're just going to have fun and even if somebody stops you, it's the joy that makes you push yourself from doing it. But if you're just the typical guy who aims to win and hoping for that fortune and doesn't have much in the bank account, the result will vary and satisfaction.

There's two different solution for two different types of people.

(1) A rich person reason in playing gambling is for fun, mostly. They seek different kinds of entertainment to burn their money because they don't know anymore where to spend it, and losing it on gambling won't even hurt them anyways. So the solution for them is to make them realize that their money could have a better purpose, like donating to charities and helping those people that are on the lowest level of society.

(2) An average person would most likely play gambling because of 50% for entertainment and 50% to gain money, which most often gets dominated by the latter and ended up losing money instead of gaining some. So the solution for them is to make them realize that there's a lot of safer way to earn money while having entertainment aside from gambling. Although, that's the hard part, convincing them that there's a way, it's gonna take a lot of process but that's the only way for them to quit Gambling.

For me yes there's a lot of ways to stop my gambling activity when i'm that desperate, i've been there at one point where i'd try out different casinos every other day and it took me a while to cool off. Losing is one way around it but you're better off looking for other options like another activity that would kill most of your time. It takes a lot of effort to pull it off because the hardest part is accepting and realizing the losses you've made throughout your gambling journey.

That's wonderful to hear. Though people are not the same as you, I do have a friend who is addicted to gambling and has easily overcome it and i have also my other friend is really struggling, most of his assets have been sold, he is still low right now and trying to overcome it, we were not really close but I could see that he is struggling, he keeps trying to get rid of gambling but I can still see him going to his friends house.

Gambling should be played with pleasure it is possible to control if you do not become addicted if you become more addicted, you will lose everything gambling stops me when I have less capital gambling is best for you to seek professional help now that you will not be able to save your life. In both cases your gambling addiction is bad enough to make your gambling addiction worse you're addicted to gambling, it doesn't make sense to stop getting help before something terrible happens.

Someone who is really addicted or has set his mind to really gamble seems unstoppable to me. You also have to have the time and money for it. If you don't have much to spend, you don't have to worry about losing a lot.
But since the invention of the internet there are much more people who got addicted.

Yeah sure you are not addicted but No one can stop you right?

Now evaluate your attitude towards gambling , are you sure you are not addicted?

or you are just pretending to be not addict but inside of you ? addiction is indeed happening and covering your life now.

I guess you are being addicted because you can not stop gambling, as you say.
If you think you are not addicted to gambling, you can stop gambling although you enjoy the game.
Yes, gambling is a joy but we need to remember that it is not the real joy because behind that joy, you can lose any time and you will not realize it.
I can stop gambling whenever I think it is enough to gamble because I do not want to spend too long playing gambling and when the pleasure is enough, that is time for me to quit gambling and nothing can stop me from quitting gambling.

You yourself can stop you from exceeding your limits in gambling or if you don't have deep pockets then simply you will stop at one point when you will left with nothing so try to have cover at first step. But i don't know why you want to stop gambling if you are already playing in limits then it's not a big problem as enjoying as entertainment purposes is not going to harm you in any form so why put barriers to it? Keep putting small bets and imagine you win huge then would you ask same question? It is just state of mind on which we need to have stable control and know our stop loss limitations then gambling can bring you new things.

What you feel is enjoyment, but I see it in different perspective. That joy could be the start of your addiction, one day you will realize that you can't live a day without playing gambling games since it gives you your desire it's just like an alcohol addiction. I think you can still prevent it by disciplining yourself or controlling yourself to stop at a certain time if you think it's too much, at first it would be hard but that's a good behavior.

This is called addiction because when your mind drives crazy while doing it and you can't think about stopping it which is the early signs. Well, you will stop gambling when you lose your entire money because without money then there will be no more bet making.

I advise you to limit your gambling activities and spend time on other things as well, stuck with one think which gives pleasure to you can affect you mentally later.

No money in the bank could definitely stop me from gambling that's for sure. I'm not a degenerate anymore that it concerns me to spend money when I don't have anything saved up. It would wake me into my senses and tell myself that my entertainment isn't worth it if I am struggling to put something on my plate the next day. Perhaps you wouldn't really encounter this especially if you are from a well-off family, but hard and rough times often force us to drop the habits that are damaging us, including gambling.

Yes, maybe a law? if the government prohibited me from playing gambling games then yes I think I would stop playing gambling games now, also if my family members asked me to quit gambling I will of course, they wouldn't tell it if they didn't see anything wrong.

That sounds very nice hypothetically said, but it would not be so in reality. Someone who has a gambling problem continues to play despite the circumstances. No matter what his family tells him, he continues to play and lose more than he can afford to. As for the Government forbidding ... HAHA! Let's see if you think that in places where gambling is forbidden, people don't gamble. People gamble, but they do it underground.

If you easily get money not from gambling and some of that money you use to play gambling just for your own pleasure, I think it doesn't matter the most important thing is that you don't spend your money just to gamble and you feel happy and happy when playing it.

And if you don't have much money and hope to make a lot of money from gambling, you should stop gambling because when you bet your money will run out and you don't have it anymore and if it continues like that you will live in misery. playing gambling must see our abilities and realize it with
Self-awareness and wise and mature thinking will change the way you think.
stop gambling or can't stop depending on your intentions and aware of your own abilities, because you yourself feel and you alone can heal effectively and others only motivate and help according to their abilities.

Gambling is indeed for now can be used as a necessity for some people because in addition to releasing the tired period gambling can also be used as material to gain profit for people who already understand the technique and high luck.
but on average most people think they are not addicted to gambling therapy in fact almost every day they do it.
If you want to quit completely it never hurts to admit your addiction to gambling. You have to face the fact that your gambling habit has spiraled out of control and, with all your heart, you need to get back on a better path.
In addition, in order to recover from gambling addiction, it is important that you understand the reasons why you gamble. You can't build a foundation for a healthy lifestyle until you know the exact reasons that underlie your need to gamble.
if you have got the right answer i think you will be able to find the right solution to quit.
although it is difficult but if you gamble just to spend your money i think you need to change your lifestyle like that.

The deep problem of gambling is, gamblers never realize that they are addicted. Once you are unable to choose when to gamble and when to stop and when to avoid then you are probably got addicted to gambling and you must need immediate medical counselling before your addiction becomes too worst and ruining your life.

Can anything stop you from gambling...maybe your family, friends, circumstances or even your losses?
My responsibility. I feel my duties and I do avoid spending money unnecessary. I have gambled a lot and finished off my rounds mostly in losses which led me not to gamble anymore so that I could save all my hard earned money and secure my future.

Running out of money? Like really that'd be the only thing that could stop me. Not in the most worst case where I have no money to sustain myself, but rather money that was reserved specifically for gambling. I would never exceed a set budget that I have for gambling, especially in gambling, ever. If I do it even once, it'd be a lot easier to do it the subsequent times so I take the time to train my mindset to actually gamble within my limits. Heck, I highly doubt people who gamble till they have literally 0 cash would actually stop, since why would they when they were prepared to go bankrupt? They'd probably ask for loans and stuff like that.

I can only take a break from gambling when I start gambling beyond my budget so it doesn't become a habit. Once I notice I'm spending more than my budget I take a pause for a while then come back when I'm sure I can control my quest for gambling again but stopping gambling completely is a no. It's just a way of expressing my joy and support for the sports I love the most.

We shouldn't be narrow-minded... the end of one is the beginning of another one! It's literally "don't be a slave to your habits", do what makes you happy, what fulfills you, but be ready for changes, changes are inevitable! For whatever reasons you need to change your habit (in this specific case gambling) just do it! It will not be the end of the world, there's no need for crying and cursing... just accept the change and move on!
Of course, it can be hard in the beginning... leaving something you like/love is never an easy thing to do!

I have an old saying, it can be applied to gambling, but it also works for jobs, girls/wifes, or anything...

After losing something stupid people tend to fall into despair, they cry over that, thinking about what they lost... and so on! Smart people recover quickly and they are looking for a replacement right away! Wise people... they always have a replacement ready!

Yes there's something that make me stop, my money. If I'm already broke well there's no choice but to stop from playing since you don't have anything that you can place bet but I learned from that, every time you try to comeback in gambling after you tried to stop, you can try some alternatives like playing games that using not real money or demo money if that can't satisfy you, I need you need professional to check you up.

Gambling is intoxicating and can give a great fortune if one is lucky and with the right fate. Can anything stop you from gambling...maybe your family, friends, circumstances or even your losses?

Two things that can make you stop gambling, you run out of money and your family abandon you because of your gambling addiction, these two things will make you realized that you should take a break from gambling and start rebuilding your life again unless you suffer the deepest in being addicted to gambling that's the time you will have the courage to start thinking of quitting gambling.

Why need to wait for the worst case if someone want to stop gambling? Basically anyone can stop gambling anytime, as long as we have the "will". Even if the worst cases as what you mention above is happening, you wont stop gambling if you have no will to stop it. Lets say you are run out of money, you will try to get it by selling stuffs or getting a loan from others. No guarantees that such worst case will make someone realize what to do to be better. The key is on ourselves, so dont wait for the worst cases first if we are going to stop.

It depends on the thing that's stopping me. If it's necessary of an emergency, I would definitelyy stop from gambling. If it's affecting our family relationship then I would stop it. However, I will play and gamble as long as no one is getting hurt and affected negatively. It's also my happy pill because I feel entertained while playing. I just don't want to abuse it and I still control myself from gambling too much.

If gambling isn't entertaining anymore, I'd quit in a heartbeat.

Because that is when I'm most likely going to chase losses and treat it as a way to make money as opposed to just a form of entertainment.

The shift in mindset is definitely something to look out for if you think you are prone to problem gambling. Remember that the house, at the end of the day, always wins. There is simply no way of making money in the long run from the house, no matter how hard you try.

That's when I lost my first two high-paying traditional commissioned portrait drawings, from what I recall. Imagine converting your fiat into cryptocurrency worth $200 and simply throwing it into an online gambling casino because you want to try it out without any prior knowledge of bankroll management or how the game works.

And I guess that $200 has something to do with why I am so careful when playing at the casino — I still gamble, but only when I have some spare money to lose or am testing some technical stuff that is going on at the casino.

I'm a responsible gambler even I have already lose lots of money doing gambling. It's just that I'm not allowing myself to fall on that worst trap. No one can make me stop gambling but maybe in the future, there will be an event that can change my gambling behavior. Who knows.

But for now, I'm not even thinking of it. Just relax and chill OP. Do your usual gambling thing as always. If you are getting too much stress from losing, then quit or take a break in the meantime.

If you are a rich guy and just want to play gambling to satisfy your self go ahead because money doesn't matter at all to you but if you are just a normal person and have some financial problem I guess it's better to have risk management and conscious on your gambling and profit, not all the people today can eat and buy most of their needs.

Try to distract yourself fond another habit and enjoy the life like having family bonding, sports and more just get away from your gambling habit. Just do gambling when you have extra time and money.

I guess I am not attached so much to gambling that I couldn't quit from it anymore. There are actually a lot of things that could distract me from gambling. If I am tightening my belt, I wouldn't be spending money on unnecessary things such as gambling. If I am busy with work and I could only use my vacant time for something else more important, I wouldn't mind forgetting about gambling. The same is true if I am on a vacation or spending time with my family or friends. But I couldn't speak of completely staying away from it for the rest of my life. So far, I think I only had some months of not making any kind of bet. That's my longest retirement from gambling.

Don't get me wrong, but it seems you already have the signs of being a gambling addict. With that said, you really need to take a hold of yourself as early as today.

Gambling is intoxicating and can give a great fortune if one is lucky and with the right fate. Can anything stop you from gambling...maybe your family, friends, circumstances or even your losses?

That's the psychology of gambling as it plays on human emotions, thinking that "maybe" you can win and be lucky, but in most cases is it not. The only thing that can help you stop gambling is yourself. It's going to be a tough road, but you can start by saying to yourself that the money you losses, could be the money that you bring food in the table for your family 24x7x365.

Good thing though is that I didn't borrow money from friends and families to continue to gamble. So it took me years to recover, so it's a painful experience but I have learn my lessons well. As far as families or friends, I don't think that you are going to listen to them, as long as you have the funds and money to fuel your addiction, it's hard to stop by yourself.

If gambling was somehow disturbing the relationship with the family or friends I think it could lead me to stop playing, because those are the most important priorities in someone's life. But I believe it's unlikely for a situation like that to happen, because humans are rational and capable of understanding a leisure activity like gambling doesn't have potential to destroy relationships if people involved on them are under the control of the situation and their own minds. Due to past negative experiences with other friends or relatives, some people can't hear the word gambling that they already become desperated, but with some conversation it's possible to make them understand not everyone who gambles is an addicted individual.

When you have something else in mind you can stop gambling. Not necessarily porn but something like building your own business like ordering from Alibaba and reselling it locally. Seen some people changed their lives because they executed their plans despite having difficulties, it's just a matter of willingness to pursue your own goals. Priorities are what it is. Been gambling too but I know I have no budget to become a high roller so why should I go that way. I just bet on sports now.

The "gambling" is a game  Cool ... by the way I have days that I do not play poker, but it is not due to desire or time, it is that there are no circumstances that lead me to it, before I did it 24/7/365 Wink It is a special game for me, but that does not stop me from spending a few minutes on the autobet Smiley in the traditional casino games and a few bets in the sportsbooks.

By the way, playing must be conjugated differently to the adjective bet, they may always be related but playing can always exist in us without the action of betting.

If you are clear about that conjugation of terms, nothing should prevent you from being able to play whenever you want and even that freedom of the game in terms of betting or not can help you invite your friends and family to share fun moments both in traditional table games and online .

Losses!!! They are our daily bread, if you bet if you like to gamble, we are here to overcome losses and obtain profits, winning is the objective ... the losses are the enemy to beat.

If there's no reason to stop, why should you bothered to think of anything that might stop you? Think of stopping if you noticed something not usual is now happening and it's now affecting your daily lives.

Just enjoy doing gambling like you are doing currently. I found the question not healthy lol.

If you feel bad with your gambling activities already, better to start helping yourself because at the end of the day, your decision will matter so no matter what they say to you if you are not committed to stop playing then their advices are useless. Your family can guide you as much as they can, there is no question with this one. Personally, I don’t want my family to get involve on my gambling activities, I’d rather ask my friends for a help.

If gambling is a joy to you and you can still control yourself, manage your funds and emotions, why should stop?
Stopping gambling may need certain reasons because of money, family, friend, and also yourselves.
However, as long as you can really manage yourself and you are not being addicted, I think it is still okay if playing gambling is a joy only while getting or earning money from gambling.
However, if you have been feeling that your gambling activity is lost control and you are started to be addicted, I think that you need to think to stop at first or reducing the gambling activities in order to avoid the next level of addiction.

I have being gambling for quite a while now and  I don't think I'm addicted to it but nothing can make me stop gambling. Gambling is like a joy to me, it makes me happy and any time I tried to stop entirely, I would see my see going back to it.

Gambling is intoxicating and can give a great fortune if one is lucky and with the right fate. Can anything stop you from gambling...maybe your family, friends, circumstances or even your losses?

You don't think your not addicted but you cannot stop your self to get over with it? For always thinking and make gambling as your source of joy it already shows that you are already addicted with gambling. Maybe you should balance yourself of better end it so that it cannot create huge damage financially to you and your family.

Your friends, family, and even your losses can't stop you from gambling, you're the only one who can unless there is a real motivation to stop and cure yourself any intervention will fail, it's you who can decide when and how do you want it stopped until you realized that gambling is ruining you I don't think it can be cured, any intervention will be ignored and you will try to hide your gambling activity from those who want to intervene.

As long you do have the control then I don't see any problems with it but if you are already playing on daily basis then you should be aware into yourself that you might already get addicted to it.

Stopping is only on the time that you don't have something to spent or deposit into the gambling site or physical casinos because if you do know that you do still have left in your pocket

you would surely definitely play and continue but if those amounts or money would be totally lost then this is the time you do quit and stop forcibly since you don't have any choice.  Cheesy

Only if you know how to control yourself at first you don’t need anyone to tell you to stop gambling because you are a responsible gambler but if you are already into gambling addiction then you should find your way out of that addiction. My family matters the most to me so if something bad happen with my gambling activities, I will always seek for their help and advices, that could be the best reason why I should stop gambling.

It is not true, gambling is like joy to you. It looks like you're pacifying yourself with this statement. None will be into gambling for long time for the purpose of fun. Even the rich who doesn't care about money feel bored or find it hard to spend when he doesn't get anything back. For fun is a statement that makes people continue gambling and end up with massive losses. This looks like you're into the beginning days of addiction.

^ There is one thing that makes me stop gambling, the money.
If I have unlimited money as a capital, for sure I will not stop gambling of course. This is the most problem that we are facing right now, we are always chasing money and it could be the reason why you are addicted to gambling because you gamble not only for fun, you gamble just because hoping that your money becomes triple or double in just easy way. If you don't have money, you will totally stop and I think that is not a good idea if will get money in a dirty way. Nevertheless, as I can say, be a responsible gambler at all times and for sure you will be fine as a gambler, no one will stop because you can show them that you can manage yourself alone.
The fact that money can stop you suggests that you’re not a gambling addict. Things are different in the case of addiction: nothing can stop that person from gambling (maybe OP is facing something similar). People can have debts worth thousands of dollars, and take even more loans just to be able to gamble.

If there is something that can stop you - it means that you have control over the situation and, probably, could even set certain spending limits for yourself and stick to them.

Majority of people who could completely stop gambling is on the time that they dont have already money to spent and this had been always the case for most people.

If you cant stop gambling but you havent able to compromise your life savings then it should be fine but you should be careful because as long you do get involved with gambling you would slowly
be addicted to it.

If you do find out that you are already spending on the amount which is more than on the amount you are allocating for then thats a solid sign that addiction is on the way.

This is correct. As long as you have funds to gamble with, and you want to play, why not?
But if it comes to the point that you are already using your funds for basic needs, then, maybe you need to assess your gambling situation here.
I can understand that gambling is addicting but you should know your limits especially when it comes to financial aspect.
It is your free will that can stop you from gambling, your family can only support your decision. But it is yourself that will make that decision.
