I have the same problem with only 3 of the 4 boards working properly... Is this something fixable or must it be sent back to Bitmain? Just obviously concerned about the cost to send the miner back, the loss in earnings as well as probably having to re-pay customs to get it back!

Any help appreciated.

It is time to send the hash board connected to the connector (Chain 3) to the warranty repair for Bitmain.

I have my L3+ running with three hash boards, because I also have one hash board already sent for the warranty repair.

It performs just ok with only three boards, no problem with temperatures or anything.

You need to follow this repair guide carefully for the warranty repair https://shop.bitmain.com/workOrderGuide.htm

And ask Bitmain the permission to open the miner and remove faulty hashboard before doing anything.

Hello bro, Did you send your hashing board to Bitmain Warranty , And  please give me a procedure i was not getting what i do,

Its saying this on bitmaintalk ->
c. Click 'Print' on upper-right corner to print two copy of Repair Ticket. Stick one copy outside the package and put the other copy inside the package. The package will be rejected if there is no two copy of Repair Ticket.

this is from here ->
https://shop.bitmain.com/workOrderGuide.htm

without Tracking number how can i print 2 copy of repair tickets and 1 inside and 2nd out of box. ?

This is terrible and i feel your emotions, the mining companies should atleast ensure 100% working of miners or offer a refund or compensation of loss of mining revenue.

sure you can remove a hashing board,
I always did it by adding an "air-dummy"
not 2 influence the air-flow in the unit.

I even did some redesigns to 1U or 2U 19" Units.

Thank you for your help dude, but can you please let me know which is the "air-dummy", do you mean it is just a blank plastic plate?

Guys, I know the S9 is famous for dead hash board, anyone managed to run it with only 2 boards instead of 3?

Hello guys, so one of my L3+ suddenly stop working as normal, it automatically reset after 2-3 minutes. I check the miner status and it seems the hash-board number 2 is defective, it just does not show up, only the board 1-3-4 are there. I understand that I can remove the defective board and send it to bitmain to ask for them to fix it, but in the meantime, can I assemble to L3+ again and run it with only 3 boards? It seems the design is similar to the S9, so anyone run S9 with only 2 or 1 hash-board before?

Here is the screenshot of my miner status, do not know why it does not show up with the post, I insert the link between the IMG tag.
